    I ♥ Angela !!! My wife recently passed and so now all the cleaning is left to me. After paying $400 for a "deep clean" I realized I need to do it myself. It was expensive, not a very dirty house and they really didn't do a good job. So anyhow, I stumbled upon your channel and now I am ADDICTED !!! Today, I just bought EVERY product on your top 10 list and I am going to get to work !!!

    I am 71 years old and have been looking for a resource to make cleaning around my home easier at my age. I am so glad I found you! Your helpful advice has helped me to look forward to many years of independence in my own home. I have just subscribed this week and look forward to learning from a pro! Any tips for someone with carpel tunnel and diabetes that you can offer is appreciated. I already have a cleaning routine for general housekeeping. Lately, I have been learning how to declutter decades of memories and plan a deep cleaning of our old Victorian home on our Ohio farm this Fall.

    Denture toothbrushes from the dollar store are excellent for getting into small spaces and crevices. There are two tufts of bristles on the toothbrushes so it's like getting two for one.

      I love denture brushes too ! They’re amazing and cheap . There’s a tool store here that sells these super tough double ended detail brushes . One end is 1/8 of an inch thick and the other is 1/4 inch thick. They are life savers and only $1.49 each . Check out any discount tool outlets in your area . They have many hidden cleaning treasures 😊

    Hi Angela hope you are well. Just to say I found your video about depression and not wanting to do anything. How true that is. I've had domestic problems for about 7 years and my bed was my home. Yes I would go into a room seeing a load of clutter and thinking where do I start but then closing the door as it overwhelming. But when I might do some work it feels great.
    Really enjoy your channel Angela so thanking you.

    Thank you so much! You are awesome. I have actually bought the drill brush, the Husky caddy, and many other things that you have recommended. I have not been disappointed with any of them. I also have the Homitt electric scrubber. I make a special mix of 2 to 3 tablespoons of citric acid mixed with 32 ounces of water. Then I spray that on my bathtub at home and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then I run the Hommit scrubber across it . Everything just melts away. And it does save my shoulder. I am 44 years old and I have been cleaning professionally since I was 18 years old. There are so many body parts that cleaning wears out. 😂 . But I still enjoy doing it for a living. And watching your videos always gets me excited about something new to make my job easier. I can’t thank you enough. That husky caddy has completely saved me from losing so many items that I once lost. The fact that it has all those pockets on the outside makes it so easy to put all my cleaners in those outer pocket. Then all of my brushes and other tools go on the inside in their own pocket. As long as I remember to put things back each time, I’m always able to find them again. On an unrelated note, I just bought some of the super clean cleaning slime. That stuff is amazing for wainscoting. I have wainscoting at home that gets dust very deep in the nooks n crannies. All I have to do is mash that slime into it and pull it out. And voilà! It is so clean. Of course I plan to wipe everything down once again just for a deep clean. But the slime leaves no trace of grime behind. Even in the tough spots that my paint brush wouldn’t get out. I like to use a dry paint brush that has an angle on it usually. Anyway, sorry for writing a book. I just want to thank you for getting me excited about cleaning again. I’ve always enjoyed it. But my own house is another demon. It is so hard to D clutter and clean my own house. It’s so funny how it’s easier for me to clean houses that don’t have any clutter.

      Hi. The drill brushes are color coded for stiffness. Maybe start with the softest bristles and keep moving up until you find the brush that works best. Just be cautious of using too stiff a brush in order to protect the finish. Thank you for the question! :)

    I love this woman and the RUclips algorithm that brought her videos to me!!! I have been using the drill brush for my normal house cleaning, for about 2 years. I bought one off of a Facebook add (yes, I took a huge risk) but I am so glad I did! I think I will upgrade to the Hommit, though. I mean as good as the drill brush is, I would love not having to get up and down 4 different times to clean the tubs....it isn't as easy as it used to be!🤫😄

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  3 года назад +3

      Thank you for the kind words and for watching the channel. I'm so thrilled you're here. Having used the electric drill brush you will notice a huge downgrade in the power of the Hommit. On average, the electric drill and brushes are at about 20V and the Hommit is at about a 3.5 V. This makes it easier (less power) for someone with say a shoulder replacement who doesn't have the strength to hold a powerful electric drill, and the extension on the Hommit makes it easier to clean without bending. The key is to clean really well before the Hommit and then just it regularly to maintain the cleaning -- because the Hommit doesn't have the same "scrubbing power" that an electric drill has. Does that make sense?

