I wish people could just watch and enjoy a video that took hours to produce without questioning little irrelevant things like whos driving. Great video guys, will totally love this road trip.
You can see how much Luke loves Susan. Sometimes he melts around her ❤ He is so respectful when he speaks of her and to her. She puts a light in his eyes ❤ Hello from Alberta 🇨🇦
Hi guys all the way from South Africa, you guys always inspire me to do things like that with my husband. But unfortunately the crime in our country makes us way too scared to actually do it. I am with you in spirit and enjoying watching you guys. Keep it up.
Hi there Alwaniese, if you drive through all these small towns (dorpies), you will find the friendliest people. My wife and I did a road trip recently and we enjoyed it.
Hello Luke and Susie, wonderful movie. Thank you. Luke, I had to laugh when you said oh things just hurt when you get over 40. Give it another 25 years and then we’ll talk. Ha ha ha can’t wait for the next two parts. Thank you for taking us along, Kathy
Haha. I have too say guys. When you hit your 40’s, the body does react differently. That’s why I bought a caravan and stopped with the tent. I’ve 10 knee surgeries, 4 shoulder surgeries, 2 elbow surgeries, 2 big back surgeries and two new hips. I couldn’t get dressed in a ridge tent, so I went caravan. I’m 56 nearly too nearly 57. Even the caravan is causing issues. But I can’t give it up yet. I use my car tow ball too get my water and empty the loo. But I just love my caravan. I bought this van, it was second hand for mum and I after my dad died. My mum LOVED 🥰 AND I DO MEAN LOVED THE VAN I HAVE NOW. BUT unfortunately she died 3 yrs after I bought it. I still go out with the club. So if I have any small issues I’ve plenty of people too ask. It’s not the same without her, I must say. I still can’t sit on mums side of the van. But too be honest, I know this sounds stupid. I know they are both there with me in the van. I pass their grave yard every time I’m off somewhere and always ask as I’m passing, if they’re coming with me. I know that sounds crazy, but I do it every time. 🤷♀️🙏🫶❤️🇬🇧😇🙏😇🤷♀️🫶❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Yay, another roadtrip, I love these adventures with you and Susie together... And y'all always choose the best music that suits the scenes. Awesome scenery too. ❤️👍
TOGR…. Just want you to know that I absolutely LOVE the music you chose for this video…. Some I have never heard of … but now they are all downloaded with the help of SIRI.. Lol. 😆😆 Have a great time and be SAFE, thanks for another great video!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Had me cracking up with stop at Arkansas and the chicken story. And then when you guys drove off and showed the shot of the drumstick on the road, had me cracking up! 😂 Thank you for the laughs and the great vacation video. I love when you guys do road trips and share it with us. Thank you so much! Love you guys!
Hi guys!! I have really enjoyed your nice trip. I am a tired old lady who has enjoyed all of your videos or at least most of them. I am 77 years old.Your road trip has been so much fun and the scenery was lovely Thank you ɓoth for sharing it with us.
Hubby and I are watching your adventure . We are planning our own out west adventure for next year, Lord willing. We laughed when you talked about long trips being harder when you get older. We are 70 and 72. 😂Hopefully you can watch our adventures. I know ya'll are having a great time.
I loved seeing New Mexico again - just as beautiful as I remembered. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the trip, and sharing your keen observant eyes on the world.
Luke, Thank you so much for your wonderful videos. I pray you and Susie have a safe and wonderful trip. Go with God. By the way if you think mid 40's is bad, wait until you reach your mid 70's. LOL. Strength and Honor.
Hey guys I stopped one time at that Allsups in San Jon and it was the worst convenience store I’ve ever been in. Future hint, stop at the Russell’s Truck stop right across the border when you cross into New Mexico. They have awesome hamburgers. They also have a cool little car museum. Enjoyed the video.
You guys are so enjoyable to watch. Your chemistry makes it happen. Susie mentioned teamwork and that perspective is spot on. I have been on a four month road trip up the entire West Coast. It's been super enjoyable sightseeing and making friends along the way. I nearly rented a studio in Hammond near Astoria, Oregon, due to the beauty of the coastline and the Columbia River. I am now in Lacey, Washington, and the beauty has not stopped. You are so right in that flying is not the best way to enjoy our country, Susie. Doing it like you two...driving it is literally the way to see, hear and feel the Air, smell the roses. It is 22:11 hours now so I will make my coffee and wish I could have some of those nachos. I will settle for halving an avocado for a snack. I will just kick back and enjoy your road trip movie. Great entertainment!
I had to constantly keep adjusting the volume, because the music scenes are alot louder than the rest of the video. Just a little fyi if you want to keep that in mind! Other than that, awesome video! Thanks for bringing us along!
