    Would a bad pivot pin make the clutch fork hit the pressure plate when pressing clutch in the whole way?

      Yes this happend to me, but mine was way more worn then the one he showed

    I'm using the metal version from an 850 and not sure if it's contributing to the rattle, or it's just the lightweight flywheel and sprung disk combo i'm using. Anyone get any rattle from these, esp if you're using a stock flywheel?

      lol, prolly ur flywheel.

      its the lightweight flywheel. could possibly be the throwout bearing if it was not ever replaced. had a 540i that had a brand new german throw out bearing w/ a lightweight flywheel and rattled like crazy sometimes, i didnt care though as the car was way more fun than with the DMF.

      @@AGATools the brass one would not seat as deep as the original

      @@rottdogsparky So sometimes the casting of the transmission case differs from car to car. Some cars this brass piece will fit, some of them fight you. I recommend you pulling it out and then hammering it back in with the recommended socket like stated in the instructions. It's ok if the casting of the trans case starts to butterfly out.       @@AGATools I sanded the brass piece until it sat about 2/3 of the way in and then lightly tapped it with a small dead blow hammer! Thanks for your help!
