I'm actually flattered that you think my latte art looks like those 'disasters' in the beginning
Bruh Fr. I can barely get mine to form anything. I think I primarily need a pitcher cause I’m using my French press and looking at the way it flows, it doesn’t flow out the same as a pitcher would.
@@diiii_mond You do need a pitcher. I too did latte art with my french press in the beginning, but the tool is not designed to pour latte art unfortunately.
the last tip is really nice.
Yeah, I was like :O
wqcxb562 that’s what she said.
Yes it is so much better than using the dishwashing soap. 👍
I saw a barista doing almost the same thing(forgot his name) the different was he put coffee powder on the cup(no liquid just powder) in the first try so it wont discoloured the milk so much so you can try and try again using the same milk to practice. That is actually a very good tip indeed. Love it.
Thats what she said!! (in a gang bang)
“...Your here because your latte art looks more like this:”
Proceeds to create latte art still better then my white blob in the middle of the cup.
Self-Esteem level -1
I think its because of many hours training and now it is hard to mess it up.
Sorry, in hindsight some of the mistakes we showed could have been worse.
Haha I thought the same - but I guess once you can do it properly it’s hard to do it wrong !
I had the same experience as well - but we will get this - right??!
omg im littarally the snme lol
Oh, man! I would be sooooo pleased if i can do latte failed art like you did in the beginning.
Sorry...maybe next time I need to get some bad latte art volunteers 😂
Same . . .
@@SevenMilesCoffeeRoasters yea please do. There might be a lot of ppl willing to volunteer 😂
😂😂😂
Hahaha same 😸
The tip for practicing with minimal waste is brilliant!!! Makes me feel brave enough to try latte art again. Thank you!!!
Exactly
I bet it tastes amazing after all that chocolate lol like a mocha
Also using tiny drop of hand wash and water would give u very similar milk texture if u want to practice texturing
"coffee can smell your fear" I like that!
fear can smell your coffee
Some of the fails at the start of the video made me think of those infomercial people who do something outrageously wrong but yet relate to
It seems like he struggled for to do it wrong. It's very difficult to him to do it wrong :-D
lizielita he should have given me this part of the job, I'm a master at this.😁😁😁😁
I would happily do these mistakes for him
Damnn

fr, he probably was like "why can't I fail?"
As a beginning barista, you just saved me! The speed and thickness was exactly what I couldn't figure out. I work at a high quality café so I feel a lot of pressure lol
Good for you.. you still got a job at that high quality cafe while still struggling lol . Keep going 😌
@@pappoochacha no need to be rude lol
@@katirenakline lol no no I wasn't being rude . I can't show my tone in comments here :)
We all do that on our CVs don't we..
I personally can't even get the steaming right lol
@@pappoochacha oh ok! my bad. lol we do! also same. steaming almond milk honestly drives me insane the most bc it doesn’t ever want to properly foam 😭
@@katirenakline almond milk? man i cant even get full fat milk lol. maybe these tetra packs of milk aren't pure milk afterall.. or maybe my cheap ass machine cant do it properly.
love the bonus tip, i don't know how many nights of sleep I had to lose just for the sake of practicing latte art...
Brilliant! Simply explained - thank you! As a 73 year old grandma you have taught me something I've wanted to do for ages with my fancy coffee machine and milk frother. Can't wait to have a go!
I love the Bonus Tip! I was wondering how to keep practicing without having to kill my family members by forcing them drink coffee cups after cups 🤣🤣🤣 you saved their lives. Thanks!
Quick tip: if u have food coloring, add water to your cup and a dash of coloring, and for the milk just add water to your pitcher and a drop of liquid soap and it simulates the milk :) and no more wasting coffee or milk
Oh they hate me at this point. I've raised their blood pressure so high....
@@AbdulHaseeb-ze7pu 🤣🤣 oh good lord I hope they are still alive 🤣 counter it with Rosehip and Hibiscus tea then, great for lowering blood pressure hahaha
I've always wanted to know how to properly practice this. Have been failing miserably and forcing myself and my family to drink a lot of lattes. I'm going to start using this method first thing tomorrow!
@@rodrigoom5311 we should have our own guild of latte art practitioners who forces their family members to drink lattes for the sake of our practice 🤣 But I'm happy to say I can do a fat triple tulips now! But sometimes it works out sometimes it doesn't, the point is to keep at ita you'll be happy when you see all the practice is paying off! 😁
Thanks a lot for the bonus tip! I've been trying to pratice this but the enormous amount of lattes to drink and the excessive milk consumption have been getting in the way. Nice to know there is a simple method to practice this!
The last tip is very good idea! I didn' t want to waste so much milk for practicing, but now I can practice latte art more often. Thank you for this video!!
