His teams choices mostly come from the personnel departments which he oversaw in NE so it's his responsibility but not his job. Pioli and Caserio had more of an impact on their drafts. You do mention players he inherited, but that doesn't tell the whole story. When Belichick arrived in NE, Bruschi was a part-time player and no one considered him a starting inside linebacker. This was as controversial as him choosing Brady over Bledsoe and people may not remember that at least 1/2 the Boston media thought keeping Brady in when Bledsoe was healthy was crazy. Belichick elevated a little used receiver named Troy Brown to become their #1. He also kept players like McGinest while jettisoning those like Chris Slade while bringing in players like Vrabel and Phifer. I watched the entire thing, Belichick did an amazing job overhauling that team into a SB team quickly. He knows pro talent and how to use it probably better than anyone.

The steelers are the best team in afc north. Then the Browns then Ravens. Browns have not won in pittsburgh since 2003. browns 1-11-1 in the last 13 games vs steelers.

Very misleading arguement? What about Marty Schottenheimers 44-27 record? Brady would never have become or survived if drafted in Cleveland. He's a product of playing his entire career under the defensive genius Belichick and solid offensive lines. He's just a lucky sob that feel into a plug and play situation where he's just always had the tools to succeed. He would have been out of the league in under 5 years of he was drafted anywhere else...

@Kirk Andrzejewski right, but Bill gets fired and the browns don't have him in 2000. If the browns didn't move to Baltimore they probably become a dynasty way before 2000 with any QB. My point is, Brady has a horse shoe up his ass and isn't very talented. He worked hard and did what belicheck wanted and got a ton of lucky breaks along the way. He'd be out of the league if drafted by a crap franchise, like Cleveland was in 2000.
You cant assume that everything would happen in Cleveland just as it did in New England. Whose to say that the Browns even draft Brady at all? He wasnt high on anyones list, not even Bill Billicheck. Also, Billicheck didn't do anything in Cleveland, same as anyone else that's coached there in the last several decades. The Browns definitely still move. Brady wasn't even much more than a game manager in his first 4 or 5 years. Look at his stats.. they're boring. He didnt really start growing as a passer until 2005 and 2006. 2007 he took a major turn towards greatness, statistically speaking. Besides, if you move one person somewhere else, it's a domino effect, and the league isnt anything like it is today. Youd see all sorts of players in different nfl uniforms today. Just the way it is. If the Browns (Ravens now) drafted Brady, I dont even think hes known as the same type of player as he is with New England. Brady was definitely a system quarterback early on, and if you dont believe me, go back and look. He needed a strong running game and a great defense back in the day.
Yeah, and that’s the only playoff game Bill won without Brady in about 6 seasons including going 5-13 with the Patriots going last place with 0 pro-bowlers til Brady came. Cus when Brady came, they went 14-3 and Brady the Superbowl MVP year 1.
jordan sheppard Before we overrate the shit out of what Cassell and Jimmy/Jacoby did, let’s see who they played shall we?? Cassell in 2008 played: AFC West - 4 teams with a Combined record of 22-42 NFC West - 4 teams with a Combined record of 23-41 In other words, on top of playing the easy 6 games vs his own AFC East, CASSELL PLAYED 8 TEAMS WITH A COMBINED RECORD OF 45-83 or a .351 win %!!!! THATS 14 GAMES!!! In other words, after taking over one of the greatest teams ever, the 2007 Patriots, above average QB Cassell and Belichick ONLY won 11 games IN THE EASIEST SCHEDULE OF BELICHICK’S career AND STILL MISSED THE PLAYOFFS!!! LMFAOOO
jordan sheppard Now, let’s look at what Jimmy G did. He’s a high draft pick, successor to Brady, the man who WENT ON A 5 GAME WINNING STREAK AFTER TAKING OVER THE WORST TEAM IN THE NFL (1-10 49er’s) and sealed an enormous contract to be one of the highest paid players in the NFL. He played 2 games (2-0) vs the: Week 1 - Cardinals: 7-8-1 Week 2 - Dolphins 10-6 He barely beat the bad Cardinals, did good vs the above average Dolphins. Now, let’s look at Jacoby (1-1) Week 3: Beat the Texans 9-7 Week 4: Lost to the Bills 7-9 The Pats DESTROYED the HORRIBLE Texans 27-0 where Jacoby threw for 0 TD’s and ran for one. Vs the Bills, they were EMBARRASSED being shut out 16-0. They realized Jacoby can’t throw for shit so if you stop the run, you stop the offense.
