      I try my best to make sure I’m clear and informative about my diag so anyone can use it to their advantage.

    Thank for the lesson, I also have the same horn problem, but mine keeps blowing I had to take the 20 amp fuse out, my truck is a 2020 f250 super duty platinum.

      If you have a scan tool you can look at the data to see if it’s being commanded but if not unplug the clock spring at the bottom connector and put the fuse back in to see if your issue is between the horn pad and clock spring . But you can almost always bet on the clock spring or horn pad.

    A really nice video, thanks a lot. Im currently diagnosing my 2019 F-250 and found this really helpful. One question, did other functions of the steering wheel, such as cruise etc. work normally?

    • @AD-T
      @AD-T  Год назад +1

      Yes other functions were still working normally . It all depends how many wires are cut internally in the clock spring . It’s honestly random the kind of failures you get from vehicle to vehicle.

    On my 2015 F150 HORN does not work when you press the pad on steering wheel. BUT it does with the panic button on key. I replaced with oem clock spring and still does not work. Please help with suggestion. Also with ignition off do we use power probe connected to power and test.

    I'm back diagnosing my own truck, and got an idea. Could I just take ground for the horn from the steering wheel metal frame with a jump cable? Don't really want to throw 200 bucks for a clock spring in this economy

      I don’t see why not just put a push button somewhere and put ground on one side and the signal wiring going to the bcm for the horn on the other. You can do all your connections under the steering column

      Yes but the point of the video was to help others understand how to diagnose a simple circuit
