songs sound harder than they actually are, now obviously it's still a challenge but dont let the sound of it fool you. chances are it's probably really easy.
Also, consider two facts: one, he might be just overdubbing the previously recorded (most probably), and two, there are pedals that let you play i.e. in standard tuning and you sound one, two ore more steps down.
Was thinking the same, I cant switch from E to D without feeling a massive difference while Im playing. Not only the tension but also the string height ! That is why I have 3 guitar : one in E one in Eb and one in D so I only switch from drop to standard x)
All the transitions are smooth and sounds like it's only one song, and the quality of the videos are getting better and better. Amazing job man! Can you please do next riffs for intermidiare players?
Probably The most underrated RUclips guitarist who is really good at Riffing and making songs .. I've been watching this channel back then and it's still underrated
I just want to let all you beginner and intermediate players and HELL those advanced players out there like me. We'll all get to a point where we feel at least a little satisfied with where we are. I finally learned to sweep pick. Im proud of myself. Keep practicing. start slow. and I promise.. though its a slow and painful journey. its a journey worth taking
thanks for the inspiration man. looking back i can see myself barely being able to play seven nation army without power chords to playing the entirety of enter sandman perfectly within 6ish months. hopefully there'll be a day where I can learn the solo for enter sandman.
@@rev9737 No problem man. It takes time. If you are anything like me you'll find yourself watching other guitar videos and you might feel a bit discouraged, but you can turn that discourage into inspiration, and you can practice all day (I did that yesterday, I enjoyed it) 6ish months to play the song perfectly? thats awesome man! I didn't learn my first solo until I was probably 5 years into playing, that was 3ish years ago and now I can sweep pick and alternate pick. Sweeping is a little messy but IM determined to keep practicing. I have faith in yuo man, one day you will be an awesome guitarist. Keep practicing no matter what
If you're looking for a good first metal song to learn from start to finish, For Whom The Bell Tolls is pretty good for that. It was one of the first songs I was ever able to play start-to-finish. There's one set of walkdowns in Kirk's second lead part that's kind of tricky for a new player, but if you can't get it, you can just play James' rhythm part. The rest of it is pretty straightforward.
@@Jedibob5 Yes, thank you, I will do that. It's frustrating being able to only just play parts of songs, fun but not a sense of accomplishment. Thank you again.
I like that many of these is just what the rhythm guitar is doing during a solo. Easy riffs, yes, but from difficult ass songs, which is exactly why I struggle learning full songs. Still this vid helps!
As someone who loves Type O Negative and loves to find Type O included in a video, they rarely ever are so was not really expecting to see them in here but love that they are, R.I.P Peter Steele💚🖤
Great video, I'd love to see one with slightly harder riffs such as Beauty in the Sorrow by Trivium, Through Struggle by As I Lay Dying, or Waking the Demon by Bullet For My Valentine
I feel like my dad would be proud if I get that King Diamond one there at the end down, but then again he was happy to just see me showninterest in guitar at all
Cool stuff, as usual! I would have love to have such material to help me learn 20 years ago. Just a bit of nitpicking: Ghost Love Score is in Standard D, and My Girlfriends's Girflfriend in Standard B. My 2cts of nerdy tuning guy. :D
when there's a cricle around the chord and no line above them it means that these are whole notes. while when there's a line above the circle they're half-notes. if you struggle with rhythm subdivisions check out this video where I explain all of this stuff: ruclips.net/video/6zPOyfuaJ94/видео.html
I appreciate that you include King Diamond song, but main riff from Give me your soul is not easy, at least not eastiest riff to play, due to this stretch on the frets. Shape of black from the same album would be more suitable.
Genuinely curious, when recording rhythm guitars do you record two different parts with two completely different tones, or do you record with the same tone for both parts? Or do you record one part and double it in post?
why do the first two songs like they're straight out of Doom 2? I swear, I've heard the similar track before Edit: the MAP10 (Refueling Base) sounds extremely similar

