350 - this is the simple goal the whole world needs to pursue. We should all take care to both spread the word and take action NOW!
I ran out of space below. I just want to say that I want all of you coming up behind me (I just turned 60) to have the same clean and healthy environment that I was fortunate to grow up in. This is what keeps me going despite the challenges of the last eight years (you know what I'm talkin'.)

This is a great organization. We need to stand up and take action about the future of our world. President Elect Obama showed us that grassroots campaigns can get something positive done - let's make this our next grassroots campaign. Something small (done by each individual) can turn into something amazing for our country and for our world.
The first step towards reaching a goal is to have a goal. We can do it.
Most excellent! Impossible to miss the implications. We have no time to waste, and it will be harder than ever to break through the current noise and distraction, so we need everyone demanding to save the earth NOW.

I think it's good to quantify what we must achive. I have been saying since 1978 that we need to conserve, get power from windmills, use more efficient cars and take the bus. Now I'm doing all of these things and it feels great. I hope we can make the difference that we need to make.
Still the best, simplest, clearest message on what's needed.
I had the great privilege to hear Bill McKibben speak he is really inspiring. I truly believe that we can do this. It will take a lot of work but it is possible.

350 can be done. 20 yrs ago we started reducing our GHGs, and did so by 1/3, mainly thru many small measures of energy/resource efficiency/conservation, plus a Sunfrost frig. Then 6 yrs ago went on 100% wind power from Green Mountain Energy, reducing another 1/3. This has all be cost-effective, saving us hundreds of dollars per year, without lowering our living standard.
Amidst vague ambiguities and abstract approaches to climate concerns - which only lead to excuses and delays when we don't have time for either - this is exactly the concrete approach that we need. 350 won't happen without lots of sacrifice. We need to be honest about that. But, if we're honest, then we'll realize that it absolutely must happen! Great animation. To the point. Thanks 350! Spread the word.
great way to bring an important point across...an issue which we can all come together upon and ameliorate!
The easy part is watching; the hard part is changing our lives. Let's work on that--on our bikes, on trains, thinking twice about what we burn every day.
What really warms my heart most of all is to see how the environmental crisis unites the whole of humanity... That, in itself, is wonderful.
Time to get moving, change our assumptions, change our lifestyles, change our expectations, and fix our world.

Jim Hansen is now working every spare minute of his life to educate our public officials on the importance of keeping the atmospheric CO2 level as close as possible to 350 ppm.
Here in the northeast U.S. three 24/7/365 air monitoring stations have been recording atmospheric CO2 every 15 minutes around the clock for the last eight years. In this region we're up around 400 ppm on average for the last 18 months or so with spikes to as high as 450 becoming increasingly common.
This video is awesome! It's so simple, yet so powerful. Everyone around the world should watch this and share it with everyone they know; the world cannot wait any longer!

As a U.S. citizen, I hope that enough of the international pressure raised through this campaign gets through to our government and citizens who just don't give a damn to make any lifestyle changes. Corporate power over our so called elected officials has left us citizens busy, overworked and underpaid, and complacent around bigger issues that we need to be educated about and active. A campaign like this spread through informed citizens better have an impact, or else we have little hope.keep on!
Call or write your legislators and other government leaders--global warming can be stopped, but we can't waste any more time! No more excuses, no more delays. 350 is the goal--NOW is the time to start!

Beautiful. An international video for an international problem.
This has to stay a priority even with global economic crisis, or we will have no economies or civilizations whatsoever. I am a little worried about the need to go down in CO2 emissions, but we can't give up and I applaud 350 for its creative ways of reaching people. I also recommend a paper called New Rules, New Game on to persuade people about global warming. So now we have to be wary of setting bold targets and then not actually meeting them!

E.g., the small island states submerging in sea rise...African nations, whose agric is decimated by GW effects -- droughts, etc.
350 ... likely to be the most important number for at least the next million years.

This is a winner for anyone who knows what the three fifty stands for. Still, gotta get it out there any way we can: spread and explain far and wide, and remember that the first, best personal step you can take towards reducing emissions is be vegetarian or vegan.

Thanks to Bill McKibben, Jim Hansen, Rajendra Pachauri, we understand that we have past the boundary condition for a livable climate that can sustain a world that we will recognize in the future, and that we must begin reducing CO2 emissions beginning in the next few years if we are to have a chance at avoiding catastrophic climate change.

RE "REDUCE YOUR MEAT CONSUMPTION." Very true. We need to do everything we can. So I say, when driving thru the fast-food drive thru, order a veggie burger AND turn off your car while waiting; if it's more than 30 seconds before you have to move forward you save gasoline (a non-renewable resource), save money, AND save the environment.
