The Day the World Came Together - The 350 Movement: October 24, 2009

- On 24 October, people in 181 countries came together to speak with one voice on the most urgent issue of our times: the climate crisis. Through www.350.org, people in every corner of the planet coordinated the most widespread day of environmental action in the planet's history.
At over 5200 events around the world, people gathered to call for strong action and bold leadership on the climate crisis. By the days end, it was clear: people of all kinds in just about every place on earth are calling for a fair, ambitious, and binding global climate treaty.

Once we get enough people pulling together, things WILL start to happen. Have faith. For now, spread the word about 350.org. All other climate change groups should glom onto 350 so all the oars can start pulling together. We won't be able to stop climate change, but WE CAN MAKE IT BETTER.
Congratulations to all who made this possible. Thanks to technology our voices can be heard and we have to carry on with this type of work.

This was really beautiful and inspiring. This reminds me that people do have the capacity to come together and change the world. As an organizer it can be hard to move people to do things, but the work to do so pays off. Anyone know who the music is by?

October 24th around the globe one big earth healing party 350 be its name climate be its game if you dont get the point do some study budy cause you want to know the point
isn't it a good idea to cover your bases (biochar, cleaner, safer fuels, energy and forest conservation etc) when the whole ball game is at stake?
