I’m not a professional cleaner - just a homeowner. I want to personally thank you, Angela, for sharing this information with everyone and not just professionals. And I’d like to thank all of the professional cleaners who comment on the videos. I’m learning from all of you. Thank you!
From a professional cleaner thank you for the time you took to recognize cleaners and thanks for being a caring homeowner, I have great clients like you that I appreciate cleaning for ❤
I'm glad I stumbled onto your site. I'm retired from the legal profession, but not ready to stop working & thought of housecleaning in early 2023. My friend mentioned me at her church for anyone seeking a house cleaner. I now have 2 clients now & am a care giver. I'm so happy to learn better ways of cleaning so I can grow my biz. Thank you!
I am 30 years old who is very new to keeping a clean house. I love love love your videos. You are so professional and provide me comfort in your knowledge and how you present the information. My husband is a medical resident, and we have two kids.
I'm not a professional house cleaner, but I was diagnosed with ADHD when in my late thirties. I have always been messy and my house was always cluttered. After beginning ADHD meds, I can finally focus enough to clean my home. I started working from home during COVID and last year my Mom had a debilitating stroke so I made home renovations and additions and brought her to live with me. I cannot get enough of your tips and instructional words of wisdom especially since my house almost doubled in size. I have always used water only to clean windows and if necesary, a vinegar/water solution with some Dawn. I always get strange comments when people find out I hate Windex and try not to use a lot of chemicals when cleaning. My cleaners consist mostly of Dawn, water, baking soda, citric acid and vinegar. All of this to say THANK YOU and I am now a subscriber! 🙂
I watched one of your videos a while back and you suggested microfiber cloths (microfiber wholesale) for window and glass cleaning. All you needed was water. I thought to myself, too good to be true. I bought them anyways...I clean vacation rentals and 2 years later I have cut all windex use and paper towel use out of my cleaning. I save so.much money and keep trash out of the landfills!
Ah, but I am learning new things with you and I am absolutely excited. I think I am sick… who gets exited about house cleaning? I could totally be doing this for living
Love the “car” squeegee, with the king handle! You’ve solved my problem of trying to reach down to clean my old fiberglass shower - arthritis in my knees makes kneeling in there to clean, impossible now.
You give some of the BEST advice! In this world of "You NEED this cleaner. You NEED this expensive brand. You NEED this whatever." You tell us the truth. You explain it as it should be. Thank you.
I microwave my sponges every night after washing them and spraying hydrogen peroxide I also use down dish soap with hydrogen peroxide inside the shower every day after showering. I shower one day in the kid’s bath and other day in my bath so they both get clean every other day. I sanitize toilets everyday and I disinfect weekly with products and with my heavy duty vapor clean steamer (my god, that steamer is in another level)
I totally agree about people not following up on cleaning their shower I’m a cleaner too and bathrooms are the most consuming time especially when it’s moldy
Angela, I appreciate all your videos. I'm a stay at home homeschool mom of 4 girls and I can't afford to hire a cleaning company although I really wish I could. I use alot of your ideas. Thank you.
I just found your channel and I am absolutely in love with you 😂 I am a clean freak. I can’t hire anyone because they become very intimidated by how efficient and fast I am. My moto is “all crevices will be well cleaned” hahaha my helpers always say, ‘I should be paying you because I am learning so much”. Right now I have a friend helping me and she is so happy that I clean along with her, but she keeps saying I don’t need help 😂
For C Ziv, I have also been very ill over the past 2 years and although better than I was, having chronic illness means I have had to alter how I do things too!! Like Angela, I agree that you just do what you CAN, and take care of yourself first. Housework is very patient... it will wait for you, LOL!! Now what works best for me is what I call "puttering". I get up and do a small job, or even part of a job and then rest for a bit. Then go back and do a little more. Example is in the bathroom.... do the sink, then take a break. Clean the toilet and take another break if needed. No one is timing you so go at your own pace. I often do things when I need to go to that room for another reason, ex every time I go to the bathroom I clean one thing. By supper time the whole thing has been cleaned ( or all but the floor) and I haven't stressed myself. Do dishes sitting on a chair or stool, wipe down one thing every time you go get a drink or snack... just 60sec and before you know it the whole thing is done. And concentrate on the most important things only!! And let your partner do what he/she can. Even if it isn't to your standards let them sweep or vacuum. You may need to tell them what needs to be done, but DO NOT be embarrassed to ask for help!!! We all need help sometimes. It does NOT mean you are weak, it means you are HUMAN!!!
