Memmel was injured before the olympics started so she could have been replaced with an alternate but apparently the coaches thought she could still compete the bars (her best event). Peszak was literally hurt herself during the warmup before the start of the qualifications. There was probably no time to replace her. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
