They released free DLC spirit for gen8 and doubt they would’ve done that if they planned to have a gen8 Pokemon in DLC.
i highly doubt Nintendo wants to deal with negative backlash against like they did with byleth

Still... I just hope it isn't a Gen 8 Rep. I would rather Gen 3 or Gen 5 if we were to even get a Pokémon Slot for the Fighter's Pass. Gen 8 after all the horrible stuff it pulled off, doesn't deserve a rep in my bias opinion.
If I were to chose a Pokémon Rep... I would choose Grovyle from Gen 3 and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky who is the main antagonist, who could have some unique mechanics with his Pokémon Moves alongside Pokémon Mystery Dungeon items like Seeds, Orbs, Berries, Gravelrock, Sticks etc.
@@BigFearedBalloon Why would they go back in time to pick a character lol (especially from some spinoff that not many people remember given its weak sales numbers)? It makes far more sense to pick something far more relevant right now (i.e. Gen 8). Also, you may hate Gen 8, but with it being the fastest selling Pokemon game to date, they clearly didn't get your message.
Btw - My vote is Urshifu for the Gen 8 rep.

Joker doesn't use real bullets, or even a real gun.
In Persona 5, it's explained that Joker can use a model gun with BBs like a real gun against enemies in game because the enemies believe it's real. And since the enemies believe it's real, they receive real injuries. So it isn't out of the question to assume the smash fighters think his gun/bullets are real too.

Exactly - it's a cognitive gun, in essence. I think that, firstly, the fact that Mementos was the chosen stage works well for the argument - because the gun is not a gun, due to it existing only in the form of a gun in the cognitive realm. A proof of this concept could be how Akechi uses ray guns and laser swords - this being possible due (in theory) to his cognition being very powerful, and handling these items which otherwise would be only imaginary, in the pseudo-reality of the world of cognition.

Idrc who makes it into Smash at this point, but if a character just so happens to be someone that the general populace doesn't want, I'm gonna laugh and insert "Hoes Mad." Fuck what anybody says about it.
Imagine this: A patch is released where the assist trophy for Waluigi is removed because of a "Game breaking bug". and is removed for a week. During the week, there would be easter eggs added that would reference Waluigi but they would be very hard to spot like Luigis L turning upside down and more. On the 7th day a trailer would release showing all the hints being revealed. The screen goes black and then is lit up by purple lights. A Waluigi stadium remix plays as Waluigi jumps in to frame and says: "WALUIGI TIME IS FINALLY HERE!!". I'd add Vayke out of spite, because we get an axe fighter, just not the one we asked for. Mostly because Hector is too old and Edelgard is a DLC spirit. Also, boxing Ring title: "The Teach, in 3rd person"

Tell that to the Toxic FE fans who want more of those characters put in to see other Smash fans suffer which is very insecure of them. FE fans are the cancer of the Smash Community thinking their series deserves more characters and that they are deprived of representation.

I am playing Okami at the moment and can't help thinking she'd be great in Smash!
She's one of several characters I would be very hyped for it became a DLC character.
On a side note: I still laugh at how everyone was so certain that Dante was going to be a sure thing last time

It seemed believable. I honestly knew fire emblem was coming but I honestly wanted dante as well. So I wasn't too heart broken over it. In fact I was rather happy. Happy cause fire emblem is a really good fame despite how it looks. And 2nd because people were pissed off that day. It went from 20 thousand viewers all the way to 9 thousand viewers in a matter of seconds
I laugh at how people STILL think he's coming for no good reason
My ideas for 5 possibilities
Waluigi: Literally would cause chaos and would get a laugh from the community
Dante/Vergil: same point made in the video
Dark Bowser: similar point made to geno although it could be seen as an "echo" the release of the Mario And Luigi remakes could give him a moveset that reflects those games and how bowser is normally depicted. being very boss like and having enemies like koopas and goombas do the work for him.
Captain Syrup: Wario games need more reps move set would be reminiscent of the Wario Land Games.
Master Chief or Doom Guy: hey a fps rep would be cool and seems likely
Here is my prediction, they are going to add all characters up to the 11th one and none of these will be Waluigi and everyone will be upset but then bam! He appears as a the 12th dlc character as a surprise!

