I got a story from my late dad about the church in front of the kopitiam. When he was a young boy maybe a bit bigger than Isaac, n very naughty as he claimed to be then, he tried to run across the road w/o noticing an oncoming lorry. Just as the lorry was about to crash into him, he felt a force pulling him backwards, and only his foot was run over by the lorry's tyre! Later my father always used to say that his life was saved by Mother Mary becoz the incident happened right in front of the church where the statue of Mother Mary stands! So now each time I drive by the church I always remember my father's story n look towards the statue with fondness and with gratitude😊🙏❤
What a beautiful story... I will share this with my family. My family has been going to this church for many years, my dad also used to stay at Mt. Erskine area when he was a boy. He always told us ghost stories! But of course later he told us it was just to scare us hahahaha
My whole family loves the seaweed popiah! Of course the original crispy popiah tastes delicious as well which we can hardly find in Penang. They have another stall opened at Bobo cafe in Lip Sin too! Must try!
New subscriber from the UK here. Absolutely love your videos - Thank you for sharing not only great makan recommendations but also your interaction with your beautiful and adorable family. Have earmarked SO many places for when I am back in Penang next year!
Thank you so much for watching and subscribing! How long has it been since your last visit? Hopefully I will have many more recommendations before you come back so you can spend more time here for your holiday! :)
@@pishedbloke It's been a year since my last visit - Already too long! At the rate you publish videos, I'll be having to stay for at least a month to cover all the places recommended! 😄
Apart from the fantastic makan recommendations, I want to say your kids are adorable. Eldest is blossoming into a young lady. Second is your favourite and the son is mama’s boy. 😂
It is refreshing to see such a nice and good relationship with your children. The “hick up” scene at the opening of the video is hilarious. You have such a wonderful laugh… You even caught your daughter by surprise. Poor Isaac had to wait for his turn to be fed… Thank you for sharing those day to day events. Have a great day and stay safe.
Great food. Will definitely check out the kopitiam when I visit Penang in October. Also agree with the comments that your kids are adorable. My wife and I love watching them. They act so natural when on camera.
