      AND? The Earth experienced an ice age 450 million years ago? Did you also know that the CO2 levels somewhere between 2000 and 8000 ppm? Now do you know who a Dr. James Hansen is? He works for the GISS and he said that all life on Earth should have been extinct before it even evolved. Now what is your spin on that?

Also, to those who are posting statements denying global warming......if you are going to post a "fact" or make a blanket statement, please list your source for said "facts". Or better yet, start your own youtube acct with your own videos. Allow those who care about life on Earth to do the same, without your 'Limbaugh sheep mentality' bullying.

    This isn't about forcing people to ride "bikes" or "buggies." The onus for change shouldn't lie solely on consumers backs (a well-informed public would help though). This is about industry accountability. You have a product that is unhealthy, but there are ways to make it safer, so you modify it.

    @Fallenstrike1239 The satellite data in fact show that the atmosphere emits MORE heat , not less, during periods of positive (warm) thermal perturbation, confirming that there is a feedback mechanism between CO2 and water vapor, but that it's sign is negative. This is exactly what we should expect from a stable natural system such as earth's climate. Since the biosphere is *unquestionably* saturated WRT CO2, the only place left is the stratosphere, which has been quite famously cooling of late.

    @350org Many people don’t realize that over geological time, we’re really in a CO2 famine now. Almost never has CO2 levels been as low as it has been in the Holocene (geologic epoch) - 280 (parts per million - ppm) - that’s unheard of. Most of the time [CO2 levels] have been at least 1000 (ppm) and it’s been quite higher than that.the increase of CO2 is not a cause for alarm and will be good for mankind.At least 90% of greenhouse warming is due to water vapor and clouds.....(continued)

    Over the past ten years there has been no global warming, and in fact a slight cooling. CO2 is not a pollutant and it is not a poison and we should not corrupt the English language by depriving ‘pollutant’ and ‘poison’ of their original meaning. Our exhaled breath contains about 4% CO2. That is 40,000 parts per million, or about 100 times the current atmospheric concentration. CO2 is absolutely essential for life on earth. (continued)

  • @Miemietheron
    @Miemietheron 13 лет назад

    @deth2theNWO Ok genius. True, most organisms breath CO2. Plants absorb CO2 and produces O2 (Storing the C in wood-before we burn it)
    But elevated levels of CO2 does NOT mean elevated O2 levels. Plants (And their enzymes) Work at optimum levels in which they have evolved and adapted, increasing the CO2 so drastically in such a short time will not have an large effect on O2 production, they are studying this. Most plants just mitigate it, just like they don't release more O2 under more sunlight.

  • @david222444
    @david222444 13 лет назад

    The Sun has warmed the Planet causing the Oceans and Biosphere to liberate co2 as they warmed up. Now as the Sun enters a Grand Solar minimum expect abrupt and deep Global cooling. Atmospheric Co2 enrichment would benefit all life on the Planet. In the long cold winters to come, fuel and food production in the shortened growing season will become paramount.

    • @ryanfranks1518
      @ryanfranks1518 8 лет назад

      Yes, the only thing this factors into is plant life... And plant life expected humanity to evolve and use tools that burn fossil fuels adding to the naturally occurring CO2 levels at an exponential rate... And that isn't a naturalistic fallacy. I'm not saying the added CO2 emissions are bad simply because they are not natural. There are plenty of empirical reasons why the increase of atmospheric C02 is bad, in terms of human life on earth.
      People thinking it is the end of the world now are being sensational. But it is unequivocally a problem. And one we are doing a piss poor job addressing.
