Good to see a fellow pro cleaner that carries as many chems and tools as I do. LOL It's amazing how much stuff we actually carry for the multiple surfaces we deal with. I've only watched 3 of your videos so far... love the attention to detail!
My Dad was a janitor and cleaned everything from dentist's offices to trucking garages. I spent my high school years (59-62) going with him on weekends as a helper. I learned how to clean from his techniques, which he found the quickest/most thorough. And yes, you can do both. Your instructions echo his in many instances, and I'm sure he would love to have some of today’s updated material, especially that Scrub Daddy.
If the trigger sprayer dies, the bottle is never kaput! I have found industrial style, heavy duty triggers that fit the tall bottles for not much money for a bunch on Amazon. They are cheaper than buying whole new bottles and they work great!
I clean houses for a living. I started carrying a screwdriver too after noticing that some people had loose toilet seats. Or so I can slightly loosen them to clean under the hinges and then tighten them back up again. Comes in handy!
This is why it's good to watch different videos of people and how they do things cuz you learn so much. And you're definitely a guy; because you have to have your power tools, along with your cleaning supplies lol. Plenty of great ideas to get started thanks.
Although I am not a big fan of long cleaning videos...I have to say 20 minutes just flew by!!! I am new to cleaning and find your videos super helpful!! Oh btw, I ordered spin brush set for cleaning bathroom and kitchen (extendable and adjustable) it will arrive tomorrow and I am hoping it will make my scrubbing process a bit easy. Thank you!
So glad you mention husky bag at Home Depot. I priced it on Amazon and it was way higher. Home depot was a little over $34 with tax and Amazon was 49.14. with tax. Thank you!
So glad to see a professional young cleaner using vinegar to clean with. I’m 29 years old and when I tell people that’s what I clean with they look at me like I’m crazy because the “smell”
I won’t lie at first I was skeptical and the smell definitely turned me off from using it. Then I started testing it and saw the cleaning power and never looked back. It’s so versatile and handy!
I loved watching the products you carry in your cleaning kit. Thanks for mentioning the differences with the Bar Keeper products. I found that helpful. Thanks for all the tips. Love your content. 👍🏼 Thanks for sharing.
I’ve found that denture brushes are even better than toothbrushes for getting into nooks & crannies. The bristles are stiffer, & one end is longer. I’ve also made washable “Swiffers” with fleece. The disposable ones get expensive very quickly. A friend introduced me to the industrial Dawn. She was cleaning some walls from decades of cigarette residue. It came off so quickly & easily! Thanks for sharing!
Hi great points, I’m trying to start a cleaning business. I’m wondering Where did you buy the denture brush,, what are Fleece and what do you attach it to and one more question what is industrial Dawn? Is it Dawn Power Wash? TIA
@@CarmenR-er9cuFleece is just a very affordable fabric. I imagine this person means they just buy fleece from a fabric store and cut it to the size needed.
Hi from CA. I’ve been a housekeeper for 17years and I now use a wagon (one of those foldable canvas types with large wheels) it’s a game changer. It holds two large plastics tubs: one for cleaners and tools, the other: my rocket vac . I strap a mop, broom, van stick, long Swiffer and a bag for rags on top with two bungees. I can load the whole thing in and out of my hatchback in one move and can haul it up steps and down long condo walkways without straining myself or needing to go back for other stuff. Love your videos. Always looking to improve my skills.
Thank you for doing this video! I just purchased the bag at Home Depot and filled it up per your suggestions. I struggle with cleaning + anxiety so this video was much appreciated! God bless
That so exciting, you will love the bag for sure! I always say cleaning is a marathon not a sprint. Do what you can each day and it will add up. You got this! 🙌
I have found many automotive cleaning/detailing products to be very useful around the house. SuperClean is a great degreaser & all purpose cleaner. You can dilute it up to 10:1 for normal cleaning. A gallon at Walmart is about $12. Very economical. I use a auto ceramic spray on mirrors, counter tops, appliances etc. Adds a slick, safe, protective barrier that makes it much easier to clean next time. Mirrors can just be wiped down with a damp microfiber and all is spotless. I even use a dry towel and that takes off many water spots. Thanks for all your helpful tips.
So I had to go purchase the Husky Bag and then bought the larger Husky on wheels for my tools . . . love them . . . thank you so much for this video. I've been cleaning for 50 years and hate Windex because it does streak . . . I tried the Sprayway . . . Not only does it work like a charm, my mirrors came sparkling clean, they look like they've been polished and I have some seriously large mirrors in my house . . . this made my job effortless . . . thank you so much for this video!!
👋🏾Hey Brandon! Thanks to you I have 60% of the items you've demonstrated in your kit. I am on the road to starting my residential cleaning company, I'm getting great information from your channel. Do you clean commerically as well? Do you have a "day in the life of" cleaning video? THANK YOU for all that you do!
