Which one should I buy for my cafe, Faustino or Fausto?
Great video. I am however having an issue with the grinder not grinding when I am trying to set it to a smaller grind size. It simply won't start. I have also read that the beans get stuck often and needs to be tapped to loosen things up. Any advice on getting the grinder to work to grind smaller size grinds?
I got a Faustino grinder about 3 years ago. 2 years in the relay that turns on the motor died. You could hear the click from the relay, but the motor would not turn on. The relay is soldered into the main circuit board that you can access by taking the bottom plate off of the machine. The solder had a very high melting temperature and I had to put more heat into the board than I would have liked. I accidentally killed the surface mount transistor that controls 12V DC power to the coil of the relay and had to replace it as well. I cut open the old relay and found that the contacts were black and burned to the point it would no longer complete the circuit. I was unable to find replacement parts from Rocket, I had to look at the components on the circuit board and figure it out.
Apart from those issues, this is a very nice grinder. Just look at the casting when Gale had the top off. It's super thick and heavy cast steel that's been machined and polished to a high shine. Beautiful surface finish. Nice big and heavy-duty motor as well. There is no slop in the adjustment knob and it holds its setting very well. You can adjust your grind with extreme precision. It is very quiet and vibration free. It's actually so vibration-free that you have to tap the hopper sometimes to get the beans to fall down into the grinder. The touch screen can be annoying if your hands are wet, but it's nice to have the timer control.

Transistor ($8 for a 100 pack from Amazon) - Bridgold 100pcs BC847B BC847 847 NPN General Purpose Surface Mount transistors 0.1A 45V，SOT-23
Bottom Plate Screws ($1.34 for a 75 pack on Amazon) - Prime-Line 9018940 Sheet Metal Screw, Self-Tapping, Pan Head Phillips, #4 X 1/2 in, Zinc Plated Steel, Pack of 75

hi gale, love your channel, just bought ECM SYNCHRONICA and I’m wondering if its a good machine for home use, I mainly drink latte and I have not opened the box and with that I bought Rocket Espresso Faustino, my wife likes super automatic, so I’m not sure if I crack the box or if I exchange for a Jura, what are your recommendations
I wonder if it clumps and jams at the finer settings like the temperamental Eureka Mignon
i really like it, using it and the way it looks. But a simple F and C with an arrow to remind which way to turn for fine and coarse would be handy. Morning fuzzy head im often forgetting which way i need to turn for a micro adjusment to my dose.
Absolutely gorgeous looking grinder. I have an Appartamento and recently upgraded my grinder - this would have absolutely paired perfectly. However after playing with a Fausto (it’s bigger cousin) and a Baratza Sette 270wi, I was completely blown away by the weight based grinding and zero clump fluffy grinds in the Sette and went with that. I would have been very tempted by the size and styling of the Faustino, but ultimately I think the output of the Sette is superior.

I ordered this and will be receiving it Wednesday (Mar 3 2021). Loved the video, but I'm confused about the settings. I will only use this for espresso. Do I have to change the settings? Is it set by the factory for espresso? I wish this point would have been gone over in more detail. Are there just "lines" to show going coarser/finer? Thanks
you need to check your manual but with stepless grinder is a bit more difficult as it is not shown where the grind ranges are that is why she said to stick to espresso setting
Please review 600N coffee grinder , price is around 60-80 dollar and so many people say it is does better job than 200 dollar machines.

Basically a repackaged Specialita right? Eureka makes these for Rocket?
+ much more expensive! There are much better grinders for this amount of money.
Was thinking it looks exactly the same inside as my Eureka Silenzio which has the 50mm burrs, same as the Faustino. The Specialita rocks out with 55mm burrs.
I was wondering. Even the functionality of the screen is identical, if a different layout.
Similar screen controls and look ("coffee funnel" cone") as my Mazzer Mini Electronic Type A doserless (that I got back in 2015). Probably a bit quieter than mine though.
As for burr replacement, my Mazzer Mini owner's info says "660lbs of coffee" before replacing them. If I go though a full pound of coffee a month (guessing) then that's 660 months -- 55 years! So 55 years from 2015 is 2070 when the original burrs need replacing. Incredible! I recently bought a new set of burrs (from Seattle Coffee Gear of course!) anyway, just to have on hand -- just in case.
My Mazzer may make it to 2070...but I sure won't. :-(

I have an Appartamento Copper, but another $100 for the insert seems a little steep. Is this worth the upgrade from a Ceado E5P to have matching Rocket machines? Maybe I can run the E5P as a Pour over/Iced grinder. Very tempting
Ryan Kelly E5P is a 64mm burr vs 50, and 300 watts motor vs 210 watts.
@@mikeangelo2261 it's weird to compare the two because the E5P is cheaper, and bigger than the Faustino. But the Faustino looks nicer and has some key programmable features.
Ryan Kelly that’s is correct, fancy and updated features but low specs. I was debating between the big brother Fausto but settled with the Eureka Atom 75 chrome. With a 800 watts motor I’m very happy.

Between this and Eureka Atom 60 for around the same money. I wonder if the latter is a better value.
It probably is bc the Eureka got larger burr size. As Rockets grinders are made by Eureka it‘s natural that they are a but more expensive.

It is. It's a reskinned Eureka Mignon Perfetto/Specialita.
@@AlexMogilev re-skinned Silenzio. Perfetto has a knob that turns from fine to coarse in a single rotation. The Specialita has 55mm burrs.
@@loltanios But Silenzio doesn't have a screen and touch control. So it's basically a remix. Anyway, it should be nice.
