Ray Hayden here, actually demonstrating the technique I used to safely remove my kitchen cabinet doors so that I could do the fine detail painting to finish up the job.

Great video, that is exactly the same way I remove this type of hinged door. I have found to my cost that it takes forever to re adjust the hinge if you undo the other part . Congrats on VEDA Full watch and like.
I was going to change the doors in our kitchen... but after watching your last few videos... I’m gonna strip em and pain them like you have done... all the paint costs about the same as one replacement door!! - obviously way more labour intensive, but with the cash savings... new iMac baby!!

The removing melamine video had been my most profitable video prior to demonetization... once I regain that, I imagine this series will take of big - it saves hundreds, if not thousands of dollars for the home owner!

My cabinets have the same hinge and I was confused on how to removed the door. Thanks for the clarification. I'll have to find that kind of bulb to complete the job...LOL.

The doors I have painted this past year (FIL’s kitchen, two hutches, and a tv cabinet) did not have those types of cupped hinges; they were flat against the door. I still removed the doors, but I had to get a second hand to help me. I wish they had them; it would have been much easier.

any trick to putting it back on?
Because I removed them the way I did, it was easy for me to put them back on.... I hope you don't have too much difficulty with them!