Also, even tho' we could fix the problem of assist trophies... spirits are harder to do since each fighter as a spirit counted as "fighter spirits" Which cannot be obtained in a spirit fight, which normal spirits does usually, except if bought or fused or evolved

There’s a video out there that describes what Phoenix Wright’s moveset could be. Phoenix Wright is literally a fully fledged fighter in Marvel vs. Capcom. The work is already done lol

I'm predicting 3 characters:
1-Lloyd Irving (because of the missing Namco costumes)
2-Dante (because of the odd Bayonetta glitch in the last Smash bros patch)
3-Ryu Hayabusa (because of Koei Tecmo being buddy buddy with Nintendo)
You could also say that Byleth is a Koei Tecmo rep, Koei codeveloped Three Houses

My personal wishlist, in no particular order:
- Sora (Kingdom Hearts), or at the very least, another FF rep (Terra, Zidane, Squall, Bartz and Tidus would be cool options)
- Crash Bandicoot
- A new Pokémon rep from gen 8 (any of the fully evolved starters would fit, maybe Toxtricity would be cool)
- Travis Touchdown (No More Heroes)
- A new Zelda rep, preferably someone like the Hyrule Warriors version of Impa
- Finally, as my retro rep, and my most wild card pick, EARTHWORM JIM
Special mention to Rayman!
Also, as a side note, the original No More Heroes also got ports to PS3 and Xbox 360, titled No More Heroes: Hero's Paradise. There is still 3 Nintendo exclusive NMH games though, due to Travis Strikes Back on the Switch.

Edit: I am pretty sure Doomguy was deconfirmed and very similar to Master Cheif, so I decided to replace him. I want Steve in the game more, and honestly just forgot to put him up on the list.

I think doomguy is more of a mortal kombat kind of character because his entire game and style revolve around blood and gore

Mikeyboy there has been new LoZ character but like it’s more like remakes of character . Ex: BoTW link and Ganondorf with a godamn badass sword
I have a fairly wild theory. I believe that hornet from Hollow Knight is a possible candidate. A lot of people seem to comment about wanting the knight in smash, but I think hornet is more likely. Hornet has her own game coming out in the (hopefully) near future, and seeing as seeing as team cherry and Nintendo have worked together recently it would be a good PR move for both companies. It’s highly unlikely and still definitely wishful thinking though, so don’t take this too seriously.
Tl;Dr Hornet would be my pick for smash

Ngl, the only character here that I'd actually want is Sora, and that's entirely because of his appearances in Kingdom Hearts. If we get Sora, we could also get English voice acting for Cloud for victory lines when fighting against Sora, similar to Robin vs Lucina and the spacies.

@@ddd7038 I understand that Cloud's first English VA is unionized and therefore probably won't be able to, but Cloud did get a new VA in the remake, so there's always that option. And if that doesn't work, why not hire someone else who sounds like them? I personally want Kazuma Kiryu from Yakuza in smash.
He'd be mildly generic since he's a brawler like Ryu, Ken and Terry. But he'd have style changes like in his home series similar to Shulks monado arts. Slightly changing his moveset a bit, such as "Brawler mode" where he's a standard fighter, "rush mode" where he runs punches faster, like captain falcon, and "Beast mode" where he's a lot slower but a lot stronger.
The Yakuza series has fantastic music so that alone adds some cool stuff to add to smash such as "Kiryu fight theme" "Funk goes on" "Trouble shooting star" and "24 hour cinderella"
There's even a perfect stage already since the Yakuza series always has the same overworld, being Kiryu's home turf, Kamurocho.
Plus, his series, Persona and Sonic reference each other a couple times so it would be really satisfying to see Kiryu, Joker and Sonic finally battling each other.
having only barely started Yakuza Zero thanks to Xbox Game Pass...I would enjoy his inclusion. Love him as a character in general so far.