Here I am with covid for the first time.. needing to clean my apartment so bad… hoping to get some sort of inspiration to get up and clean. I just don’t have the energy.. so I’ll just watch cleaning tips
I keep the dollar tree broom head in my bathroom, shower caddy, and I can wash down the hole tiles and shower curtain and bathtub with it real quick. Never a big problem to keep my bathtub. Real clean and I can even use it on my shower curtain
Warning re using Dawn as a regular, everyday hand soap: it is a very strong degreaser that will dry out your hands in the long run. Especially when you wash your hands frequently. Cleaning "job" hands that have just been through cleaning greasy grimy stuff is different, of course. ♥️ Dawn is a really great allrounder cleaner, I fully agree. 😊 I love that you say to be sparse with strong chemicals in the toilet. Toilet water goes back into the drinking water cycle, so you don't want to fill it up with toxic chemicals.
NiNi, Thanks so much for reaching out to let us know about Dawn possibly drying out hands. It’s always good for people that work with their hands a lot to regularly use hand cream. Also, thanks for sharing about the chemicals in the toilet getting into drinking water. 👍
Nini you are SO RIGHT! I had been filling my soap dispenser in my kitchen with Dawn and found myself washing my hands with it a lot. Hands got really dry. Now I have a refillable foaming handsoap dispenser so I water it down a lot. Lasts longer too! Don't forget your handcream!
Thank you for all of the tips and motivation. I am a homeowner. I just have one toilet brush. I keep it in a plastic basin from the hospital, in the cabinet under one of the sinks. I use the basin to take the brush from one bathroom to another so it doesn’t drip.
I grew up close with my cousins. I never knew they had a housecleaner until I was about 17. We always had to clean up behind ourselves, including washing out the tub after each use.
It's interesting that there are so many ways youtubers can get paid. A behind-the-scenes or a making-of one episode video would be cool. Thanks for sharing what you know and breaking it down just like you do for any topic. I don't always agree with your recommended products and already know about some of your cleaning talking points as I worked as a janitor for a few years, I always learn something new and I enjoy your enthusiasm on cleaning
I bought one of those twisty drain cleaners about a decade ago, and it is the best $4 I've ever spent. I live in a rental apartment built in 1910. The plumbing is somewhat delicate, and the building maintenance man gave me the go-ahead to use this. Cleans out the drain in a couple of minutes. BTW, Costco sells packages of 21 Scotch-Brite blue scrubby sponges for a great price. I didn't know you could throw them in the washing machine!!
Great video! I'm glad I stumbled on your channel ! I'm a Professional cleaner for 12 yrs..Through covid lost my business.Trying to get started again. But it's all good! I'm very passionate about how I clean my customers house. Ty for sharing all good info
Love your channel!!! I haven't had a clogged drain ever (age 56) bc I use a little dawn & run hot water in my kitchen sink so that it gets rid of the grease that can clog a drain. 👍
The best thing I found to clean the bottom of the shower when a necessary deep clean is needed: spray with laundry pre-spotter like Shout, and let it sit for awhile, maybe ten minutes or more, then clean with your sponge or microfiber cloth and rinse well. Amazing results.
+Barbara Sauer what kind of surface is the bottom of your shower made of? The key if you’re going to use a cleaning chemical other than its intended purpose, is to check the pH balance, and make sure it’s safe for the surface you’re using it on. Another note, is to make sure that it is your own shower. You’re experimenting on and you’re not your customers showers.
