@@SevenMilesCoffeeRoasters Question! Should you warm the milk before steaming it? I have been trying to get the milk warm enough to not leave the coffee luke warm and not hot enough at the end. However, this means I have to steam it too long and the texture gets a bit too thick for proper latte art. Do baristas have a constant supply of pre-warmed milk on hand or do they just use the milk straight from the fridge?

Omg after 1000 tutorials and attempts of trying doing the right foam I finally managed it after the first try with this video. I really can't believe it. One tip if your milk gets hot too fast: hold your cup and Steamer like shown in the video and then start by touching the milks surface with only the tip of your Steamer while it's already on. Do that while the milk gets hotter and only in the end put in the tip a little more to get that soft, shiny foam. The texture you get with this technique is insane!

This is magic! It took me four weeks of daily practice with my first ever coffee machine, tons of videos about frothing watched. That all got me nowhere and left me so disappointed. I had almost no foam in my milk, it would only get hot from my steamer. All until I came across this tutorial! Every single milk I froth ever since is perfect! Who would've thought that the key to success is the SOUND of the milk. That hissing sound! Not the airplane one (that I definitely had at the start of my practice with the steamer 😅).
Thank you so very much for this tutorial! 💛

Thanks for this video! Lots of great hints and tips in 5 minutes. I like the use of clear quality gates to move onto the next step (i.e. ~ 20% foamed, sound of the milk). Clear technique to follow and to try and perfect. Most other videos are just someone blabbering on about their coffee skills and where they've worked :)

  • @JoshPhoenix11

These things have a big influence.
Boiler pressure- 1, 2, 3 or 4 hole steam tips- the size of steam tip holes in relation to how many there are - the spacing pattern of holes and the angle they're on.
Jug spouts that have a deep channel coming to a large oversized spout, with a pronounced tip.
And steam that isn't too wet.