literally the entire no more heroes fandom wants him in smash. any video with travis in it, smash related or not, has a majority of comments talking about how he should be in smash.
with a new game coming out following a successful return on the switch, it seems like the stars are aligning and it would be so sick to use a beam katana and cheesy wrestling moves learned from tv in smash.
I only need 1 slot for my only wished Character; I want Tiz Arrior, from Bravely Default, And Bravely Second. The moves can all be very creative, because of the system with switching weapons in battle, and the job system allows for lots of special move options.
So, basically it got a part of Byleth and Hero, since it switches weapons almost instantly, and got more than 4 special move options.
Most A-button attacks would involve swords, staffs or spears (maybe a bow or even a gunlike weapon),
But the specials could be:
Sidewinder (Hawkeye Job Move, Neutral B. Similar to Bayonetta but with a bigger, two handed gun. Shots got a slight targeting system but otherwise would go straight forward.)
High Jump (Valkyrie Job Move, Up B. Something like Ike or Kirby's up B but more movement)
Dark Bane (Dark Fencer Job Move, Side B. Takes ~10% damage to deal around 40% damage, but this would have a special cooldown/endlag wherein it can't be spammed.)
The down B would randomly give a defensive or buffing move from other jobs, currently my favourite are:
Undo HP (Exorcist)
Heal HP a bit. (Would damage if you just used a healing item though.)
See you in Hell. (Dark Fencer)
If attacked, attacker receives 4 times damage but no knockback. Would last until attacked or attacking, in which it counts 10 seconds to deactivate. (So a 10 second combo could possibly bring the attacker to 400%)
Transience (Ninja)
Basically a counter.
Free Lunch (Swordmaster)
This would mostly be useful in games with healing items, as the effect of those would be doubled. (M tomato become 100% healing)
And some more stuff.
Since most stuff is already in in some way, it wouldn't even be impossible. Also, with BD 2 for switch it could promote the game. There's already something with square enix so talks shouldn't be a problem. I really hope there's a spot for him ^^

Minecraft is the world’s best selling game, and it feels wrong to not have him as he is a gaming icon that everyone knows.
Caeda (Fire Emblem)
While I know the Community Hates Fire Emblem Characters, I personally think Caeda should be included, as Caeda is Marth’s wife and has been fighting in Fire Emblem for a long time. She is a first party Nintendo character and is the missing addition. Mario has Peach, Link has Zelda, but Marth doesn’t have Caeda.
ProWilGames I’ve been team Steve/Alex since the first fighter pass. I’ve come up with move sets, and there’s a huge freaking Nintendo Minecraft map they worked on together. My vote for smash pass#1 long ago was King Boo. Another villain. And a bigger character. But with Kirby/jigglypuff physics. And a phase type move never seen before. Crown could have a laser blaster as a B special, and perhaps a crown move like K rule where if lost his power is draped until it respawns.

I’m against fire emblem characters completely at this point just for the soul reason there are just too many of them. I know there sre people that feel that more fire emblem should be added but I’m against it completely. And not just for the reason I listed but also their move sets are just too similar, they’re all sword characters, they tried to do something different with byleth and I commend them for that but it’s just they’re all too similar too each other compared to characters from other franchises. Look at the Zelda franchise, only 4 fighters, and it’s their second biggest ip. Just baffles me

Sure, he has a spirit, but it hasn’t be confirmed or deconfirmed that they matter when it came to the DLC. Sure, Mario has a lot of characters in Smash, but so does Pokémon and Fire Emblem, one that got a new character in the last Fighters Pass. People want Geno in smash, it’s simple, and you shouldn’t be a jerk about that.
TLDR: Relevance, Spirits, and the amount of characters a series already has hasn’t stop them in the past, so don’t be a jerk over what characters people want.

The Fat Piranha Plant Peashooter would bring some SLAPPING music to the game. And he would have a great play style! Utilising his powers from Garden Warfare mainly and PVZ 1. He has even been on a Nintendo console before (The DS).
The Fat Piranha Plant btw the 'Angry Bird' is called Red. This was shown in Angry Birds Toons.
The thing about Waluigi is that Piranha Plant already sort of fills the role of a joke Mario character. And the reactions we got for the plant were already pretty great, too.

It'd be more precise to say despite Waluigi is clearly a highlysupported character, Nintendo still don't choose him after one and another Mario new rep. There are obviously some factors for NIntendo to intentionally do so.

Dixie Kong would be a great addition, not only for the DK roster but also for the overall number of female characters.
Krystal: Same thing with Dixie. She has great potential for a moveset with her staff and the spirits from Starfox Adventure. Also she would be a fan favorite.
And, yes, I'm still rooting for Waluigi xD

Ok. Hear me put big time here. Freddy fazbear. Just think. Alt costumes: golden freddy, Fred bear, withered Freddy, toy Freddy, black light Freddy, shadow Freddy, phantom Freddy. We can have moves from fnaf world and have the other animatronics able to be switched. (Also they can look like what game the costume is dedicated to) I also feel like this would be an good moment for more fnaf hype, with the movie and new game being worked on. Of course it’s nearly impossible, but it would be so shocking. I can’t imagine what my face would look like if that happened.
