Well here's the catch! One, a company that isn't more than 5years old providing life time warranty is a bit too much to fall for. Two, the movement is really good but ultimately it's not serviceable in india, and if it goes out, that it will in a few years, you will have no option to get it fixed unless you change the movement and for that you will spend pretty much 80% of that watch cost. Three, if you go with the lifetime warranty you have to spend 12-13k and for that ammount you can get a seiko with NH35 movement and that will last you a lifetime without warranty... So choice is yours! But if you have money to spend I will also admit their dials are second to none even compared to the double of this price range, they are such beauty to look at!

They can build the same watch with seiko or citizen quartz movement and price it near 5k and it will be a hit and also will provide customers some peace of mind.

You cant service them in India as these are machine built. You give it back to Argos and they send it back to China

I think people looking into buying watches at this price point know what they want. Just like how people buy overpriced iPhones, people have brand loyalty to watches. When there are well reputed companies like Timex, Citizen and Seiko even if they offer quartz movements they offer much more heritage, piece of mind and class compared to "Argos" that noone has heard off.
They should have priced these around 8000 mark and should have targeted the entry working class.
The watches do look good, but pathetic pricing.
The movement is a Chinese movement .
The warranty is only on movement.
If you are buying you’ll see two options one with 1 year warranty
One with life time warranty usually at 12-13k