What a great video this was as always lots to see looked like a nice adventure. the badlands were spectacular look at those views eh , Same with when you entered Utah Just WOW amazing The Valley of the Gods was out of this world , So happy you brought us along with you incredible footage folks .and how it was formed is very interesting, off to your next video . Ontario , Canada
Hey Luke and Suzie, another great video. My wife and I used to live in Smithville. You can find it by following Tenn 56 south from Silverpoint about 20 miles from I-40. You are right that this is a great place to fish. Since it is a mountain lake it gets deep fast. About 15 feet offshore the water is 30 or more feet deep. We spent many a weekend on Center Hill Lake. There are a number of parks and campgrounds around the lake.
Great to see you both, working the trip together, Epic adventures are to be had, you only need to take a few steps away from the normal. Wonderful scenary, enjoy the adventure!
What an awesome view at the end in the nite!! Years ago my 1st hubby and I went to new Mexico to visit dome cousins etc...on the way back we saw a beautiful view driving little out of our way on outskirts of canyons. Beautiful fullest moon ever coming up over the rocks!! This summer we are planning a trip into yellow stone. Haven't had chance to see it all and I can't wait!!
I am really excited to see the next part and really enjoying your roadtrip and backpacking adventures, especially the commraderie you both display. Hope your tender heel starts feeling better soon, Luke, and Suzie's back starts feeling better too. Sincere warm wishes and Thank You, Suzie and Luke. ❤ 😊 PS: Been liking your Music accompaniments.
❤ love you both. I found that the 40's 50' s and 60's were my best years, my husband drove big rig across the country just the two of us it was wonderful.
That's funny about the cereal!! In our family we poor it in a big bowl and eat it like popcorn!! Watching a movie my grandkids love this treat. We found a smores cereal we also add little chex mix in it and bam insta snack!! Our kids still do this apparently as the grandkids were not at all surprised when this grandma presented it to them one nite ..good Disney movie and cereal 🥣 snacks the best!
Lied in bed with flu feeling sorry for myself and have been binge watching your sdventures ,cheered me right up enjoyed them all love from across the pond ❤❤❤
Luke you have the perfect radio voice. You and Susie may want to do a podcast sometime. Y’all work so well together and have great chemistry! And Luke you’re a great DJ! Sorry Tony…we still love you ❤ too.
Great video! We are hoping to visit some of the great Utah places in coming months and years as we now live in NW Arizona. Have loved the Sierras and Redwoods in CA and the Great Smoky Mountains in TN. Looking forward to your fun out West! By the way I think I-40 through Arkansas is very pretty in most of the spots! Funny in that you the movie-maker ran into movie-makers filming on I-40 in NM! What spectacular scenic views from your very chilly and windy camp site in NM! Wow!
Should of got the burritos and chimichangas at the Allsup gas station where you got the burgers. They are great and famous for them. We made it a point to find a Allsup on our trip out west just for them.
Thank You Luke & Susie, for taking us along with You on this journey really enjoyed it. LOVE Your Van and how you set it up. And the meals Yummy Susie, Your mascot is cute. Can't wait for part 2. LOVE And GOD BLESS You both Aloha Always Sister Chrissy Honolulu Hi 😘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘💜💙💋
Ironic, there as you got into Arkansas and talking about chicken...I got some of the best fried chicken I ever ate in an Exxon gas station just west of Memphis. The lady had a kitchen in the back of the building and was cooking up heaps of fresh fried chicken, which I love. It was so good. I bought enough to have for supper.
Luke, I'm 63 years old. I haven't felt anything yet. And I feel like I'm 25 years old. Even though I'm 63, it's hell of getting old if you go on any hikes, take it easy ok

Don't let those few people bother you. I didn't see those comments myself but everyone is different and so expect different points of view.
What a strange wish
I did wonder why your wife drove. Not in criticism, though. Also, you two are great to watch. You are a great couple. Blessing to you both.
@@suebeal4682 Luke mentioned that the reason Susie drives is so he can operate the camera. He can't safely drive and shoot video so Susie drives 😊😊
You can see how much Luke loves Susan.
Sometimes he melts around her ❤ He is so respectful when he speaks of her and to her. She puts a light in his eyes ❤
Hello from Alberta 🇨🇦
Excellent video, Luke and Susie! I can’t believe you kept my attention for the full 1:32:04! Way better than any network tv show!
Hi guys all the way from South Africa, you guys always inspire me to do things like that with my husband. But unfortunately the crime in our country makes us way too scared to actually do it. I am with you in spirit and enjoying watching you guys. Keep it up.
Hang tough, be safe and prayers for you.
Hi there Alwaniese, if you drive through all these small towns (dorpies), you will find the friendliest people. My wife and I did a road trip recently and we enjoyed it.
We from Cape Town by the way.
