I’m Asian and for my eye shape I stopped doing these big wings but instead I use brown eyeshadow or gel to smoke/smudge it out then sharpen it by swiping the end of the liner with my finger nail.
I am 45 and I have been doing the same for the last 10 years!! When I was younger I loved big wings and liquid liners but now I find brown eye shadow lining so much better ❤
So in order for you to do eyeliner, you do soft Smokey eyes with some definition? I love super sharp black wings but just use the thinnest edge possible on the eyeliner felt too pen, put lashes on and I’m done! It’s a two step process much easier and it’s the look I’m going for.
Same! My eyes are hooded one eye is more hooded then the other and one eye sits higher than the other. I gave up wing liner a long time ago it just doesn't work for me.
I had the same problem with eyeliner, infact I stopped wearing it and now I recreate the effect by using eyeshadow and blending it. Personally I feel that eyeliner is not for hooded eyes :(
@@bueno07 I'm sure that looks great! I used to always wear winged liner but stopped because of my hooded eyes. I was taking way too long to apply it. Now I occasionally wear winged liner but don't worry about it being perfect. Most of the time I wear eyeshadow without winged liner 😊
another trick is to just draw the wing higher, with the bottom edge slightly above the projection of the lower lashline. It makes it look normal and draws the face up more.
I’m honestly surprised that there aren’t replies saying that she doesn’t have hooded eyes, because people with more hooded eyes just love to pretend that people with less hooded eyes (that are still hooded) don’t exist 😂
@@KimMartin1969 they are very much hooded. The point of my comment was that i was surprised that there was nobody being an asshole. You broke that streak. You are an asshole.
I am 49 and i now hace hooded eyes. I thought i could no longer wear a wing which was so depressing. Thank uou for showing us hooded eye people how to get the perfect wing. You are a life saver ❤️
I have this too. What I usually do is only draw like a corner with black eyeshadow to connect the fold just at the outer corner of my eyelid. It gives some more definition while not having to do much. What also helps is to get like a brown kohl/eyeshadow and fade it out. It looks more natural so mistakes don't matter as much and you get to practice. Also, with hooded eyes its easier to line just on the upper waterline with a black eyeshadow. You do this with a flat brush and stamp it on. Really easy technique but gives some more oomph, without taking away the small space you have.
I have hooded eyes and I'm in my teens and i thought that it ment old aging so i got insecure about them, but then i learned that some people just have them naturally and now do downward puppy eyeliner and it really helps.
I just this week found an incredible eyeliner wing tool - it was attached to my eyeliner tube, didnt get it at first but now! Its works so well. Its called Loreal Flash Cat liner and it includes a little triangle tool to draw the wing inside it. brilliant.
Thanks for the tip! I have extremely hooded eyes, so I had to exaggerate a bit more (making the liner a little bit higher), but the same concept works: connect the two pieces at the end to create the bat wing. I’m getting there, but I’m going to keep practicing so I won’t be nervous to do eyeliners anymore! 🤗👍

When I use it the products usually don't last long :( they smudge so quickly
@@cutlipsbyweatherday😢same for me

Ok but what about those of us with UNEVEN hooded eyes. My folds/creases on both eyes end at different spots on my outer edge 😩
Sorry to hear babe 😢 I would alter my liner when doing each eye, practice will make perfect ♥️
I have uneven hooded eyes too 😢 mine is because of a small scar on my eyelid

Great tip babe 🙌🙌🙌
Finally someone who actually has hooded eyes doing a tutorial!!!

@@The-one-and-only-Fruitcakelooking for this comment! I don't think these are very hooded - not compared to mine.