My secret weapon for shower floors and shower walls is the Libman "No Knees Floor Scrub Brush". It's outstanding. The hard bristles make quick work on all kinds of shower messes, even showers that have been neglected for a bit. The best part is the long stick combined with the 360° swivel head, which allows me to all areas comfortably, while standing. It negates me having to get on my hands and knees, work up a sweat, and break my back scrubbing all of the nooks and crannies of the shower. Now neglected showers that would normally take me 20 - 40 minutes to clean, take no more than 5 - 10 minutes of cleaning! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Word of caution: don't use the brush on your fixtures, it might scuff those up. Stick to softer bristled brushes or sponges for your fixtures.
Windex or generic glass cleaner (the blue stuff) will remove blood stains from any surface, including clothing. It will also remove old blood stains too. Just spray, leave on about 5 minutes and you can see it dissolves the stain. May need to repeat for stubborn stains. Then either wipe away or throw in the washing machine.
This was an especially fun Live. You always get my weekends off to a great motivational start. ☺️ And I’ve already got several things in my Amazon cart.
When there are industrial oil spills like in the ocean, rivers, etc Dawn dish soap is used to clean birds where their feathers have been coated with that oil. You are right - excellent degreaser
When i clean dishes, at my sons apt and two roomates, the guys have stuck on food on pans etc.. I put on stove, boil it off then clean. If its a cereal bowl i put in microwave with water in,the bowl to a boil it comes right off.
Thanks, oddly enough, we use it on just about every job for something. It's great as a barrier for overspray used for furniture, carpets, paintings, trinkets, mirrors, baseboards, etc.
Hi Angela, thank you! I am watching repeat on Sunday. I immediately got some Dawn dish soap and an empty pump bottle that I had. And I brought in the fabulous car squeegee that you showed, from the car. Im considering getting a steamer for cleaning. Funny, I just Decluttered my clothes steamer. But a cleaning steam has a concentrated nozzle. I watched your steam mop. If I can clean my moldy bathroom grout, that would be great. I tried cleaning the bottom corner of my shower today, after listening to this. I’m a senior that doesn’t have very good balance. And I forgot that there was rod a rod over my head. I bumped my head. I’m not going to take chances getting hurt. I’m hoping that the steamer can get out that molding corner. Will it? Let’s have some fun now. Let’s play Jeopardy!!! Contestant: “I’ll take phrases or $100.” Host: (lifts the square) It say “Angela Brown.” Contestant: “Who says muckety-muck” Host: “Correct” I just love you, Angela!!! Hope this gives you a smile!!!
@@AskAngelaBrown thank you. Later today, I ordered a Bissell Steamshot so I could clean that area a lot easier. I hope I don’t have to bend down. I wish my long handled spin brush (Hommitt?) could clean it. I guess I could steam it and then use the spin brush?
Omg great idea! Once I put my bucket on a wood floor not even thinking it left a ring of the bucket on the floor I almost had a stroke so glad it ended up going back to color before I left sheeesh😮
Thank you for talking about septic health!! I do septic education for a living and the advertising term "septic safe" is the bein of our existence. It has no industry meaning and is only there to dupe owners who fear a septic failure. Please help get this word out! Thank you so so much!!!
I started a residential cleaning business and the info you giving is really helpful and also learning from you very informative thank you and your tips on saving money on products
Make sure when using the baking tray liner on the bottom of the oven, at least when using in gas ovens, that you don't cover the heat vents on the sides of the oven. They'll wreck the heat sensor. Most of those liners can be cut to fit between the openings.
Worse: covering vent holes of a gas oven increases the amount of Carbon Monoxide entering your home. CO accidental poisonings lands people in the hospital every year in the US, not to mention the annual deaths.
Dawn does not dry out my hands and I have made foaming hand soap with it. My husband like it for grimy hands and it is the Platinum 4x. Dawn and vinergar mix spray is great for soap scum.