"I'm also a great navigator"... Next scene: "I have no idea where in Tennessee we are" - classic 😂👍
Hello Luke and Susie, wonderful movie. Thank you. Luke, I had to laugh when you said oh things just hurt when you get over 40. Give it another 25 years and then we’ll talk. Ha ha ha can’t wait for the next two parts.

I'm loving the music playing during the driving. I was hoping for a list of albums or performers, but I don't see anything listed.

Man this music is awsome. Good picks.
Should of got the burritos and chimichangas at the Allsup gas station where you got the burgers. They are great and famous for them. We made it a point to find a Allsup on our trip out west just for them.
I'll tell you Luke one of these days when you're mixing up that coffee you going to bring the burnt melted spoon out of it like the old cartoons 😂😂

Valley of the Gods is one of my favorite places. I was there in January. Muddy as heck! I’ll probably go back to the area before it gets too too hot.
You guys are making me hungry, so many shots of the food you’re eating in the beginning. Nom nom nom!
I am thoroughly enjoying this video and I love the music you are playing. Please tell me what it is. Thank you and take care you guys.
Nice video guys. Keep up the awesome videos.
Love this video!
Another great start y'all S&H, Bill
Loved the show.
Susie is super cute and a wonderful helpmate for you. Lucky guy!
Hi Luke and Kitty, I think Luke missed his calling...he washed that windscreen thoroughly...Mr Window washer. Lol
I love watching Suzie make sandwiches and cook!!
Luke, I'm 63 years old. I haven't felt anything yet. And I feel like I'm 25 years old. Even though I'm 63, it's hell of getting old if you go on any hikes, take it easy ok
Fabulous video!
A portable TENS machine and alternating between ice and heat compresses might help with your foot.
Enjoying the life :)
Nice to see you all out in my neck of the... woods? haha. I live in Utah and I love riding my motorcycle through VotG and Monument Valley. And you're right about the desert... there's just SOMETHING there. Sonoma, AZ is a wonderful place, as well.
How fun, enjoy, and stay safe! I’m been in southern Utah remotely working (HQ in DC) since 2021. Loving it here and opportunities on weekends to go camping in AZ or CA or NV or CO. Just got back from WA state too.
Always great content brotha!
Wish I knew you were coming this way! I could have warned you about Allsup's, for drinks they are fine, DON'T EAT THE FOOD!!!! We have them in Texas too.
Looking forward for part 2 :D
You're not far from where we live near Nashville. We're in Murfreesboro, TN. Welcome again to Tennessee!! Thank you for your thoughts on getting older and ailments and how we deal with them. I've recently had surgery for my kidney disease and now have nephrostomy tubes from my kidneys. When I first got home, I couldn't imaging how I was to live with these and enjoy life. But, I've gradually learned how to navigate and creatively figure out ways to live with these tubes which are permanent.
Valley of the Gods is breathtaking
Me and husband did the trip from SW Oklahoma to WV in a U-haul carrying everything we owned in the back. We had just finished a 2 year stint for the Peace Corps in Africa, leaving there in the middle of the hot season. Got here in May and loved the "cool" weather driving to our new home. We were used to 110°F of the hot season in africa. It was like seeing the country for the first time. Arkansas has a section where the hills are very short. It was like rolling up and down on the crest of a wave and down again until you run into a combine harvester on the 2 lane country road! Watch out for the tarantula and scorpions in the West! Good memory. Hope you had some pecan deserts while in Arkansas!
Thank you for sharing your trips with us we love watching you both I hope you do a Iowa trip soon
After 40 years of marriage, I can only remember Patty driving once because I was sick. It's just the way we rolled. Poison ivy is no fun. I am 64, trust me, growing old s not for sissies! I love watching y'all travel west. We were stationed in Arkansas so seeing the pyramid and the bridge over the Mississippi. (living on the edge, hahaha) Everywhere you go, I pause the video and look it up on Google Maps. Angel Peak Campground looks really cool. As I looked at the satellite pics of the campground I first thought you were at the base of a bluff. I switched to terrain and realized everything was backwards from what I thought.
As you go to sleep at Angel peak in the video, I shall follow suit and pick back up tomorrow evening. Your travel videos are a big part of why i am going to hit the road. Staying put in the house is not doing me any good, so off I go!
Stay safe and God bless.
Great vids!! A suggestion, Shamrock, TX. Great little town with some familiar looking landmarks......
I'm Cindy from Oklahoma hope your foot heals soon love your vidoes
Amazing❤
Enjoy these longer adventures. Hi from Tassie!
Love the intro music!❤❤❤❤
I like you and Luke in Susie I like y’all so much you made me laugh and you’re so funny and entertaining and learn stuff from y’all to thank you for being on this trip Valerie Durr