      Hi Kathy, thanks for your kind words of encouragement and support. It depends on the brush and the job, but after each use washing them in hot water with dish soap is usually all your brushes need to be clean enough to use again. And we request our clients have toilet brushes at each toilet so we are not bringing in toilet brushes we've used in other people's homes, or carrying theirs across their home.

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  3 года назад +1

      On a maintenance clean you will just dust it and you can use a Swiffer Duster. On a deep clean you will use a damp microfiber cloth. For a special project you will use a leather cleaner and and a drill brush designed for leather. Here is a video I made that shows you how: ruclips.net/video/pxxKf7pUa64/видео.html

      Brushes without a motor, can be cleaned with hot water and dish soap. This includes sponges, hand held scrub brushes, OXO deep cleaning brushes, etc. They can all be added to the dishwasher and run on a hot sanitizing cycle with regular dishwashing soap.

    Is the Homitt power scrubber safe to use on painted wooden kitchen cabinets? I need an electric scrubber with a long, extendable handle to clean the deep, hard to reach areas inside my kitchen cabinets. The cabinets are painted inside and out with what seems to be glossy wall paint (not by my choice; it's a rental, and the kitchen is gross). Thank you for sharing all your great advice! Is there a particular type of drill? So that the motor doesn't just burn out.

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  Год назад +1

      Hey Adam & Megan, here is the paid linkamzn.to/3y2OdHW to the one I use. It is an electric drill not a cordless drill and I prefer this one because I don't have to worry about the motor burning out or the battery going dead. I've been using this one for 15+ years with regular use. This is the newer version of the same model - and it's lightweight enough that when using it in a shower for example that you don't get arm fatigue from using the heavier ones with the battery pack.

    Can anyone answer this question for me? If I'm starting out as a cleaner, how do you clean your vacuum between clients? How about the brush/crevice attachments. Is a bleach soak necessary? How about the brush head on the floor attachment. I'm really curious about this because of course the towels get washed but also, what about the bathroom scrub brushes?? Bleach and soak them in between clients? Or do you have cleaning kits for each client's homes and everyone gets their own vacuum attachments?

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  8 месяцев назад

      I recommend having a cleaning kit for each client's home, with separate vacuum attachments and scrub brushes. Regularly cleaning and sanitizing tools with mild disinfectants can help maintain a clean and professional environment

      @AskAngelaBrown  3 года назад +2

      CONGRATULATIONS ON TWO SHOWERS! GO JUDY!
      Yes you can use the Hommitt spin brush on cabinets! But make sure you work in small sections and keep a beach towel under the cabinets since there will be splatter from the rotation of the brushes. The key is to use as little spray as possible and stay with the section on the cabinet until the gunk is removed. Work gently and dry the cabinet as you go. Keep me posted I'm eager to hear how it goes for you.

      @@AskAngelaBrown thank you, Angela! I should have said two shower doors.
      I’m not usually so energetic. I had my swimsuit on. I also had my mixture of Dawn dish soap and vinegar already. It’s best to use that mixture right away. I did it first thing in the morning, when I had my most energy I think those were the keys
      I also used a Mr.Clean white sponge. I keep that in the shower and get the scum off between cleanings. Works well. That’s why I hadn’t cleaned my shower doors in awhile. But hubby’s shower doors really needed cleaning.
      Oh, that unsealed soap dish that was so stained awhile back? It was probably mold. It is fading. My husband is using body wash now, which causes less Soap scum. He’s also usually leaving a fan on for a half hour after he takes a shower. Mold doesn’t grow unless it has moisture.
      THANKS for your help! You’re helping me make my house I clean her place! During pandemic, I learned that I can influence my own environment by decluttering and cleaning. I am simplifying my life by taking charge of my house.

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  2 года назад +2

      No. Don't use it for your cleaning business. For your cleaning business you will want the drill brush attachments that go with an electric drill. Here is the paid link so you can see what I'm talking about amzn.to/3A5dxz6
      A drill brush will have on average 20V where the spin scrubber is more like 3.5V. If you are power cleaning - you need power tools you can plug in while working, not power tools that will get you halfway through a job and the battery goes dead.
