Thank you so much for this recipe! I purposely bought two whole chickens, roasted them in the oven, deboned them, using the meat for a chicken pot pie and some of your homemade lunch meat. My hubby and his co-worker loved the lunchmeat ( I spiced mine up a little for my hubby's taste and his co-worker thought he was back in Jamaica!) and the pot pie lasted for two meals. I also used the bones to make some homemade broth. I've learned so much from you!! Thanks again! :-)

Thank you so much! I really miss my lunch meat, but they say that when you're pregnant you can't have lunchmeat unless it is heated, but it's the middle of summer! I think this would be perfectly fine because it's already made of cooked meat and nothing else but seasonings and Gelatin ! You're awesome! I've been watching you for years! You're so full of good advice and so down to earth! Thank you so much for the time and effort you put in to these videos to teach others how to care for themselves and their families! The best

Bev I have to tell you I love your videos... I am 62 years old and thought I knew all there was to know about canning but you have taught this old dog new tricks. I wish I lived closer ... I think your a fabulous person and would love to have lunch with you sometime. But I am sure there are a lot of folks on here that feel that same way . Can't wait to see more videos and waiting for the growing season to start.

Hey Girl, question of the day from me is, can you do this with other meats, with the same ratio of gelatin, or is it different, we get a lot of leftovers from ham, turkey and roasts, Hubby and I are truck drivers and this would be awesome for some take along food, we don't eat in the truckstops unless we have to.

You are already my favorite channel on RUclips, but this one truly got me excited. I hate buying lunch meat (it's barely meat yet priced for prime), but my guys love sandwiches. Since I have left-over chicken I will be trying this today. If using chicken stock instead of gelatin, how much should I use? A cup? Thank you so much!!

I wished you would have put measurements for the spices I'm sure it's just to your own taste but I like to try someone elses taste once in a while 🤭☺️ but I absolutely love this video and your knowledge thank you so much I'm not supposed to have lunch meat from the deli because of all the additives the preservatives 🤢🤮 nobody needs this type of food I've been trying to eat clean for a while now and it takes a minute to get back to liking the taste but it does happen you do get used to the taste because it does taste different we've been conditioned to processed foods since we have been away from Mom 😢 💔, thank you so much 🤗

Thanks for sharing this! Question, I basically followed your recipe verbatim, but used a precooked ham as the meat. Since your roasted chicken is already cooked, this is why you don't need to re-cook the lunch meat, right? So I'm thinking it should be the same with a fully smoked pork ham too. Your thoughts?

Bev, my dear, you are the QUEEN of frugal eats!!! Howie will be the envy of the sandwich brigade at lunch time without a doubt! I do have one little teeny suggestion to make though...I read recently that the BLIGHTERS at Knorr (and everywhere else, for that matter) are getting sneakier and sneakier about ingrediants. I cannot remember specifics (sorry), but suffice it to say that I don't think the gelatin in gelatin is coming from bones anymore. Hopefully I am ALL WET on this and you can keep using the Knorr as it is jolly convenient, but you might wanna just check it outskee!! tootles, Della xoxo

I remember when you had to use one of those heavy meat grinders to get your own lunch meat, but boy was it ever good. I have not seen that done in years and years. Man is it good when you use YOUR OWN favorite spices. I have roast left over, so I'm going to make some in the morning. I will add some of the gravy in with it too, cause it has lots and lots of onions in it.
Did you ever get the memories going. Thank you! PS I'm just glad I can use my food processor now, and not have to dig out the old metal meat grinder. (they can still come in handy though)

hey Bev, do you think this could be done with pork, too? Mr. P has a roast he wants to cook and I don't eat pork but Mr. P does eat lunch meat - usually spicier... suggestions? if he cooked the pork, maybe we could make a loaf and slice it (he got himself a fancy dancy slicer) and he would have luncheon meat for a week...
