Can we all just take a moment to acknowledge than someone somewhere decided that the Aus Yaris got both heated seats and steering wheel whilst the UK yaris got neither. We did though get a UV windscreen which incidentally the Aus variant didnt.......one job springs to mind
Bought a Rallye. Absolutely love it. Of course it has flaws but as far as I'm concerned it's an absolute bargain for the amount of effort and engineering that has gone into it. What a car!!

Nice review I just bought the new Megane rs trophy 2021 EDC your vids are addictive after watching your Megane trophy video I actually went for a test drive and the rest is history what an amazing car but heck this Yaris looks like no slouch !!!
Megan RS is also a very nice car. Biggest difference for me is the suspension. Megan is hard, made for the circuit, GR Yaris is more suitable for dayly road circumstances
Weird that the Australian market gets the small display, JBL speakers, HUD and moving graphics in the rear cam. For the rallye pack. It looks like the comfort pack that you can't spec in other markets with the forged wheels with diffs.
Managed to get an order in for the GR Yaris Circuit Pack as someone canceled there order I am looking to picking up on the weekend. Though it would have been good to have some of the Convenience Pack features but once I start driving it all that won't matter.
The instrument cluster is THE BEST - LOVE the old fashion no BS style - Yeah Baby 😘 I wish I could get the GR Yaris without that pop-up infotainment screen... so unnecessary. And nice that you can feel what the engine is doing. A real race car...
Got one of these as my first car, perfectly fine in everyway besides my car having a few rattles. Only complaint I have is the infotainment screens position doesn't look great and hinders outward visibility. Sound could be better but I don't mind it. Also, my phone has never flew out of the tray
Mate that was the best review of a rallye and base GR. So many reviews in Aus and over seas just like to say the base is crap like a 6/10 vs Rallye 10/10 but neither are perfect. Base just needs PS4S tyres and both need the new Mirror Riser as looking left sucks. Plus a Exhaust. So for me as a Red Base GR owner I would say it's 8/10 car vs 9/10 for Rallye. Add PS4S Tryes and 8.5/10. PS Last the feel when you are in a high gear at a low speed is spot on. Thanks I did not know that. I stopped using 4th on 40km zones as the car feels like it will YELL at me. Come on dude I'm working to hard. Last I drove Mazda RX8 and same car hates high gear at low speeds. Race car.😎

Come on Dave - it's more like 6/10 vs 9.5/10. The 2 LSD's and better suspension make a huge difference, particularly on wet twisty roads. Most Rallye owners will upgrade tyres to even better ones. The small price for the upgrade is minimal given what you get for it 😎
Wow... you still kept the original wheels in use. Many would have swapped it out for cheaper/ better ones because of how ridiculously expensive the original one is.
H3ll ya I would buy the GR yaris Rallye in a NEW York minute to replace the Fiesta ST that I have owned and loved for going on 8 years❗❗❗ But since we could not get it here - I have already put a deposit on a Corolla GR Cuircuit & hope that I will actually get one. (not holding my breath though - sadly-:) THX for the video.
I've had my Rallye for 4 months and I think it's a great car but definitely not perfect. The engine has almost no low end torque and power under 3000rpm, poor visibility front and back, seating position is way too high, the 4wd system has overheated twice on me, the assists are annoying and require me to turn them off every time, the engine note sounds like a tractor on start up and there's no real engine note besides the fake sound enhanced stuff. With that said, I enjoy every drive in it and now it's strictly a weekend car. It's a brisk car but not that fast if you've had modded JDM cars before. Overall I think I'll be keeping mine for some time to come.
They will always be available but many countries will discourage people from buying them by adding high taxes. They will be classified as a luxury item.
I guess it depends. You want practicality sure or straight line performance, but if you want a true blue hot hatch not built on an economy car platform the GR Yaris is my pick!

GR Yairs over any new hot hatch out now. There's a reason why this is in the spot light. It's a modern classic.

White GR should be white stitching and red GR Red. Black well either but you can't have everything. PS I would have spec few things different.
