    Hi Buddy, couple of things. Great video! The baffle, that little rubber plug covers the bolt that holds the baffle in. 5mm hex key used to take it out. The gasket, IS NOT ASBESTOS. This gasket is graphite, same as the original one. When I made this exhaust for the CMX 300 & 500, I looked at what our competitors were doing and they all looked wrong as you noted.The Musarri name is Italian, but we are an Australian company in Perth Western Australia, not China.Once again, thanks for posting such a informative video!Best Regards ShaneCEO Screaming Demon Pty LtdMusarri Racing Australia

      Hi Shane - got to say, i've just purchased this exhaust and it looks stunning. Well done! I do need some help (and from reading around, so do a few others...). I'm trying to remove the baffle and have taken the screw and bolt out which holds the baffle in but it still won't come out. Feels like it's wedged in and won't move at all. any advice on how to force it out? Is it meant to be that stuck in?
      Thanks,
      James

    Thank you Shane for replying back, great information. Didn't mean any disrespect by saying is was probably made in China. So many manufactures that leave the point of manufacture off the advertising and packaging are such. I have since the video found the little rubber plug, Baffle came out super easy. Luckily back in easy too, cause it was loud. Sounded like a CRF 450 with a can.
    Again, thank you for the info and for making a quality product at a reasonable price. I will try to make a quick update vid to rectify some of my incorrect info.

      Great video! Quick question, did you have any trouble taking the baffle out? I removed the hex bolt but it won't come out. Doesn't even feel any looser. Did you have the same problem?

      Rich MSX 125 yeah, they are loud without the baffle, some people love that, but there is loud and then there’s LOUD. I do like making loud exhausts, but unfortunately there are laws and such. Thanks again

      @@jameschilds3904 Mine came right out with a little tug with needle nose pliers. Needs to be straight out as to tolerance is tight. Try it with the exhaust warm or even hot the metal will expand, but the baffle might too ?

    Nice video sir, picking up a 500 tomorrow and was trying to determine which exhaust to replace the OEM one with and this sold me. Been looking for a video with the baffles in since everyone wants to take them out. This muffler looks like it will be perfect with the baffles in for what I want...loud and rumbley without pissing off the whole neighborhood.

    Sounds great, picked up a 300, I like the stock exhaust but honest would like it louder to be heard by other drivers. I might look into getting something just like that.

    The bag is a Dowco rally pack tail bag, got real good deal on amazon 50 bucks. Those handles came with the bike. there saddle bag stays I flip upside down, lots of mounting options and now easily bring a 12 home. Have ridden since I made that vid, weather has been awful in Rochester NY this spring. Got the seat, it was cheaper than most racks you can buy.

    I'm glad you put this video out! I didn't like the tbr exhaust, the Yoshi is ugly, and I'm weary of purchasing something so integral from a brand I'm not familiar with. I'm excited to have found a video on this exhaust and I'll be picking one up soon :) Great review!

    Nice deep sound, goes to the back past rear foot peg yes, not over loud I like that, baffle yes, looks good too, and less than 250? Sold! :) Going on my 2019 Rebel 500 thanks for video!

      I sold the 300 and now have a 500, with the 500 the cat stays with the header, so now I'm running without the baffle and really love the sound. I have over 3000 miles on that exhaust between the two bikes, no sign of wear, paint issues or anything. For people thinking about the three brothers look at this first.

    This video would’ve convinced me to get the Mussari instead of the TBR. Damn, now I’m selling the TBR exhaust I have for my 300. It’s way too loud and the one I received wasn’t compatible with the DB killer they sell separately.

  • @drewhall3028
    @drewhall3028 5 лет назад +2

    Hey there! I just recently had the TBR on my 300 and the thing was WAY too loud, painful to ride after too long and after 500 miles with it on I decided to take it off. Yours sounds great though! So my question for you is, is the mussari, with the baffle in, TOO loud in your perspective? I ride my bike everyday as much as I can so TOO loud can become quite the headache! Thanks!

    Syracuse NY here, Just bought a rebel 300 and ordered this exhaust, thanks for the video. Glad I found it! Do you have any tips or advice? I've never installed a slip on before. Think I heard something about not pushing the gasket all the way on or something. Thanks. Sounds great btw.

      The Musarri exhaust is very nice for the price. I now have moved it to a 500. It sounded awesome on the 300. It is a very straight forward install. Definitely leave the gasket about 3/8ths up the header. Then slide it on , it’s tight it will push the gasket a little Back, final assembly leaves a about a 1/8 in gap. No biggie love the exhaust Sorry I didn’t take a close pic but the final assembly leaving the little gap. It fits the header perfect. Clamp is good, I went with my stock clamp to keep everything black. thanks for replying.

      @richmsx125  Год назад

      Its a thumper, they all have that basic sound. I think the RPMs went up quite a bit quicker than a Grom. My current Grom has Two brothers, K&N and a DHM tune for that set up. Sounds good but the rebel sounded mean, more of a CRF 450 type. Don't have that 300 beast any more, but it was fun.

  • @noot7109

    It seems that even the expensive exhausts like Musari are absolutely obnoxious on the 300. It's just way too high pitched. Like a dirt bike straight piped! I tried a 60$ Radiant cycles shorty GP pipe on my 300 and its 100% just straight pipes and sounded HORRIBLE on acceleration. Like a bee with a megaphone. If it was deeper it wouldn't be so bad. Is the 500 deeper? Considering the caty is still in the mid pipe on the 500? Removing the caty on the 300 just spells trouble no matter what exhaust you put on. I did enjoy watching you install it though. Funny commentary. :p

      Thanks Nick, I did like the exhaust on my 300, I left the baffle in most of the time. With the baffle in seemed pretty deep. Out is was loud but still thought it was deep sounding. the bike will never be a Harley. The 500 is another story, pretty much ride with the baffle out and I like the sound, has a little barbling sound when decelerating . Baffle in on the 500 has a nice tone, similar to a cbr 500 stock, just a bit louder. Gonna get some riding vids out soon, found a mic that works with little wind noise.
