Great information for those who are new to the hobby. Great Video. Putting links to the items you use in the video description would be great and an easy way for people to purchase what you are using. Thanks for the great insights.
I have so enjoyed watching your videos. Are you going to post the one where you relocated the Carrera dongles? Would love to see how you did it. Thank you for your videos.
Hi John, I really enjoy watching your videos, very informative, I got into Carrera at the beginning of 2020. Unfortunately for me because of covid19 it took a long time to acquire some Carrera parts and pieces to finish my track. By the time I found out about the Tire Razor it was impossible to find a new one as I found that Jon who made them has health problems. Fortunately for me I have a mini mill and lathe, I found a great review of the machine and was able to copy the design and make my own. I’m thinking of making a small run to sell on eBay. I made a few minor changes like the sanding plate I machined a slight relief on each side so I could put 2 different grades of sand paper on it and just flip it over.
Hey John, just checking in to see If you are still working on your slot car track. I hope you haven't given up on the hobby. Miss your videos! Thanks Neil
Hey John, just wanted to ask if you were doing alright. Your tutorials have been incredibly influential for me in this hobby and haven't heard from you in a while. I hope all is well. Thank you for all your teachings to date.
Hi John ,just found your channel today and subscribed , so many wonderful back posts I have to catch up on , I see you havent posted lately and hope your doing ok ? ,,,Greetings from Northern Europe ......Harry
Hi Peter, I myself am not an expert on tires... Rears are easy to find (Paul Gauge has a fitment chart based on Carrera model) but it seems all the manufactures of both wheels and tires measure their wares differently...
I came back here to check on the same thing right now. I love his content. And he was just getting into the nitty gritty of the track automation. Hope he’s doing well.
Thank you for all the videos! Random question here for the community. I have a couple of extra used power units and it seems that they are malfunctioning where the car is placed on the track and car goes full throttle. Any ideas/thoughts? I have a video of the issue but not sure if it would be appropriate to post here?

Good feedback. I should put the MIP link there, and the Amazon stuff... everything else is sourced locally (Auto parts store, etc.) Thanks!!!

Hi John, great video as always. Would love a video on how to work out what tyre sizes are on my cars, so I can replace the tyres on them.

miss your videos. i hope you are well
So I was thinking that what if you put a scalextric control unit on a Carrera tack would this work. Would be cheaper than buying chips for every car.
Good thinking... I don't know Scalextric, so unaware if the IR diodes and LC solenoids are compatible... worth investigating!!
