- A silver Audi raced at high speeds along the 60 and 605 Freeways before pulling into a Downey parking structure where one of two men inside was taken into custody
he's driving fast because he's an LA car thief and knows he's got air surveillance and has to separate from ground units to a covered parking to abandon rig and blend in

I think the maximum for a police pursuit used to be like a year in prison. People started doing it a lot more than often, so then they went up to 6 years

See if it has a dipstick before you buy one. We rented one once in CA. The oil light came on after two days. NO DIPSTICK...you have to go into the dash computer to see the oil level. I bought a quart of oil and dumped it in. Crazy stuff in new cars.
I used to own a 2018 Q7. Sadly, lost it in an accident a couple of months ago. Amazing cars.
The planet can't handle much more of this overconsumption from you try hards.

Don't know who the dork is at KCAL calling this pursuit, but the male announcer is about as bad as they get. He doesn't know the freeway the stolen vehicle was travelling on. He calls the structure the stolen vehicle parked under as a "high rise".
A residential high rise, when the parking spaces are marked with business names.

The camera operators for this channel consistently misses the actual suspect. They change views and I always see the suspect moving in the opposite direction!!!!

I'm a vehicle tech of all makes, years & models & every time that some of my relatives & loved 1s want my sincere advice in what new or pre owned vehicle to purchase I always direct them to a Toyota & won't even now recommend to them an American built vehicle but especially... especially ... any Audi, VW, Mercedes, BMW etc... have fun with the new Audi & enjoy it if you decide to purchase a new 1 as they are beautiful looking & performing vehicles at least before they start easily falling apart.

How come you often see them with 200.000+ km and how come they are still rather quite expensive on the "used car market"?
I dont agree on the "easy falling apart part", they are just way more complicated to fix, that is true, because of the german "over-engineering"
But yea the "German engineering reputation" got surely worse in the past decades.
@derek4177 I agree that I too see some 200000+ km German vehicles out there , my complaint is that by then the costs of maintaining & repairing it continue to increase drastically such as the expensive but delicate electronic overengineering that you mentioned, then there is the mechanical vehicle components that are often sourced from other countries that quality control is often sacrificed in order to make higher profit for the maker. After the warranty period ends, each minor repair with parts & labor is often in the thousands & growing with lots of important vehicle parts beginning to quickly fall apart due to so many quantities of cheaper plastic being used in them, almost all new vehicles have now pretty much become throwaway vehicles as soon as after 5+ yrs...
Years and years ago (and a few more years and years ago), Horses were the Primary means of Transportation. So important that if a person was stuck in the middle of a desert (someone may have stolen his Horse) the person could die in the desert. So "Stealing Horses" was a very serios crime, and they might hang a person for stealing a Horse. Nowdays, cars are a major form of transportation, and Criminals might just get little more than "A Slap on the Wrist" as Punishment. Law Enforcement in the "Wild, Wild, West Days" (think Robert Conrad) sure knew just how to stop "Repeat Ofenders"!

Let me help everyone...just because law enforcement is not behind them doesnt mean the suspects stop driving recklessly. The VAST majority of the time the continue to drive crazy. they were not chasing them, they had them followed by a helicopter. These guys endangered everyone all by themselves. Proves that a chase is mandatory, if they are going to run for miles even if not followed might as well follow them, try and stop them and catch them with the car and whatever contraband they were carrying.