I refuse to have a toilet brush in my house anymore. A guest staying over a weekend used the toilet brush to remove poop off the side of the bowl and replaced it in the holder with some of the poop still stuck to the brush! When I discovered it after they’d left I put the whole lot in a bin liner and put it in the bin outside (I live in uk 🇬🇧) 🤢🤢🤮 I’m not a professional cleaner but love your channel as get the best tips and advice ever 😘❤️😘 x
Omg...yuck!! I can only imagine what that was like. Sorry that it happened to you. Thank you for taking the time to comment and for watching the video, I appreciate it!
If one person does a room and another person vacuums, the person who dust will lift the cushions on the couch, if they need vacuuming under the cushions
Sorry I missed it live. Thanks for all your tips and tricks and under $20 products. I can't wait for "part 2" since you didn't get to all of them. LOL I have been thinking it is time for new toilet brushes and was looking at the one you had mentioned and it reminded me of the flat silicone toilet brushes that I've seen people use and I was wondering if you have ever used one like that or have any concerns with them.
Yes, the flat silicone brushes also work as long as you clean all the areas of the toilet. I'm seeing some fancy schmancy toilet brush designs (some still in prototype mode) and for the most part - the traditional brushes designed to fit a traditional toilet work best.
I wish I knew how to "Train" my husband to squeegy and wipe down his shower after he uses it every day. But, he hasn't/won't do it AT ALL!! Ugh! I don't like cleaning up after him. He's messy. I showed him how to wipe it down, I put the squeegy and scrubber in the shower for him to easily take care of it, but no luck. The shower door is etched with water marks now and I haven't been able to get the glass shiny & clear. I will use your products and expertise that you're sharing with all of us and I have a good feeling it's going to look better soon. Thanks for your help.
Interesting video! Please warn people about those *oven liners. They can be deadly.* I recommend this video: "Oven liners may pose danger if not used correctly" at WKYC Channel 3. Besides ramping up poisonous Carbon Monoxide production, they can ruin the heating element.
Thanks for sharing this. It's true when it comes to cleaning products, even ones like this that the instructions be followed and they are used according to the manufacturers specifications. 👍
@@AskAngelaBrown Someone said they will cut them to adapt them. Ovens blow the air around inside, so they might shift and still be deadly by covering the holes! I do appreciate your earlier reply! Thank you.
I don’t watch tick-tock but I do mix dawn with hydrogen peroxide. I will have to make sure it is ok now. Thanks for the heads up. I love you even more for pointing out something I might be doing wrong
I HATED doing dishes in the pre-Dawn dark ages (see what I did there? 😁). Mom always bought Palmolive, and it did not cut grease. One of my biggest pet peeves was not being able to get a pan clean, and coming out feeling greasy. Then when Dawn came out, it changed my life! I use it for EVERYTHING!!! And the new power wash…you can refill that spray bottle with one part Dawn power wash and 4 parts water to save a ton of money. BUT…make sure you get the power wash Dawn.
Hello! I am not a professional house cleaner but I love your videos! Could you please tell me what I can use to remove well water rust stains from my bathtub? Thanks so much!
Sure! Well water can sometimes have minerals in it that can cause rust stains. To remove these stains from your bathtub, you can try using a mixture of baking soda and vinegar. Here's what you can do: Mix together equal parts of baking soda and vinegar in a small bowl until it forms a paste. Then use a soft cloth or sponge to apply the paste to the rust stains on your bathtub. Let the paste sit on the stains for about 30 minutes; after 30 minutes, rinse the paste off with warm water. If the stains are still there, you can try repeating this process until they are gone. But please note that this method may not work for all rust stains, especially if they have been there for a long time. If that is the case, you may need to use a stronger cleaning solution or contact a professional for help.
Hi Angela iam trying to put a plan together to start getting my own house cleaning jobs as I work at phone company cleaning. I know its gonna be a slow process your videos are great I live in North east England. Do you have videos on pricing and what advice would you give about myself timing how long it would take to do certain tasks in my own house before going to a customer as I haven't advertised yet I wanna be at the level needed to go out what would your advice be.