Yes!! I needed this video. The bonus tip at the end was a huge revelation! Thank you
"your latte art looks more like this" ... yeah, right. My latte art looks nowhere near that good.
That was great! I really appreciate the bonus tip as that is what will really get me the practice I need. Cheers
This popped into my feed after i poured my upteenth cup where my art was chunky, especially the last line. I realized i was doing the final pour too close to the cup.
Also I think I'm pouring too slow and starting the art too late. Amazing advice! I also need to get me some cocoa and a shaker to do some practice! So cool!
Thank-you for this. All of the tips were great but that last one?! Gold medal winner!
I love the last tip of re-using the coffee and milk! Love your teaching, very helpful thank you!
thank you for the tips! Mistake #4 for me is so hard to adjust, I always pour so slow fearing it’ll overflow
Really helpful tips. Clear and simple. Thank you so much 😊
Such an amazing video. My problem was mainly pouring too fast and pulling away too much/fast. Love the tips will try again.
Big THANK YOU for that Bonus tip!
This is amazing, so helpful and brings such clarity! I find it's really difficult to do latte art in take away cups..
this is the BEST EVER Caffe Latte video tutorial! Great didactics!
Great video Paul 👍.I'm new to the barista career I mastered the texture in first week and speed latte art is why I'm here.
Thanks for showing the practice bonus towards the end. I have watched dozens of videos and you are the only person showing how to practice latte properly. That was very thoughtful and amazing..
Glad it was helpful!
I felt attacked in the beginning😂😂😂 absolutely loved the video! Thank you:)
Best tips I've ever seen, even after being trained in a coffee house.
Appreciate your patience to express in detail.
I loved your tipp at the end, thanks a lot!
When you want to make a mistake but can't because you are good in making a coffee. :D
This s amazing for the bonus tip

My first latte art was heart and after Rosetta
I'm realy happy with your perfect explication..So good and kindly from you sir
😘
The excitement I felt when you gave the bonus tip for practising!! Oh my word!!! Trying it out TODAY! :D
Really nicely presented video! I would have loved to hear a little bit more about step 2 really - how you start pushing that art on the surface, my milk quite often sinks or doesn't form a discernible shape even when i pour from a low height.
Also if anyone else is reading this and don't always have chocolate - cinnamon powder makes for a good handy substitute to practice.
Great tutorial!
I've just started for a month now with my new breville express. With a bit of experience I can fully comprehend every single tip you have listed. Unfortunately didn't come across your video early enough.
I like your bonus tip. If I had known earlier I wouldn't need to drink so much coffee and chocolate milk.
Thank you again.
Thanks, glad we could help
Loved the bonus tip at the end!!
That bonus tip is amazing!
Bro! I work at a coffee shop, and this is the best bonus tip I've been given to continue to practice my latte art without wasting a lot. Thank you so much!
wow, this is very very helpful!
Love this! Didn't even think about the impact of pouring speed
Legend! Glad I stuck around for the bonus tip
That one where you just scooped out the foam and threw the equipment 😂
Great video! I either get milk that just sinks below or a thick blob that doesn’t flow backwards at all - just sits there. So I’m thinking after watching this that I’m struggling with consistent texture and also maybe speed. Trying to change multiple variables at once is hard though to figure out which one is the main problem.
I love love love your tip at the end!!!!! Thank you 🙏🏻
Great post!! Love to see more about Latte art and connect with people who love to practice!! ❤️👌
The bonus was even better than the whole tips, helps with practicing a lot
I agree, I don't make coffee that I (or others) don't drink so it gets a bit frustrating not being able to practice as much.
Great tips, thanks for the video.
I have also heard that a way to practice is to use water with one drop of washing up liquid. It steams up a bit like milk and you can practice over and over. I've tried it myself and it's not a bad way to practice if it's the art and not the frothing that you need work on.
Thanks for the bonus tip mate! That's gonna be a big help :)
Great tips! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us 🙏🏽✨💕
Thanks for the bonus tip! Now In can finally practice more than once a day. 🙂
I have mobility issues so pouring with just a single hand is so difficult but this video helped me gain confidence to practice more
You’ve got this 😊🙌🏻
Hey thanks Paul, you've just explained how to froth milk correctly, so simply and it all makes perfect sense "why couldn't I see that"!!! I've been making espresso flat whites & cappuccinos (at home) now for about 5 years and have always wondered
how they do it so much tastier in the cafe with exactly the same coffee beans.
But it does take practice, thanks for the tips on how to blend the coffee and how to prepare the milk for latte art.
Thanks. This is the most helpful video on this yet. I like the final tip on saving milk!
I've been trying for 11th times. And i'll be trying for 12 even more 😂 Fighting💪
Great value in the video. Texture is the first thing to focus on. You can practice steaming with a jug of water and a droplet of dish soap.
Anyway keep on making those coffee videos!
