    This tutorial could not have been any better. Absolute perfection with pace, explanation and range of examples.
    I am so glad Fusion 360 exists

      They could provide the model so you could practice, just saying.

    If all tutorials were this clean the world would be a better place. Your voice tone, timing, and flow with choice of depth is absolutely professional. This is what I was hoping for from many other tutorials with Fusion 360 that were somewhat muddy in terms of their grasp on communication and teaching. Are you an instructor at a college? If you aren't, you should be! Thank you good sir.

    See how joints in Fusion 360 are more powerful & flexible than other CAD tools & can be used anytime during the design process.

      +Chris Ciancimino Yes, you need to look into Contact Sets... you may have found that by now.

    Hello! I am hoping for an updated tutorial as the new version looks and functions significantly different than this version.
    I am unable to make the joints mate properly with the new 2022 workflow. Thank you :)

    at time 9:37, how did you design the linkage and hot do you join to two different components at two different ends?

    Great video. At 10:20 + you address As Built Joints. In the case of Rigid Joints, you would only select the two components and then hit OK?
    To clarify, there is no Joint Origin or Orientation?
    Thanks

    Is it possible to bring this in rendering applications like Maya without loosing the rig?

    A little doubt: How do I move components once they are joined? I have succesfully made the joint but I want to spin it around to see how it looks when working and I don't find the right tipe of clicking

      I can't manipulate my movable parts either. what are we doing differently?

    I created to components and created the revolute joint but when I try to move it with the cursor It doesn’t, and both components move together as if it was a rigid joint!😓

    • @adskFusion
      @adskFusion  4 года назад +1

      Add a joint between one of your two components to the larger assembly workspace to tie it down! Something needs to be fixed to allow for the rotation to happen. Check this out! ruclips.net/video/2w8BuJ-3_80/видео.html

    Still Struggling with joints in Fusion 360 . I wish to make the same type of motion configuration in fusion as I´ve done in Solidworks linking a simple part to follow a curve i drawn, however don´t feel like Fusion is helping me. Is there a simple way to do this?

    • @edizonay
      @edizonay 5 лет назад

      Create the body from your curve (revolve), enable contact set between those 2 bodies, set your joint as slider or cylindrical and it should do the job.

    Except of course that revolute does not mean revolve, which is what the actual intent is... English dictionary Autodesk :D Try it :D

    Can anyone get two unrelated joints to animate at the same time?

    • @adskFusion
      @adskFusion  5 лет назад

      Yes, most definitely! You'd just need to "drive" them at the same time.

  • @darkracer1252

    this is not critisism toward you but toward fusion360.
    but
    you should delete this video and make a new one. none of this is relevant anymore because they changed how it all works.
    for example. you cannot right click a body and ground it anymore.
    not to mention. it's been 7 years.
    however people get it as a top search result wich is bullshit.