Beau Dworak The only reason why the Patriots have SB's is because Goodell and his butt buddy Kraft has the NFL completely rigged after 2000. Last year was proof as both the Saints and Chiefs were completely derailed by the referees by the planned acting of the NFL CROOKS.
Nah brady would have had success wherever he went. He took many shit offensive to 10 plus win seasons early in his career. Can anybody name the roster he had in 2006?
Imagine if the Browns had hired former Browns player Chuck Noll as head coach in 1969. Then Ham, Lambert, Greene, Franco, Swann, Bradshaw et al would have been Browns, and Cleveland would have had four SB wins in the seventies, and then hired Belichick and stayed in Cleveland and won six more SB's, and then ............ and then back to reality. The Browns suck, their fans suck, their city sucks, and no one alive today will ever see them play in the Super Bowl, let alone win one. Merry Christmas and a Happy Next Year!
Possible, yes. But not likely. Cleveland would probably have had some better seasons and Playoff appearances over the years but I can't picture them having the same success that New England has had since Brady became QB. Even a Super Bowl seems far fetched. Plus his stats probably wouldn't be as good with Cleveland as they are with the Patriots. A quarterback is only as good as the players they work with. The best QB in the universe wouldn't make much of a difference if he didn't have a good offensive line, good receivers, good coaches, etc. I figure if Brady had been drafted to Cleveland, he wouldn't have been there long before bolting for another team. So I don't think Brady would be nearly as successful at Cleveland than he is at New England, considering he wouldn't have a whole lot to work with.
if brady played for the browns; he would have been out of the league in 2 years. like every other qb that has passed through cleveland; the browns would have ruined him
Jesse Bowman Brady like Rogers should have been a niner but idiot fake owner JED YORK demolished that. Under Debartolo Jr ( HOF owner) he like Rogers would have been a niner.
Na. He took over Bill’s last place 5-13 Pats with 0 pro-bowlers. He went 14-3 winning the Superbowl and SB MVP Year 1. NFL Legends day Brady could win just about anywhere. Bill might have gotten fired without Brady.
K Hatch Brady don't come close to Montana. He didn't have a QB controversy and never got traded where as Montana the REAL GOAT played great with the Chiefs and played in an era were QB's were smashed and referees don't call personal foul for touching the shoulder pad and blow to the head was not a penalty and WR's are allowed to get smashed. Brady is lucky he never had to play against greats like Lawrence Taylor like Montana, Marino, Elway and others. He didn't have to face CB's like Deion Sanders like Aikman, Young and Farr had to endure. This NFL is rigged for the offense and protecting QB's. Deacon Jones and his generation would be kicked out of this NFL.
Dingle Berry. Bill was bad with the Pats with no Brady. Bottom of the league defense and offense going 5-13 earning Bill’s Pats last place... til Brady came. Cus when Brady came, his 1st year they went 14-3 and Brady got the SB MVP. Bill prob would’ve gotten fired as his team was tanking til Brady came, and he would’ve been irrelevant.
Okay I was a bit harsh on Brady originally-he has accomplished many impressive feats. However, it cannot be said that he carries the Patriots when they have seen success with him out of the line-up (11-5 in 2008 and 3-1 in 2016 without him)
Dingle Berry The 11-5 and 3-1 ARE SOOOO OVERRATED. 2008 opponents: AFC West combined record: (23-41) NFC West combined record: (22-42) AFC East - An average division That’s 14 winnable games!!! In conclusion, the 2007 Patriots went from arguably the greatest team of all-time (18-1) to 2008 going (11-5) AND MISSING THHE PLAYOFFS!! It was one of the easiest schedules of Belichick’s career and he missed the playoffs having Matt Cassel, a QB who in a couple of years would bring the SHIT Chiefs to the playoffs and go to the pro-bowl.
