The reason why Nickelodeon rejected Mina and the Count as a series was because Nick didn't really feel comfortable about a vampire hanging out with a little girl.

In fact Hamill is the star as the sinister, put-upon but sweet vampire who befriends a mortal girl, and the music is both cartoonishly Gothic and humorous. My favourite moments are 1:57-2:14, 4:10-4:28, 6:12-6:23 and 6:30-6:45. It's a shame this feature didn't get enough respect, but at least it had 5 episodes and holds a strong fanbase.

I looked for this cartoon because I recently learned they made more cartoons of Mina and the Count for nickelodeon. watching this again, I remember for some strange reason, I thought it was funny when the Count said "and I'll hide." at 4:23.
Except for the part where he smacks that poor cat, this is a cute/fun cartoon and I'm glad they made a few more shorts with Mina and the Count that you can find right here on youtube.
