Just a clarification:
The nfc cards that were "copied" aren't actually vulnerable to attacks of this sort, nowadays EMV bank cards have cryptographic algorithms that run inside their chips to verify transactions using a sort of public-private key transaction with the bank through POS terminal. What this attack is doing is essentially stealing the ID that the card uses (aka card number) to identify itself with the bank so it can send back a challenge code. This might be helpful to cybercriminals as some credit cards send all of their information through the nfc signal (including cvv and exp date which might be used to make online transactions), but should not work for performing transactions at contactless terminals with the flipper.
The real problem starts with RFID cards, which are mostly used for access control systems and only transmit a fixed ID each time they're scanned, if you manage to copy one of these then you will be able to open any door that card would have been able to open.
As of right now, the flipper zero is mostly an educational research device, while there might be some vulnerabilities that could be exploited by it, they are mostly widely known vulnerabilities that already have mitigations available. As always, the most common point of failure is the human behind the machine and if you are already able to exploit that, then a flipper wont be of much help.
Ahh makes more sense. Some Amex cards didn’t show any details but let you emulate it while some Visa cards I’ve tested on showed all details
@@iamLucid Either way it's scrary since as you mentioned, now the demand is only getting up people are gonna start working on even more crazy "hacking devices" at which point maybe there are going to be portable hacking devices released to the public that can do more dangerous things than turning off a TV in public.
@@iamLucid flipper doesn’t work with bank cards due to the cryptography and the way they work, I’ve had many issues with NFC the flipper hardware just cant emulate curtain nfc types like MILFARE DesFire or NFC-V

Every tool this has has been around for years, I love mine but all it really adds to the game is potability. 9/10 times I'll use the dedicated tool vs the flipper if it is an option.
I will say, the best tool is the one you have on you.

Its scary now that everythings digital. Prices are digital, property keys are digital, belongings, cars etc. The fact that these sort of things can take your whole life away in half a second is extremely alarming.

Same thing as with bank cards applies to Yubikeys. They have private non-extractable data, flipper can't grab it, as the key simply doesn't allow the downloading of it. You can't grab a yubikey with the flipper, and that's the whole point of a yubikey.

the video doesn’t show the community behind the device. after getting my flipper and got into the community and spoke to people and learned from them the community is very unique .
it’s not people wanting to cause harm to other people but a group of individuals who are very interested in testing the possibilities behind this new technology.
in a couple different communities i’ve seen people talking about this video. a lot of people don’t feel as if you’ve looked into the community enough to know and understand how we use it and what kind of people we are.
i will be fair there are a handful of people who aren’t just using it for good along with teenagers who get one to learn the bad of the world but i feel as if most of the community are good people just interested in the capabilities of this technology.

The thing is, the Flipper Zero isnt all bad.
First of all, its a pretty good kickstarter, by releasing on the promised date and not delaying by years and giving donors actually good perks
Second, it can be used for good, and by good i mean not bad, as it is a all in one device, it can be your credit card, home/tesla keycard, tv remove, garage remove, etc.
Third, It can be used by companies as a penetration tester