Dingle Berry The the 3-1 where Jimmy G went 2-0 vs average teams. Jimmy G would later go into THE WORST TEAM in the NFL, the 1-10 49er’s and go on a 5-game win streak. The Jacoby who went 1-1 beating the pathetic Texans followed by being shut out by the Bills 16-0.
If Browns or Lions get Brady, he would be selling used cars in Detroit right now. No rings, no super-model wife, no name. He should be thanking Bill Belichick every day of the rest of his life...
Tom Brady is the goat because he's been surrounded by some of the best receivers in the NFL, the Patriots jus picked up another monster N'keal Harry that's another receiver to just boost Brady's stats
richard Pryor Brady just won a Superbowl with the worst receiver core in the playoffs. Brady won his first superbowl with 0 pro-bowl receivers. Brady beat the Falcons in arguably the greatest Superbowl ever with only 1 person who was a probowler 1x in their career (Bennet). Everyone else was a 4th round pick or later. You don’t seem to know what you’re talking about
Dude Brady ain't going no where he is the best player on the team belicheck would not trade him unless he could get his hand on a better one he probobly would
Dude first of all the GM and owners makes trades of players and draft picks not the coach second of all NOBODY once said he was going to be traded, the video is just saying "WHAT IF" , did you even watch the damn video? And btw only lil fuckn kids like fortnight now lol
It took Brady a while to be anything beyond a game manager. Without the Patriots' defense, his career is likely FAR different. He probably has a closer career to someone like Jimmy G. A good player but nothing great. But I suppose in this alternate reality where Cleveland ends up with every player that ever played for the Patriots he would be fine.
This is a joke right? None of this would have happened. IF somehow Brady got drafted by the Browns he would have failed in the first year, end of career.
Belichik was with the Browns, but in New England, he also inherited a wiser ownership and a few great players named Ty Law, Willie McGinest, Adam Vinitieri and Tedy Bruschi. It does not happen in the same exact way anywhere else. One thing changes another in the theory of 'what if'....also, there would never be a snow game at exactly the right time.
These what-ifs are pretty stupid especially with the amount of reaches in this one. Belichick wasn't the main reason Brady was drafted, the Pats had a scout that was really pushing for him. Everything about Belichick and drafting is overblown good and bad as he doesn't have time to scout college players.
It was Belichick that benched Ted Johnson and put Bruschi in. This was as controversial as him choosing Brady over Bledsoe and people may not remember that at least 1/2 the Boston media thought keeping Brady in when Bledsoe was healthy was crazy. jordan sheppard Now, let’s look at what Jimmy G did.
He played 2 games (2-0) vs the:
Week 1 - Cardinals: 7-8-1
Week 2 - Dolphins 10-6
He barely beat the bad Cardinals, did good vs the above average Dolphins.
Now, let’s look at Jacoby (1-1)
Week 3: Beat the Texans 9-7
Week 4: Lost to the Bills 7-9
The Pats DESTROYED the HORRIBLE Texans 27-0 where Jacoby threw for 0 TD’s and ran for one.
Vs the Bills, they were EMBARRASSED being shut out 16-0. They realized Jacoby can’t throw for shit so if you stop the run, you stop the offense.
u know browns are still a team right?
Beau Dworak The only reason why the Patriots have SB's is because Goodell and his butt buddy Kraft has the NFL completely rigged after 2000. Last year was proof as both the Saints and Chiefs were completely derailed by the referees by the planned acting of the NFL CROOKS.
Nah brady would have had success wherever he went. He took many shit offensive to 10 plus win seasons early in his career. Can anybody name the roster he had in 2006?
Coulda, woulda, shoulda!