That’s great that you want to start a cleaning business. Here is a link to a pricing playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLh1fKdNH3piTmOH6a-XTQfIOB4o063XZz You can do it! 👍
Sorry to hear that! Take care of yourself, you can clean later. Your health shoudl always come first. Sending prayers for healing and a speddy recovery.🙏🙏
I think the Barkeeper's Friend link might need to be updated - pointing to the same link as Bio-Clean. Also, similar for the links for the plastic pump bottles and Blue Magic. Really appreciate the product tips and suggestions. 👍
Thanks so much Sarah! I’ll get my team on it. In the meantime, here is a link to Bar Keepers Friend: www.amazon.com/shop/angelabrown/list/3PM7ZAZDKUCSI and Blue Magic and plastic pump bottles can be found here: www.amazon.com/shop/angelabrown/list/27FEVCG5EXOXS
Aldi once in a blue moon has some of the things you mentioned for cheap. Flexible cutting boards, etc. I bought an inexpensive set of tools with a telescoping handle. Its good for ceiling fans, cobwebs, and too short person stuff. But check out Aldi!
Great tip! Yes, they have some fun things there from time to time - it's not always the same stuff, so it's hard to recommend that store (or Lidl) as a place to buy specific items if they are not always stocked there. Great recommendation though. Thanks for sharing this.
I clean my toilet every day. My clients only have one toilet brush in their 2 or 3 bathrooms. Really dislike carrying it from room to room and yes, I have bought toilet brushes for my clients.
Thank you so much Angela. I love your videos and learn some tricks about clean. Just a question. If the soap have been in the glass for a while. Do you think it going to come off only with the down detergent and the car scrub?
If soap has been left on a glass surface for an extended period, it can become difficult to remove. Simply using a mild detergent and a car scrub may not be sufficient to get rid of the soap residue entirely. However, you can try the following steps to improve your chances of success: Fill a bucket with warm water and add a small amount of mild dishwashing detergent. Wet the glass surface with the soapy water and let it sit for a few minutes to loosen the soap residue. Next, gently scrub the glass with a non-abrasive sponge or cloth, starting from a small inconspicuous area to avoid scratching the glass. If the soap residue persists, you may need to employ a glass cleaner specifically designed for tough stains and soap scum. Follow the cleaner's instructions and use a soft cloth or sponge to apply and scrub the glass. Rinse the glass thoroughly with clean water to remove any remaining soap or cleaner residue, and dry it with a lint-free cloth to prevent water spots. It's important to note that for particularly stubborn or long-standing soap residue, you may need to repeat these steps or consider using a stronger cleaning product. Also, be aware that specialized cleaning techniques may be required for certain glass surfaces like frosted or textured glass, so it's advisable to consult the manufacturer's recommendations if applicable. Hope this helps.
@AngelaCleaningBrown Q: is there any tips you can give for a disabled person to clean. I have had 12 back surgeries to date and found it very difficult to clean around my house? Love your channel!!
Cleaning can be challenging for individuals with disabilities, but there are ways to make it more manageable. Plan and pace yourself by breaking tasks into smaller segments and spreading them out. Prioritize high-traffic areas and use adaptive cleaning tools designed for individuals with disabilities. Optimize your cleaning techniques by letting cleaners sit before wiping to reduce physical effort. Establish a maintenance routine to prevent excessive dirt buildup. Modify your environment with doormats, organizational systems, and storage solutions to reduce cleaning needs. Remember to prioritize your health, take breaks, and celebrate your progress. Do not hesitate to seek assistance from family, friends, or professional cleaners when needed. Remember you are not alone.
I like to keep a dish scrub brush in my shower. The type that has a hollow handle to fill with dish soap. I fill it with half blue soap and half white vinegar because the hard water leaves mineral deposits in this area.
