To whom ever it may concern....this is the soundtrack of my numerous drives up and down Highway 99 in Seattle, WA. Any time im heading out of Queen Anne toward Everett, I got this (and many other indie folk tracks) playing. Peace. ✌
I am a new fan. Everything about you is endearing. I love your style. I could listen to you play your guitar and sing all day. And the knee slapper is not bad either! I am new to Texas so I hope I can see you play live sometime.
Just dont buy one of those guitars, unless you get one of the expensive American made ones, i had to take 3 of the Chinese ones back to guitar center for dead/scratched frets lol. I ended up with a les paul, but i'd still like a hollowbody just to play Shakey stuff on
Good to know Saltee, thanks! :) I was wondering if someone was going to reply since most comments are months or years ago. I am just getting into it. I have a les paul but I feel like I'm not good enough for it so I play on this crappy acoustic...I wish I was good enough to play Shakey songs! I love how he fingerpicks and his tone. Good motivation :)
I disagree, I bought one of the $600 ones used from guitar center and it was phenomenal. I didn't even play it first as I had it shipped from another store, so I was def lucky. You should always play any guitar before u buy it, but its very possible to get a great cheaper made Loar
The Loar by my experience is great. Just change the pickup and the electronics component, get it set up by a luthier, and tadaa you have a very good hollowbody guitar. Seriously, don't brag about "blabla american made bla chinese", unless you get yourself a handmade guitar. This is the same machineries used in USA, Mexico and Asia. Sure, when you pay for a Gibson you'll get an axe made with better wood and component than a The Loar, buy it does the job very well when you don't have 3000 dollars to spend in a guitar.
I really wanted to see what Alé (which direction does the line go 😅) was doing on the neck of his geetar, much more than the video shows. I really love the demo version, and would love to see what he is doing when doin the crazy fingerpickin that sounds like his own backup (or is that legit 2 layered recordings? Idk!)

Yes man mint
Shakey has a bit of Chris Whitley's Ghost in him....
What tune is that? Open c?
Are you using the honeytone mini amp or some other Dan electro?
Good question, think it was a little honeytone but may have to go back through the archives and see if we have a clear shot of it
Following up to confirm that it was a honeytone, think it was an N-10

annoying intro
This is the least memorable thing I've heard in a while. Is "noise folk" a genre?
This performance is terrible.
Your opinion is terrible.
relax Josef... it's not a "performance", just a fun musical moment. Please post your own so we might compare.
Literally the first negative comment I've come across on a Shakey video. I don't like it.
