The way this video is laid out is beautiful. I have been happily plucking away simple traverse patterns looking for something to help me break through to a more playful style like shakeys, but as others have said, there’s a lack of shakey content!! The techniques you show here are built up beautifully and lead to my breakthrough moment where I’m finally able to play around with structures! Thanks so much, extremely helpful!
Great video! Any chance to do a Tomorrow by Shakey tutorial also, looking at tabs seems similar approach.. i probably should start with black bird otherwise :D
Sir I understand what you’re trying to get across. I can’t do it yet but I know what I must do! Thank you. I’m able to play it the opposite way where I play individual strings with my thumps but haven’t been able to with other fingers because I couldn’t understand it. This helped me understand it and I get what you mean by having it as the bass. Thank you very helpful. I have a ways to go but this is something for me to work on! Thank you!
My man, shakey graves has been my artist of the summer and I recently have been trying learn some songs such as, built to roam and Georgia moon. I found your covers a just a couple weeks ago and I have been keep comin back to them to just try and figure out how the f*ck is this actually being done. Needed this video! Thank you! First one here too!
Appreciate the feedback man! Reassuring to know someone’s getting something out of it haha. If it would help, I can make a video kind of going through built to roam, Georgia moon, word of mouth, roll the bones, etc
@@shadetheband a more in depth explanation on would be killer! I know how time consuming making these can be but an explanation on Georgia moon, built to roam, or any song would be amazing. There aren’t to many tabs or tutorials to look into for a few of his songs. He’s got such a great style I’ve fallen in love with recently and your nailing it!
@@shadetheband I second this! I've tried to figure out some of his songs with middling success, and there's not too many resources. A couple songs would be awesome!
There’s a lack of shakey educational content on yt. Thanks! I like how you presented the video. More shakey content!
Thanks for the help Jim from the office
Great video. Well explained- now I just have to get to grips with it! 🙂👍

Great tips~ That Dusty Lion part is true, it sometimes feels like a guess on when to hit a note between those bass strums. Its all feel honestly
Excellent tutorial mate👍
This video was super helpful! Cant teach what you have to feel as you go.