Hi Angela! I wanted to let you know that some of the product links in the description box don’t link to the actual product you recommended in the video. For example, the bathroom mirror hanger links to one that only holds one thing. Another one, which I really wanted is the edge less microfiber towels. It links to one’s with sewn edges. Btw… I absolutely LOVE your videos!
Hey Jenny, Thanks for the heads up. This show is part of our live shopping show on Saturdays amazon.com/live/angelabrown where we give you cleaning tips and the tools to make them happen. Since this morning 3 of the companies who sell edgeless microfiber cloths have raised their pricing above $20 (I know because I keep changing the link here to match the title of our production), and the companies left under that price won't have the 5 pack multi colors or they have edges. Here is a paid link amzn.to/3qbxI8o to one company with three or four colors in their edgeless collection. NOTE: If you're like me, you will be happier with the microfiber cloths that are 12 x 16 because they are 4 inches bigger than the 12 x 12 ones which are also good, but a tiny bit small for daily cleaning. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I'm still trying to figure out how the live shopping game works. I think when they sell out they re-route you to the next vendor. Not sure. 😁
That's interesting at the 20 min mark about scratching the porcelain. I currently rent an apartment, there was a toilet clog, maintenance brought a toilet auger and scratched up the toilet really bad. Since I don't own it I'm ok but was thinking of how to avoid that if when I do own a home. I guess this is not necessarily cleaning related but I see what you mean how metal can scratch up the toilet
I love sweet scented cleaner that can leave the bathroom smelling like strawberry, I’ve smelled them in some medical offices and some public bathrooms, what do they use that makes it smell so nice
How do you wash your microfiber cloths. I use rags and disinfectant them after each use. I carry a cloth diaper bag to keep putting my rags in while cleaning.
I've tried all the Dawn (and Fairy) versions over the years and hands down love the Blue Dawn the best. It works better for me for the cleaning I do. If you want to get technical about it, here is an article from the National Library of Medicine on surfactants as antimicrobials: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7166552/
@@griselleisara3799 It also says Dishwashing Liquid on the front, and it was on the shelves with the other dishwashing liquids. But yes, you are right, now that I examine the front and back labels, it does emphasize hand washing! It also says 2x grease fighting, as opposed to 3x grease fighting for the blue type. I was only using the antibacterial Dawn on my flatware, so now I definitely know to use the blue Dawn for everything else. Thanks!
@@VancouverBorn No, they mean actually washing your hands. The front label says "antibacterial hand soap" as well as "dishwashing liquid", BUT the back label says its purpose is "antibacterial hand soap", its use is "for handwashing to decrease bacteria on the skin", and the directions have instructions on how to wash your hands and forearms. So I would conclude its primary purpose is to wash your hands, but you can also use it to wash dishes.
Here is a paid link to my Amazon store where you can find some toilet brushes I recommend: www.amazon.com/shop/angelabrown/list/27FEVCG5EXOXS?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d
Question about toilet brushes, if you clean for a commercial business and you use a cleaning caddy & only one toilet brush for the building what brush would you recommend? I really like one that’s enclosed completely. I can’t stand the thought of the brush touching something in my caddy.
Yes, a toilet brush with a case or caddy that prevents contact with other cleaning tools would be a good choice. Another option is a disposable toilet brush with wand refills, like this one: amzn.to/3TTZ8j0 (affiliate*)
Not sure if this has already been mentioned, but rather than referring to "Susan as Lazy" 🤣, a better term used now is a 'Tina Turner'. [No Tina was offended in the creation of this label] 🤣
Q Do you cover how to clean laminate wood floors? I have a cleaning lady and my floors always look great after she’s done. I want to have that same look after I do it. My cleaning lady only comes once a month.
i don't have a video to share. But here are are my cleaning suggestions. Begin by sweeping or vacuuming to remove loose dirt. Then, prepare a bucket of warm water with a small amount of mild, pH-neutral cleaner formulated for laminate floors. Wring out a mop or microfiber cloth well and gently mop the floor in small sections. Avoid excessive water to prevent damage. For stubborn stains, lightly rub the area with a damp cloth and cleaning solution. Rinse the floor with a clean, damp cloth or mop and dry thoroughly to prevent water spots. For regular maintenance, use a dry microfiber mop or laminate floor cleaner. Check the manufacturer's instructions for specific care recommendations. With proper cleaning, your laminate wood floors will maintain their beautiful appearance even between visits from your cleaning lady. Hope this helps.
