John, I have been trying to find track pieces that have the starting lines printed on the track for each car as they line up; can you tell me where you got yours? maybe you can tell me the spacing on your track as shown in the video here. Thanks, Ron

Hi John, kinda off topic but, you know how you can set up the cars with diff sounds when they cross the start/finish line? But they are electronic sounds, not race car sounds. Is there a way to add race car sounds? BTW , your shows are great!

Assuming you're running Smart Race, you can submit this as an improvement. I see audio issues however, as car sounds can be long to the point where the sounds will stack up or clip one another.
I am actually looking at a built-in solution to this using an Arduino myself, with 10 separate audio channels that can overlap without issue.

Hi John, have you installed any anti-collision chips on your track yet? I have on my track and notice some hesitation in the cars as they pass over the track where the chips were installed. The instructions for installing the chip state that you must remove the metal rail pin on the end of the track piece just before the location of the chip for it to function correctly. I am wondering if this is the cause of the hesitation; what are your thoughts? Ron

Welcome aboard!! As long as you can connect the track physically, it should work just fine. Not sure about the older lane changers, but the regular track should work just fine.

Actually, It's a Smart Idea and regardless if it is a temp fix for you, I like it
and if I may, might do mine that way! I also have the Scalextric guard rails
    too!
Also, I have a problem with the Carrera wire taps. I'm uncertain about the
Black & White wires as well as the Red & Yellow wires. Do the colors matter
as long as the connections are the same on the receiving track?
    Thanks John

Thank you... Colors do not matter, as long as each rail share a color.

You might have to lay it out without a computer, I know of nothing as far as track planners for Android or iOS.
Only thing I can suggest is to make sure you have at least 1/3 of straight before any sensor (CU or Pit lane). You might miss the sensor if its put directly after a curve, especially the R1 pieces that came with your set.
Welcome aboard, and best of luck!!