Thanks Simon. Yes, agree. The water + dish soap trick is good option for practice 👌
i like that bonus tip, thank you!
the first and the last hints are great, thanks 👍👍
Biggest mistake : Everything
My biggest problem with latte art is my milk isn't thick enough. And the next time it's to thick .
This brotha got some thick milk problems
@@MrBahBZ big tits?
You can get a milk pitcher that has temperature readings on the side, which is especially useful when training new baristas. What I learned was to take the milk wand out as soon as the pitcher is too hot to put your palm against. And make sure to tap the bottom of the pitcher on a flat surface to get rid of air bubbles
I don't have a espresso machine, soooo...
@@KC-cr9ew what part of the pitcher, though? The bottom is much hotter than the sides.
The last tip is the one that will make the most difference! Thanks!
Great video thank you!! I realized what I've been doing wrong most of the time (pulling through too fast)
0:27 exactly my latte.
Me at :30-31 seconds . . .
First I went like :
"Nope. My kind of fail doesn't figure in this list" because my milk doesn't even lay on the crema
Then I saw 3 types of my fails and I was like soooo happyyy like "ohhh yesssssss" 😂😂😂
Great video, love the bonus tip 😊
Great tip at the end!
My mistake is milk texturing! Always too thin or too thick :( I can't even perfect the art cause I haven't been able to practice making ANYTHING cause the texture is way off every time! lol
I have that issue all the time 😭😭
It takes a lot of practice to get it perfect, that's for certain
I feel attacked!
Hahhaha
Thank you for teaching me how to have less mistakes. :)
This is one of the best playlists I've ever heard.💕💖
Awesome videos, the content is really well produced and thought out. All the best with the channel!
That last tip is a true game changer I believe. As a home barista drinking one cup a day (mainly because the oat milk is 3$), practice is only once a day otherwise 😂
Happy to help :)
The last tip is so good! When I’m pour my heart is too small . Sometime just like a circle :(((
I had the same problem and I realized that the cup shape was a big part of it. Try it with whole milk in a cup with a round bottom!
Dom i’ll try it tomorrow and thank you the advice.
Thanks so much! This is the video I have been looking for!
Thanks for the awesome final tips!!!
0:32 that is the way my manager makes the latte art for customers. Actually, she hates getting smooth foam for the latte. Then she told me to do the same way. I gotta say: wow... it is not called Latte art Lol....
2006 cappucino :))
although it doesn't have anything to do with latte art it is one way to make a cappuccino and if you will even the "original" way. silky microfoam and thus latte art only ever developed in the late 20s century.
does she splash the whole thing into the customer's face when serving it? Might as well at that point..
@@s0bad she does. She says that she loves making big bubbles for the foam instead of getting smooth foam. She believes that by that way, you will not “waste” milk for customers lol....
@@hoangvo8296 Waste ?? :/
These actually had useful tips. Am I still on youtube?
Really useful tips. But tha last bonus one is savior. Thankyou so much.
My mind was blown.
Thanks a lot for this video!
Me! I've been trying for the last 2 years and only get close (sigh).
Hi! To be honest: This is not my cup of tea :-) I think I've made all of these mistakes. I will never, never give up trying though. Thanks a lot.
You’re right. It isn’t your cup of tea; it’s coffee.
Bah dum TSS 😅
the bonus tip is GENIUS
That's a great bonus tip!! Tysm
That last tip is going to help me decrease the amount of using coffe and milk😂
Im sure my steamed milk is too thin, how do i get it right without too much foam? Second question, i cant tell when its time to start the latte art?
Practice makes perfect! Try aerating your milk within the first few seconds, while working on creating a silky spin in your jug. We'd say the half way point is a good time to start your latte art. Hope this helps!
This is a quality lesson❤️ Thank you.
💯👏🏽👏🏽The how to practice without breaking the budget is my favorite tip. because if there wasn’t a way to not waste i’d be hesitant to learn.
Latte art: _First 🌎 Problems_
☕️
Latte art originated in Italy...they're not exactly the most industrialized or first world nation...
@@j.s.3414 You have no idea what the term means.
My biggest mistake was milking a cow directly into the espresso. The milk went everywhere but the cup. It was an udder disaster!
HaHaHa - I can not wait to share that one!
Great tip with the chocolate at the end! I’ll certainly be trying this and practicing more during quiet spells now 👏 👏 🙏
Thank you so much for the bonus... very useful
You here bcs your latte art is looks like this XDDDDDDDD
Really like the bonus tip, thanks a lot
Wonderful introduction & hope to see more.
I'm loving this channel already
Good tutorial! Thanks for sharing!
Love that bonus tip, high fives to you sir!!!!
Best latte art video I've seen so far, and I've seen quite a lot.
I really love the last tip of practice