After I clean my toilet bowl, I flush the toilet, and rinse out the brush with the clean water. If the water seems murky after rinsing the brush, I repeat process. Then I lightly tap the handle on the bowl (not so much to cause particles to fly airborne) to help remove access water. Finally, I place the brush between the seat and bowl, and allow it to dry while I move in to other important chores, like watching professional cleaning videos. Also, I make it a habit of wiping the bowl and seat with a wad of TP between cleanings. The TP can go directly into the bowl before I flush. Also, I keep a small bottle of Dawn in the bathroom. I have an electric water kettle that I use just for the bathrooms. When the toilet gets clogged, I dump the Dawn, then boil water to dump down the commode and flush. Using Dawn was a plumber’s hint. Buying a kettle for the bathrooms was my own idea.
I love this idea. Thanks for sharing this. I'm curious does the kettle trick also work for clogged sink and bathtub drains or do you just use in on/in the toilet?
You are very organised! I have a general cleaning caddy for everywhere but also specific things in the bathroom. I'll add Dawn to the bathroom armoury!
@@AskAngelaBrown I’ve never tried with sinks…except one day before thanksgiving when I test-cooked a turkey in the instant pot and after making bone broth, I threw all the bones and well…entire turkey … in the garbage disposal, and the sink clogged. I can’t tell you what unclogged it, because I used a gallon of Dawn, boiling water, vinegar, baking powder, baking soda…I even tore my sink apart. I was plunging and dawning, and sheesh! I don’t recommend dumping turkey bones in the garbage disposal. But I haven’t tried it in the bathroom sinks. It does work well in the toilet. After I use the bottle of Dawn, I fill it up again, for next time it clogs.

I totally agree about people not following up on cleaning their shower I’m a cleaner too and bathrooms are the most consuming time especially when it’s moldy
Agree! Prevention is key when it comes to maintaining a clean shower
We all appreciate you Angela🌷💜🌸you’re the angel 👼🏻 in all our homes🏡🏡🏡
Oh wow, I'm blushing. Thank you so much. You just made my day. 🙏☺
Angela, I appreciate all your videos. I'm a stay at home homeschool mom of 4 girls and I can't afford to hire a cleaning company although I really wish I could. I use alot of your ideas. Thank you.
Wow, I am sure you are super busy. Good thing you have 4 helpers. 😊
Thank you! I have a very bad back & use your tips to reduce the effort. Working smarter not harder!
You're so welcome! Happy to help!❤
I just found your channel and I am absolutely in love with you 😂
I am a clean freak.
Welcome!! I'm so glad you are here! 😃
I admire you soooo much thank you for motivating me .
Thank you so much for these kind words!😊
I am caregiver I been trying dawn and vinegar bake soda to clean my house.
Thanks for watching and we are pulling for you!👏👏👏
For C Ziv, I have also been very ill over the past 2 years and although better than I was, having chronic illness means I have had to alter how I do things too!!
Thank you so much for sharing these helpful tips. Sending you hugs! 🤗
You’re welcome thank Angela ❤
Thank you!
Here I am with covid for the first time.. needing to clean my apartment so bad… hoping to get some sort of inspiration to get up and clean. I just don’t have the energy.. so I’ll just watch cleaning tips
Oh no! I am so sorry you are sick. Wishing you a speedy recovery. 🤗
I keep the dollar tree broom head in my bathroom, shower caddy, and I can wash down the hole tiles and shower curtain and bathtub with it real quick. Never a big problem to keep my bathtub. Real clean and I can even use it on my shower curtain
Thanks for sharing that tip! 🙂
I’m grateful for you! You are a very good teacher!
