Just snagged the FDE version on Friday from the store I work at. Put about 150 rounds of fmj through it over the weekend. Zero issues. My EDC is a Glock 48, but after I make sure this thing will run my carry ammo, and Vedder comes out with a LightTuck holster for it, I'll definitely be swapping it in from time to time.
On another note, I don't think it's as snappy as my 48, and that trigger is something else. Overall I really like it.

A lot of people ding Canik for being late to the party, but I think they were doing themselves a justice taking their time because they built a firearm that checks almost every box. It isn't too small, too big, too short, too long, and comes with just about everything a person needs to service and carry the firearm minus the solvents, lubricant, cleaning patches and ammo. It has a phenomenal trigger, handles impeccably, is accurate, and is not over priced. It bridges the gap of subcompact and micro which results in the concealability of a micro and shooting experience of a subcompact (recoil management). Just my opinion.

But the slide looks high and also had bigger bore axis, you show me the 43x side by side ale looks it's maybe the main rival against MC9. I heard about canik it has pretty good trigger compared to others.. not easy to choose yet. Third competitor is Hellcat Pro.

Anyone still looking, I was ALMOST about to buy a Canik Mete MC9, had my sights set on it and everything. I even own a Canik SFX Rival and love it zero issues, so why not the Mete MC9 too for an Edc? Well I found 1 video talking about how the Mete MC9 around 300-500 rounds goes out of battery. Upon further investigation on Reddit and other RUclips videos searching this problem, it seems to be a common problem. This along with the fact there are currently no aftermarket stainless steel guide rods available for the Canik mete MC9 had me cautious and instead leaning towards another micro compact, even a Springfield, even if snappy due to simply being more reliable. Time will tell but thought someone should know if they are considering the mete MC9. I'd hate to have to always wonder when the gun was going to go out of battery and replace the guide rod every 300-500 rounds, not something I'd bet my life on! I see a lot of people saying instead of the mete MC9, go for the slightly bigger brother Canik TP9 Elite SC as that is pretty much everything improved (even though no longer micro compact) of the mete MC9.
It's a shame, because I feel the mete MC9 trigger is great and it shoots well, and isn't as snappy as other micro compacts, but, the mag release doesn't always work well in my opinion, the grip is too bendy for me and not solid. You can squeeze the grip on the sides of the MC9 which makes the mag harder to drop out after, personally I don't like anything flimsy on my firearms.

I find both the Masada Slim and the MC2SC are snappier than the MC9. The trigger on the Masada Slim is OK except it has a heavier pull wt at the break. The MC2SC trigger is not as crisp at the break and has a longer reset. The MC9 has a longer takeup like all the other Caniks I own or have shot, but the break and reset are the best I have ever shot. Downside of the MC9 is the failures to feed that I have experienced, mostly fixed with a stiffer recoil spring. Right now I sometimes get ftf with flat nosed ammo (hollow points). Not always but sometimes they seem to catch on the flat part of the barrel feed ramp.

I often travel to Pakistan and I'm getting a Ruger LCP for carry + Canik MC9 for the car. MC9 just a bit large to carry in pockets and LCP not powerful enough if things go down. Ideally my Benelli M2 should have been small enough to EDC 😂