A inexpensive degreaser that I love is the “Awesome Cleaner” at dollar type stores and Home Depot. I’ve used it to clean the lead crystals on a gorgeous old chandelier, soaked to removed paint encrusted hinges, of course my gas stove top, shower stalls (I guessing it works because it cuts body oils and mildew down???) and the list goes on. Don’t leave it on painted surfaces very long, it melts it!
Hey, if you are going to do an entire video about bar keepers, please talk about the pots and pans formula!! So many ppl try to clean really bad pots with the golden classic and think it's not working, but there is a formula just for it!😊
Thanks for showing the floor cleaners in particular! I've been using generic Walmart swiffer wet jet refill spray. It's cheap but I wanted more options, especially because the smell is strong For anyone who has trouble keeping up cleaning it's AWESOME to have a no rinse spray. I use a regular Swiffer with 12x12 Walmart bar mop rags. They're the double ribbed washcloth sized ones that come in a set of 18 for $9.84 i think, not the bar mop TOWELS that are bigger and a different price. We used shop towels before but they don't fit well and it's annoying. Also the cheap 11x11 Walmart washcloths don't work well either bc they shrink to be smaller than the Swiffer and the strings catch on the holes where you push the rag in Anyway if you have a spill, you just spray the floor, wipe up with the Swiffer, throw the rag in a basket, move on. It takes so much less time and the room is way cleaner for longer. No bucket, no dirty water, no dried on stains. We mop with a mop and bucket as needed (not often)
This was so good! I work for a nonprofit and just took over overseeing all the regular cleaning and maintenance of our property and vehicles, so this (and a dozen other videos I've saved in a playlist) was an invaluable resource!!
Love the Lilly? Brush to get cat fur off my furniture-it’s a must and does better than a vacuum. Love my black light for “finding” unpleasant stains, including finding scorpions in the house or outside. I use Liebman’s ? Swiffer-type microfiber mop to clean walls and taller windows
You're missing Clorox plus Tilex mold & mildew; the most effective and best smelling cleaner for showers, counters, floors, mold, calcium build up = flawless.
Great video. I’ve been loving the alcohol cleaner you showed us how to make. I use it all over the place. And of course we want to see what’s in the BUCKET OF DOOM!
Such an eye opener watching your videos! I cut down on all those unnecessary cleaning stuff I used to spend money on and inhale chemicals all the time. Thank you ❤
Glass cleaner with zero residue: For heavy dirt on glass/mirrors, use full white vinegar mixed with about 10% of the mix being isopropyl alcohol (adjust to your needs). For regular and light dirty glass/mirrors use 50/50 vinegar water with about 10% of the mix being isopropyl alcohol (adjust to your needs). You can adjust the vinegar/water/alcohol ratio accordingly. The alcohol is to turn the mix into a surfactant.
This was fun. Have you tried Zep’s Grout Cleaner? I have a hard time keeping my white grout in the shower, especially niche clean. I know I need to seal it again, but I don’t want to seal in the black spots that I can’t seem to get rid of. How do you use the ph floor cleaner? Just spray and wipe? Do you use it as spot cleaning or whole floor cleaning or both. We installed LVP floors and 1) they are not scratch resistant, and 2) stay filthy. Maybe I’m using the wrong towels or method. Do you have whole house or whole room by room cleaning videos? That would be SO fun to watch your methods. I come from a cleaning family too. When I was a kid one year, I asked for cleaning/dish gloves for my birthday 😜
Yes I love the Zep grout cleaner! The only thing is it can be a bit strong so you need to be careful with it and make sure to wear PPE. For the neutral PH floor cleaner I spray it down on the floor and use a microfiber flat mop. The key it to keep the flat mop head clean and rinsed as you go. I need todo a video on this! 🙂 I absolutely love your idea of making some full house/room cleaning videos. I did a full spring cleaning series this past spring that is a little more bit sized but still has a ton of info. Check it out here - ruclips.net/p/PLGrVLl5PDJQ3kzPryDyNZTt7rIa-kBhkz
Curious if you ever use an enzyme cleaner (such as Odoban) for smelly spots, like around the toilet? Also, how do you like to clean your tools (brushes, etc)?
Sometimes the source of the odor is under the toilet. Might have to pull the toilet up, clean and disinfect, replace wax ring and caulk around the base of the toilet (leave the back free of caulk so water can escape in case of a leak.)
Thank you Brandon for this very informative video. I’m going to gather all of these in my cleaning arsenal a little at a time. Great products! Also Interested in what you randomly carry in your van. Love your videos!

Brandon, I love your videos and always find a tip to try. I use Bar Keepers friend to tackle the ring in the toilet. Found it someplace on RUclips and its the only method I have found that works well with minimal work. I use a piece of screen door patch, cut into manageable pieces. sprinkle the BKF and scrub. I only have to do this a couple times a year. what a game changer! My trouble spot is my river rock shower floor. I think I will try a drill type scrubber. Can you suggest a cleaner? no luck with a scrub brush and I don't want to damage the stone. I plan on resealing once I get the gunk off. Thanks!