I appreciate that! Thanks for joining me here.
As a new cleaning company starting a month ago I have been watching all your videos and have helped me out like crazy
Hooray! I'm so thrilled and appreciate you joining me. Keep me posted on your progress. I'm here rooting for you.
I definitely will
I just got a contract with a fire and restoration company as a vendor doing post construction cleaning services
I’ve been stuck on your videos! Every single time you mention the time I’m shocked, quickest hr ever!” So much cleaning” .. delightful!
Yay! Thank you! I appreciate you watching! 🙂😊
I love that you say to be sparse with strong chemicals in the toilet.
I appreciate you watching the show and leaving such a nice comment. 👍
I love that tip about the car I never thought of that I've been cleaning for a long time now and the vehicle I've never thought of 😊
Glad it was helpful! 😊
I grew up close with my cousins. I never knew they had a housecleaner until I was about 17. We always had to clean up behind ourselves, including washing out the tub after each use.
That’s great! Learning skills like this when you are young will last a lifetime. Thanks so much for sharing this story. 😊
Georgina, A behind-the-scenes show is a great idea! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a comment. 👍
Good to know! Thanks for sharing your input and for watching the video, I appreciate it!
Dollar tree gets them often !

I haven't had a clogged drain ever (age 56) bc I use a little dawn & run hot water in my kitchen sink so that it gets rid of the grease that can clog a drain. 👍
What a great idea. Thanks for sharing this.
Grease is the worst thing for a septic. Please wipe off all grease before you wash it.
Ms. BROWN, you are a true professional!
Thank you for the kind words 😊
@@AskAngelaBrown fiberglass bottom. It worked great. On daughter’s shower.
Nice tip. Thanks!
That is great! Thanks for sharing this information and cleaning tips with us.
Very Educational Video
Thank you!
Interesting tip. I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Hydrogen peroxide removes blood stains 🩸

Make sure when using the baking tray liner on the bottom of the oven, at least when using in gas ovens, that you don't cover the heat vents on the sides of the oven. They'll wreck the heat sensor. Most of those liners can be cut to fit between the openings.
Libby, I appreciate you sharing this tip about being careful with the baking tray liner on the bottom of the oven. 👍

@@AskAngelaBrown great, thanks for the reply.

I use dawn for everything
A
I HATED doing dishes in the pre-Dawn dark ages (see what I did there?
If only they realised how many pretty commercial cleaning sprays are basically detergent & water 🤣
You are so motivating and inspiring

@@AskAngelaBrown thank you for your suggestion and quick reply!

Great tips and I thought I know it all. Thank you for shering and I subscribed to your channel
Awesome! Thank you for subscribing!!
I stand on the nonscratch scrub sponges and clean the bottom of a real dirty tub, while holding the bath rail ✨️
Is that one sponge per foot?
I like to keep a dish scrub brush in my shower. The type that has a hollow handle to fill with dish soap. I fill it with half blue soap and half white vinegar because the hard water leaves mineral deposits in this area.
Thanks so much for sharing the shower cleaning tips! 👍
Also btw I just sent my 21yo daughter the link to your channel because she is in her first apartment and has tons of cleaning questions.
Not sure. 😁
Thank you so much! Happy cleaning! 💜💜

Dawn has an antibacterial variety. Does it work as well on the grease as the blue Dawn?
I only use the blue dawn. To me it works the best. The other dawns. Are not for dishes. If you read it says hand soap. Very small print. 😉
@@AskAngelaBrown if you look closely at the other dawns it says hand soap 😉

Hahaha....I've never heard that term! Thanks for sharing, this is great!
Thank you, my home is brand new. I want to make sure I use good products on it. Thank you for quick reply.
I do that to my toilet brush too.
