I'm one of few that also put this slip on, on my 2022 rebel 500 abs and let me tell you what the video really doesn't do it justice. Like yes of course it sounds good in the video but not as good as it does in person!
I bought this one about a year ago after reading a lot of reviews. Despite the shorty GP getting lots of sales and good reviews, many people complained about it sounding like a “wet fart”, and just too loud in general. This one didn’t have a fraction of the sales, and only and handful of reviews (at the time), but they convinced me this was the one for me. A year later, I’m very happy with it. If you’re someone who doesn’t mind the stock muffler, but just wants something a little bit more throaty and substantial, this is your best bet. Good price too.
I've fitted this so called cheap muffler !! and it is surprisingly very good - easy to fit - well made- and a very pleasant sound - its miles better that the Honda stock one.
I’ve been out of the bike scene for over 30 years, I’m REALLY getting the itch to get back into it on one of these Rebel 500’s. That exhaust sounds great!
Corneliuscrewe677 I am an old man biker at 72 and I bought a 2022 Rebel 500 SE ABS and I got after a 10 years out of riding when my 750 LBS bagger just got too heavy for me to handle with Leukemia.... Fast forward still alive with leukemia still and I can handle this bike with it's great power to low weight ratio... I really really love my Rebel 500 and may God grant me more time to ride it~! I think it is the most fun bike I ever owned so far~! Kit
@@deshavetalkwithkit8935 Thanks for the encouragement, but my car died and I replaced it with a brand new Tacoma, so it’ll be awhile till I can get the bike. At least until the wife’s car is paid off. I was trying to get 6 more months out of my old Grand Marquis to do just that, but it wasn’t havin’ it😆
I have this pipe installed on my 2022 Rebel 500 ABS SE and it is really great. From your video you can see just how great it sounds. I found the fit and finish to be perfect with a 10 min. install. Something nice too is the the pipe does NOT block a torque wrench access to the rear axle nut so that allows you to torque the nut after a chain adjustment. The stock pipe blocks this access. Secondly, for my bike I went from a top speed of 88 MPH to 93 Miles Per Hour after the new pipe install. Perfect balance between volume and tone. What a super pipe. Highly recommend it .... Kit
I'm using this muffler too on my 2020 rebel. Despite of the shape, it does sound good to me. Not too loud, better than the sock, not harley sound wannabe and not ripping my wallet.
Can vouch for this pipe as well. Bought mine about a year ago and it is well worth the ~$90 I paid for mine. I’m not ultra crazy about the shape although I do think it works well with the rebels styling. Overall I would say if you are on the fence, don’t be. Forget the pricey arrow, two brothers, and Vance and Hines pipes and save yourself some money.
I actually really like this muffler, it looks good and clean. It has a Subaru Burble sound to it, which I really like. It sounds mean if you pour on the throttle, but it's tame and sounds like a $1000 muffler when cruising, not just a fart can.
@@MotoGearSolid on top of that, the style fits the bike. I’d be more than happy with this pipe if my V&H didn’t come with my bike. You’ll have to show off all your other upgrades with the money you saved!
sounds really good. i have bags on my 500, so i went with the GP Shorty, as not to burn the underside of the bag. but that does look good, and sounds great.
This is what im planning to use for rebel. Next option will be vance and hines which is way more expensive. Good thing this exist, bonus point is that its not too upward so saddle bags are safe from exhaust heat with this one.. and its very cheap with really awesome sound. Stock exhaust sound bad and looks bad haha
@@MotoGearSolid oh. Didnt know that issue. Well if that happens here its not a big problem since this is very cheap hehe. Just hope it last years before that happen
@@MotoGearSolid Mine pops and I love it ~! Now worries about the motor .... geese this has a LOT more back pressure that the Shorty so many are running ~!
If you want a little more that stock on volume and much much better performance ..(.88 to 94 MPH on my bike) This is the ONLY pipe that makes as much sense..... really no BS Kit

Is that shield OEM or aftermarket?
I took off my exhaust and running without one at the moment, does it sound similar? I am loving no exhaust sound
ok fine then looks like im buying it

Can you lift the rear with paddock lift stand without hitting the muffler.
Nice upgrade. I think it looks and sounds better.

I did not know it was already slip on from the factory. That’s pretty damn awesome.

El sonido del nuevo tubo de escape perfecto ,mejor que el tubo de escape original, muchas gracias un saludo desde España 🇪🇸 ✌️

Thank you for the video just ordered one

I am thinking of getting one of these for my 2019 Rebel 500. I just have to see if it would interfere with my right saddle bag.
Can I install this on my 300 rebel ?
Sounds amazing. Not too loud and looks great. What's the weight difference from the stock?
Wish they had something this cheap and easy for the SCL500
Hey thx for this tutorial, can you tell me if it's Euro legal , I'm in France and we use to have DB killer
is there a way to remove baffles from this exhaust?
Do i have to have the back pegs on to put this on? or is the connection point already part of the bike?
Yo bro ! could you please put here some link to this exhaust, where did u bought it ? sounds much better than oryginal ! :D
What's the exhaust called?
Did you have to tune anything after or is it really just slip on that’s it ?
It has a perfect fit and just requires two bolts ......ten min install nothing needed to make it fit ~!
500 and 1100 no tune required as the CC is not in the muffler. 300's a tune is recommended.
Do any of you guys have popping on deceleration with this exhaust? I do and I like the sound but not sure if it is bad for the bike?
@@MotoGearSolid Mine pops and I love it ~! Now worries about the motor .... geese this has a LOT more back pressure that the Shorty so many are running ~!
Yes mine pops normal. Two years on my bike NO damage~!
will this work on a Rebel 300?
Did you find out? Also wondering
Did you guys find out? I just got a 2024-300 and I’m wondering if this will fit.
@@TonyHR300your 300 has a cat converter in the exhaust, if you swap it it’s gonna perform terribly. So I wouldn’t if I were you.
DOES ANYONE HAVE A LINK FOR A SUITABLE DB-KILLER FOR THIS EXHAUST?
No DB available but you won't need one......
Is it loud?i finding one that not too loud..