True if it fell like that
if brady played for the browns; he would have been out of the league in 2 years. like every other qb that has passed through cleveland; the browns would have ruined him
Jesse Bowman Brady like Rogers should have been a niner but idiot fake owner JED YORK demolished that. Under Debartolo Jr ( HOF owner) he like Rogers would have been a niner.
Brady would be cut and this video would say what if who ever bellichick drafted played for the browns.
brady help made belichick
That would be devestating
Cleveland would win all day
Let Brady start for any other team and he gets instantly exposed.
Na. He took over Bill’s last place 5-13 Pats with 0 pro-bowlers. He went 14-3 winning the Superbowl and SB MVP Year 1. NFL Legends day Brady could win just about anywhere. Bill might have gotten fired without Brady.
He definitely exposes his grown man balls and puts him your mouth :)
A year later and this is wrong
At best, if* this happened Tom Brady would be Philip Rivers.
Uh no lmao Brady is clutch unlike rivers and capable of winning big games
Browns gonna Brown
Imagine brady playing as a Detroit lion
You don't know if Cleveland could cheat as good as New England tho.
What would happen? Well the Browns would still be bad and Tom Brady never would’ve gotten the perfect situation and would be irrelevant
I’m sorry that we are in disagreement. That being said, I wish you nothing but the best.
2008 opponents:
AFC West combined record: (23-41)
NFC West combined record: (22-42)
AFC East - An average division
That’s 14 winnable games!!!
What if he went third in 49ers.
If Browns or Lions get Brady, he would be selling used cars in Detroit right now. No rings, no super-model wife, no name. He should be thanking Bill Belichick every day of the rest of his life...
The clowns will never have any money to get anybody good
*sad KTO noises*
The Browns would have 6 rings
But it’s NOT so relax everyone could say what if
tom brady is the GOAT
Tom Brady is the goat because he's been surrounded by some of the best receivers in the NFL, the Patriots jus picked up another monster N'keal Harry that's another receiver to just boost Brady's stats
richard Pryor Brady just won a Superbowl with the worst receiver core in the playoffs. Brady won his first superbowl with 0 pro-bowl receivers. Brady beat the Falcons in arguably the greatest Superbowl ever with only 1 person who was a probowler 1x in their career (Bennet). Everyone else was a 4th round pick or later. You don’t seem to know what you’re talking about
Like the pats would ever part ways with Brady.
The browns would still be a low tier losing franchise don’t flatter yourself
Na, Bill Belicheck is Missing. He's the mastermind.
Honestly I would have hated that 😲
Dude Brady ain't going no where he is the best player on the team belicheck would not trade him unless he could get his hand on a better one he probobly would
Your a dumbass little kid arent you? Lol
Dude first of all the GM and owners makes trades of players and draft picks not the coach second of all NOBODY once said he was going to be traded, the video is just saying "WHAT IF" , did you even watch the damn video? And btw only lil fuckn kids like fortnight now lol
@@josephramos1483 don't talk to my kid like dumb dude
@@kristybrunner8351 Lol wtf are you talking about? Learn how to type english properly because you are illiterate and dont make sense.
I would rather have the browns have the success the Pats had I live in MA & i can't stand the sports teams in New England!!!!!!!
Basically stole this video from KTO. I recommend watching his video on this, as it’s much better
That will not happen
Brady would be nothing if he was drafted by browns
The Browns would have lost 6 consecutive Super Bowls.
Wouldn’t it just be the current Pats in a different uniform?
This is a joke right? None of this would have happened. IF somehow Brady got drafted by the Browns he would have failed in the first year, end of career.
It's called a "What If"
@@Fansided "What if" the Browns were successful by drafting and developing their own talent. Then fans wouldn't have to make crazy videos like this.
@@bg3297 Now you're getting the hang of it
Your whole video is a fantasy bro
In this what if fantasy is Nick Saban still the defensive coordinator?
He would have been a bust
A 6th round pick can’t be a bust
How can a sixth round pick be a bust? Lmao
He would obviously not be the goat and retire in like 5 or 6 hears
Ummm...no.