Hi bro. Just wanted to ask, that 2nd riff, is that off a mobile game app? It sounds familiar.
Hey! Not "Diamond Evil" was Diamond Head!
Subscribe too: ) great French rock riffs
the problem with metal riffs is...the ones you most want to play are the hardest ones :(
Not always.
songs sound harder than they actually are, now obviously it's still a challenge but dont let the sound of it fool you. chances are it's probably really easy.
Not really, unless you are into Megadeth or some prog bands
@@regular4634 thrash also can be a bit challenging. more so the finger stretching, slayer has alot of those
@@guitarplayer1495 well in general the 80's metal was difficult to play nowdays most bands are more simplistic whit the exception of prog
Cant have a easy metal riff without Rammstein

That the point of industrial metal so yea
Im tired of this type of comments simplisity does not mean easyness

Ah, Easy Metal Riff... the favorite genre of every guitarist
I'm still impressed that your SG can easily do everything from Standard to Drop A without changing strings. Just wow
Also, consider two facts: one, he might be just overdubbing the previously recorded (most probably), and two, there are pedals that let you play i.e. in standard tuning and you sound one, two ore more steps down.
digitech's Drop is pretty good at that. I think they even have a Whammy that can do it. It's quite impressive
my teacher has me playing a lot of Jazz right now, and i am very happy to come here and drown myself in metal! :)

i think he is using a drop pedal, bc it looks like the tuning pegs do not move at all
Am I Evil is such a timeless classic. I freaking love it. The Metallica cover is amazing as well!
I prefer the diamond head though the Metallica cover is good.
@@zanehakim7684 i would call you a hipster but you have such good taste in games so i cant

Oasis - wonder wall
Thanks! I especially love that you indicated where exactly in the original song the riff is located
Awesome job as always, I think I’ll try to play “Solitude” by Candlemass after watching you. Looking forward to 50 Black Sabbath Riffs 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
it's coming ^^

I'd prefer Yakuza 4's Solitude😏
Try other riffs from the same album as well, they're really chill to play and sound heavy as hell.
Another song with a similar part that’s also really fun to play is Marilyn Manson- Target Audience starting at around 2:35.

A little Dokken tossed into the mix... NICE!
Invocator-through the flesh to the soul is pretty easy but one pf the heaviest riffs ever
Thank you! This is the kind of list I’ve been looking for
hell yeah Solitude
Such a godly riff, i always listen to it at full volume
Makes me want to do the Messiah dance
Will you ever release the tabs for your 15 styles of Metal video? love the power metal section !

Nice work, Man! I wish you come a great guitar teacher! Waitin’ for 50 Sabaton riffs!!!🔥🙏🏻🎸
A surprise to see the piper never dies, my favorite Edguy track.
Thanks for the awesome tabs. Drop C is sooooo heavy.

that sg is kickass
"Toxic Garbage Island" considering Gojira are French I wouldn't be surprised if this was a dig at Britain.
Or maybe it's a place in the Pacific where they test their nukes 🤷♂️
Nah, it's about the great Pacific garbage patch. It's even in the lyrics
Thanks for Nightwish Ghost love score. Now playtime 🎸

The intro and main riff for walk by pantera is literally one note and a bend
Easy. Yes. Very easy when you are doing the riffs. ;-) But the most impressive thing is your sound. It is better as the original ones.

Nightwish!

More of these please :D
black sabbath- black sabbath is also really easy to play, and its the most evil riff you'll ever hear.
awesome job man (btw i think its diamond head and not evil)
If you want to play simple but meaty riffs, then Slamming Brutal Death Metal comes to your rescue.
Those MT drums though 😃👍
I'm learning how to play the acoustic guitar. can you show some easy acoustic riffs please?
Thanks for this great video !!! I am also looking for easy clean metal intro (like Sanitarium) ... if you have such a thing ...
Dynazty was absolutely unexpected between this giants
I never knew doom stole from candlemass and obituary
They didn’t steal, they took inspiration so its more like a tribute of sorts
do solos next
What do the tabs with the circles around them mean?

nope
drop a

How long does ot take you to do videos? Do you have to change out your strings a bunch because of all the different tunings?
He might do what I do and just pitch the guitar down in post.
whats the circle around some chords mean? I'm not familiar with that one

OBITUARY!!!
That aerials tab looks a bit harder then it should be...Those tied notes basically dotted eight notes
Ok, but then you don't have a clear vision of the quarter notes subdivision inside the measure. I've never liked to mess with that order
@@AndreaBoccarusso thats a point. For me it looks just a bit too busy
