I was really intrigued by those red stemmed portulacarias, so I ordered one online. It is quite small, but it'll grow. Thank you for introducing me.

The pink ports may be my new favourite, dethroning the cork bark. It looks like coral in that clump!

Ficus Trees are quickly becoming favorite along with Olives. The word Baobab always brings to mind the drawing in St- Exupery's The Litttle Prince

I am glad you liked the gifts. Mitchell sent you some cool Port's. Should grow great for you. At least the weather will hold up for you so that you can finish the greenhouse. Another great video.

So many cool varieties of ports. I got a bunch of variegated ones in a discount grocery store for €2 each. Each pot has two plants, so technically €1 each.
    Couldn't pass that deal by!!

Now there are bare roots,i ordered a bare root weeping willow ,when I received it it only had a couple of roots ,it looked sad to me,it noticed the postman forcing a business size envelope ,it takes had card board to protect it,the whole thing was squashed, sadly it didnt survive ,i didn't notify the company they said it would be okay, sent them the photo of the dead brach ,to me it wasn't a bare rooted tree ,just a cutting, they are sending me another ,let's hope it's what I paid for $25, great haul for you Nigel.

i know you're a bonsai guy and not an orchid guy, but an orchid would look great in that little 'log' pot. would give the appearance of a wood-mounted orchid without the nuisance! :P

Yeah I’m at the dilema of when to bring my ficuses inside. I have a west facing Window with 180 watts of LEDS, but even with the lowering sun angle, I’m not sure that’s any better. Fortunately the temps have been waaay above normal and I think I have at least a few more weeks outside.

You should put your hemlock in the log pot because in nature you will often find them growing out of rotting logs 🪵

Did these portulacaria afra's live? I quite like portulacaria afra's. Have you seen the mammoth portulacaria afra? They are really neat. Leaves are quite large. I found some nice ones at home depot. Home depot and lowes always surprise me with interesting plants. And they are usually quite inexpensive.