I used to hate my hooded eyes, but now I find it cute
I just love your tips and you are a joy to watch!
Oh I love that babe! I’m glad you enjoy ♥️

Now I know why the winged look always messes up on me ha ha!
Thanks for explaining, you’re the best!😊

Cool and thanks! I want to try the kaka stamp liner with this trick, i would like to see you do it.😚
Going to try this
Awesome!!!
♥️♥️♥️
Omg her eyebrows ❤
I think it’s better to use dark eyeshadow with a small sharp brush to create a wing like shadow at the outer corners to lift the eyes
I remember someone did my eyeliner for a play, and I HATED it, I still do when I look back at images.
Thank you!!!!!
It's easier to use eyeshadow and mark it off with tape and when you pull it away you have a slayed sharp wing 🖤
Most people with hooded eyes have oily eyelids so eyeshadow often smears or melts off quickly
@@emma_luce_0623 If that's the case you can use eyeshadow primer or put powder on your eyelid
I had to find out about this after many tries of "this doesnt look right" hahaha so yes confirmed great
Thank you
If I don’t close my eyes the eyeliner won’t even be on my eyelid because for some reason my epicanthic folds cover most of my eye💀
I’m black and I love my hooded eye❤ my eyes look like I’m Chinese or Japanese or something, I love the mixture in my face .
And when we close our eyes they can look blunder 😢
Then it all just gets rubbed off within an hour by the friction/oil 🥰🥰
My eyeliner always does this bumpy thing where for some reason the ink won’t transfer to my skin 🤦♀️
amazing
Glad you enjoyed it babe 💕
best
have you ever seen gilmore girls?! you look so similar to Lorelei !!
WHEN I OPEN MY EYES LIKE THIS 👀 MY LASHES TOUCH MY BROWS, I LITERALLY DONT HAVE SPACE TO MAKE UP 😭🤝🏻
Nice
Thanks babe ♥️
❤️❤️❤️👍🏻
♥️♥️♥️
I've never perceived my eyes as "hooded" because they look just like normal eyes, but this happened when I apply eyeliner, so apparently they are. 😅
Doing makeup has made me realize that my face is never relaxed and I DONT KNOW HOW TO 😂😅
Idk why i cant do this i tend to make my wing so thick ugh
no matter how i try my wing i always en up with a u shaped wing im so tired of my hooded eyes
I found both the same shape. Except that the left side is thicker :/ The same happens to me
TIGHT af pony tail it is for me😮💨
They look the same to me... maybe wings just have to be on the end points of your eye amd not across the whole lid.
I cannot do this look on my eyes.. this eyeliner trick look horrible on me. I just do small tiny wing liner to make my eyes look large hihi
Lorelai vibes
What are some of your favorite liners?
Seems like (Bollywood)Mrunal Thakur from foreign 😅😅😅
When you get over 55, the hooding happens as well!
Impossible for an idiot like me. I'm terrible at makeup.
I’m sure you’re not babe! Practice makes improvement 🥰
Still don't like how It stays in my eyes, i prefer making with shadow
Vampi se ve borroso porque tienes el aro de luz muy cerca a la camara y además el foco está en el centro. Ponte en el centro de mujeeeeeeeeeer
Both side are same
Apply with your brows relaxed😂
I dont see the difference, it's still squished and makes your eyes smaller. I give up, hooded eyes can't have winged liner. Period.
Yup, I’ll just resort to surgery.
I still didn't like it
They both look the same to me....
Sorry , no batwings for me !
i hate how my eyes looks
Looks bad too thick and you should keep the wing below the crease
I hate my eyes soo bad
When your lidd are so hooded that you have pretty much no lash line, so you have to do a very thin classic liner. 😂😭
It looks sharp but still not good 👎🏽
Girls tou need some facial massages to lift your eye lids.
B u ruk
It looks terrible 🤣🤣🤣
korean tutorial for hooded eyes is more better
The wing looks terrible on both sides.
Don't wear eyeliner u look more preetier without it
The “normal” way. Yuck
both suck
Neither of those looked good….
That’s what happens when you’re like 45 years old lady. My eyes are young and perfect
Are you for real?🙄 Feel sorry for you
It’s genetic. Nothing to do with your age
