Its really strange to observe that drones as referred in this episode was familiar during the 80's. I thought that drones were invented during 2000's.
Drones were around since before World War 2.
The first military drone was actually a Soviet T-26 in 'Tele-tank' version.
It was a remote controlled light tank.

I always wondered why in the 1st season Kitt had rockets missiles & a laser but in the later seasons he didn't have any of them expect the laser bonnie try to put in for Carr and why Bonnie was in the 1st season but had April in season 2 and then Bonnie came back in season 3 ?
I guess the moat logical explanation is kitt was destroyed completely multiple times.. So they didn't add those when they repared kitt. And according to google bonnie left show bcz of some issue with director or something like that in season 2. Don't remember correctly. U can search google
