I cried 10 years ago and here I am now crying again. I think it’s how happy he is at the end knowing full well the cost that makes it so heartbreaking. ):
Well, I think it’s more the story of a bird who wished something so bad he was willing to die for it. In the end, he didn’t cry out of sadness, he cried of joy that his dream was fulfilled. He went out with a BANGER F for my boi
aside from all the humorous comments, this video has such a deep and dark meaning behind it. Without hesitation, we jump but a tear rolled down his cheeks meaning he has to sacrifice his life just to live the dream he always wanted.
2:05 bro him bringing out his tiny wings to mimic flying (and honestly this whole video) has been one of the most emotionally devastating moments of my life.
Bruh that's me today. Back then I never understood it and thought nothing of it because the volume was low. And now hearing the thud just broke my heart 😭🥺
i think maybe (and this is me using my "the curtains were blue" moments in lit class) its because the kiwi is a small, defenseless, flightless bird, not to mention i think endangered or at risk? a lot of artists suffer with mental disorders and out of that, many more die young, self inflicted or not kiwis in general could be connected to artists feeling trapped in a world telling them their trade is useless, theyre defenseless in that sense, and many times unable to escape people telling them that or maybe its just "kiwi cant fly funny" who knows
Let’s be real here. If a birb like him can carry pine trees to the top of a cliff, he can survive a fall from a cliff. Imagine how many times he fell off accidentally, and lived! In my personal canon universe, he lived on to become a pilot. Don’t worry, Kiwi is fine!
On another note, one species of geese are able to fall hundreds of feet down cliffs as chicks to begin their lives. Similarly if the kiwi was lucky, it would be able to survive due to its light mass and feathers, so you’re right.

2019: youtube *HOW 'BOUT A LITTLE MORE!*
Nolan Waithe AFTER A DAY ON THE WATER THE BOAT IS COMPLETELY DRY
The history of depressing bird who decided to commit suicidal acts
The irony from the animation meme community.
Well, I think it’s more the story of a bird who wished something so bad he was willing to die for it. In the end, he didn’t cry out of sadness, he cried of joy that his dream was fulfilled. He went out with a BANGER
F for my boi
Thats because him only wanted fly :''(
You mean depressed, right?

Even 9 years later it still gets to me. He was so happy 😌 😢

I think the last time I saw this I was 12 or 13, and I'm 24 now! I just remembered it somehow.
I wasn’t born yet I’m almost 9 now
aside from all the humorous comments, this video has such a deep and dark meaning behind it. Without hesitation, we jump but a tear rolled down his cheeks meaning he has to sacrifice his life just to live the dream he always wanted.
ellalovesss amen
♥️
Or he cried because of the wind
kiwifix Yeah lol
The video is so lovely
18 years later and this still makes me cry.. 😢
2:05 bro him bringing out his tiny wings to mimic flying (and honestly this whole video) has been one of the most emotionally devastating moments of my life.
He lived his dream and then died, that is so sad. *cries*
I saw this one. He is one suicidal bird.
*nods* Maybe he didn't know that would happen, but it is still sad.
+Sadness Emotion the bird obviously knew, you can tell by how it closed its eyes and cried
Maybe those were tears of Joy that he lived his dream.
it was tears of joy cause it finally got to live its dream, but it was bittersweet cause that was the last thing he would ever do
This video had been completely wiped from my memory, but unfortunately has resurfaced today after all these years.
Bruh that's me today. Back then I never understood it and thought nothing of it because the volume was low. And now hearing the thud just broke my heart 😭🥺
Same. I probably watched this last time around 15+ years ago or even more, than randomly, today.
A
Me too :(
Same
Kiwi we miss you so much but your act make us crie 😭😭😭

Sang Woo you are OG me too i watched it when i went to school on my sisters Ipod
Between this and Nugget, it's becoming clear that artistic types look at kiwis and immediately feel their hearts shatter.
ivy the kiwi? is another example of this phenomenon I think, though with a less tragic ending
Or maybe they just want to see kiwis suffer
Ecologists look at kiwis killed to endangerment by human-introduced invasive species and have their hearts shatter as well
i think maybe (and this is me using my "the curtains were blue" moments in lit class) its because the kiwi is a small, defenseless, flightless bird, not to mention i think endangered or at risk?
a lot of artists suffer with mental disorders and out of that, many more die young, self inflicted or not
kiwis in general could be connected to artists feeling trapped in a world telling them their trade is useless, theyre defenseless in that sense, and many times unable to escape people telling them that
or maybe its just "kiwi cant fly funny" who knows
Stop it I still cry watching this over a decade later.
Similarly if the kiwi was lucky, it would be able to survive due to its light mass and feathers, so you’re right.
thank you for making me feel better about this!
Thanks
You are right I was saved by a man in a small biplane after that I decided to join the New Zealand Air Force
No, he is dead.
This is really impressive for a 2006 animation. When I realized what Kiwi was trying to do, I was about to tear up.
2006?!?! 😮 the very first time I watched this film was in 2011 on my first semester of a Animation and cried… today I showed it to my boyfriend to challenged him and I cried again. This is really the most simple quality animations I’d seen and so powerful emotionally.
It already dead
I understood, he wanted to have the feeling of being able to fly like other birds at least once in his life, even if it cost him his life
@@agentesmith3 or he wanted to commit suicide
You’re telling me that kiwis can fly
RUclips please don't bring back the pain of this video to me
You know i always loved that kiwi
People: did you fly?
Bird: yeah
People:how?
Bird: for the first time and the last time😁
