I'm a new rider. 29 years old and bought a Rebel 1100 DCT as my first bike about six months ago. I'm about 2,000 miles in, and I absolutely love it. Just recently followed your instructional video on the bar riser installation which was a huge help. I really appreciate your videos and your attitude. You seem like a genuinely good dude. If you ever need a riding buddy in the Memphis area, let me know. Meanwhile keep the content coming. 🤙🤙 -Alex
Hi Alex!! Than you for you r comment sir! I'm glad you found the risers video helpful, you are a gentleman, please join the rebel 1100 world facebook group, we usually have a meetup in Chatanooga, would be cool if you could join us Man!
Gus wtf!! This was so fkn awesome!!! You can hear the pure excitement in your voice! So cool watching back on old track day memories and then seeing how that translates to the 1100 now…and it also makes much more sense seeing how we were riding in TN now hahah
My wife has a Rebel 500 and with your video I will buy her 1100 DCT. great content. I always doubted its turning nimbleness but your video erase all doubts. thanks
Great video! It was fun to see you have a blast! The excitement in your voice is uplifting! Makes me proud to be a rebel 1100 owner. Such a capable bike.
Thank you so much Sean!!! I often have to remind myself to not get soooo excited hahahaha and edit a whole bunch of stuff LOL thank you for always encouraging me brother!!!
The Rebel 1100 is my first motorcycle and I am a new rider. You have given my goals! 😂 Seriously it’s great seeing what the bike is capable of doing with an experienced rider.
Congratulations Tasha! You made a great decision in choosing a bike for you, the more you ride the rebel as well as other bikes, the more convinced you will be that this is probably the best bike in this class. Thank you for sharing Tasha, keep updating us!
@@ontherebel11 I finally found what I wanted to see. I been riding for years sport cruiser little dual sport. I am wanting something to replace a shadow 1100 I had few years back. It would eat up the corners. I tend to like fast corning with decent straight line.
@@shanelumsdon11112 I was torn the same way! I ended up getting the rebel 1100 instead without test riding either bike. Fast forward a year after I got the rebel, I test rode the scout, I had planned a comprehensive side by side review, 10 min into the ride, I turned back around and ended that project as I totally disliked the Indian.... I opted not to post the video because I had nothing positive to say other than the Indian looks good and didn't want to offend people. Personally, performance is important, the Indian is not in the same league as the rebel in my humble experience. I would definitely recommend that you test ride both before making a decision. I would buy the rebel 1100 any day over the Indian. Performance, comfort, features and reliability, not to mention the value for the money spent. 🍻
Awesome video of you on the R6. I am a re-entry rider and 55 years old. My confidence level is nowhere near what it was when I was 25 and crazy. I'm more of a cruiser now and the Rebel 1100 looks perfect.
Hi Michael! Thank you sir! We are alike, you may have found what you've been thinking about for years, that's what happened to me, I was away for 10 years, and this is the bike that brought me back, today I just crossed the 30,000 mile milestone and I'm 30,000 times more happy with my decision! You just have to dial the bike in for your comfort and you will be good to go! 👍
I just bought my 2021 Honda 1100 DCT Rebel on the 4th of this month. It only had 847 miles on it when I got it off the dealer's showroom floor a week and a half ago. I already love it, and I haven't rode a bike for 40 years.
Thanks for the video, proud to be owner of 1100, not only cruiser but also on track, my 1100 still stock, but planning to have crashguards and exhaust pipes
I have a 2023 1100 DCT. It's my first bike and I love it. I watched your other videos and really enjoyed it. The things you can do on this bike. I'm glad I chose this bike over so many others. One of the first thoughts when buying a bike as a first time rider was the iconic Harley or an Indian, Triumph, but I'm so glad I got the honda for so many reasons. Price point, looks, feel and weight, easy maintenance, and best transmission ever made. LOVE THE DCT! The classic cruiser/bober esthetic married with latest technology. My only wish is a bigger fuel tank but that's just me getting really picky. Love riding because there's nothing like it. Great video and look forward to more from you. You are an awesome dude. Learned so much from you. 😊
Hi John! We share the same passion! I couldn't agree more with you regarding a decision making process while researching a bike, thank you for sharing your experience with the community, your feedback will help many! In case I didn't make clear in all the videos, I love the bike! 😅
I am glad to see someone else bought the bike for their first bike. Did you start with the bike in Rain mode or did you just show the bike the respect it deserves? I am excited but it doesn't get delivered until the 10th.
I was shocked that it performed well on the race track...I am scheduled to purchase this DCT variant soon....happy you sharing a great experience for such a cruiser bike... bravo
Thank you Irwin! I wanted to illustrate how amazing the bike is! It's hard to know what the bike is capable of doing since they don't allow test rides..... I took a risk and bought the bike without seeing it.... You can imagine my relief when I realized what it's capable of doing! 🤙
Man, that was amazing! 👍 I also have a cmx 1100 DCT - my 14th bike but the 1st with automatic transmission. I am just getting used to it. Your videos really inspire me and help in customizing. Thx a lot 🙏 be safe and have a lot of joy while riding 🤗
I had my Rebel 1100 a year this month. 4000K I love it. I really enjoyed your video! I like how you were pushing the bike until peg scrapes. I never push it that far over. Awesome to watch and learn how much the bike can do.. I hope you make more videos of the Rebel .~ So many things to list good about this bike. Manual Sport for me all the time until rain. Rain Mode auto works great.
I'm blown away by how you handled the cruiser against the sports bikes on that track. I've been racing carbon framed bicycles for years and I finally decided in my advanced age of 65 to pick up the motorcycle endorsement and I started riding a Vespa GTS300 SuperTech--- but I have every intention to move up to a cruiser within a year or less. My son rides a Harley 48 1200 and he's been entertaining me by riding along as I creep up the learning curve of handling a bike 20 times as heavy and two times as fast as my lightweight carbon framed bike. I've been thinking of the 1100 DCT as my eventual cruiser and though I also saw your long term review of the Rebel with all it's stated flaws and potential issues I am still sold on that one, the 1100 DCT. Thank you. I also appreciate your enthusiasm in all of this. So you got a new follower in this Old Newbie. Cheers!
Hi Rick, thank you sir! You will not be disappointed with this bike, I recently came back from a 1,300 mile trip, and I fell in love with the bike all over again! It still makes me smile after all this time! Please don't forget to share your journey with us, we love hearing all about it! 🤙
it's an amazing review and well done sir! ! ! I'm recently considering this bike, I mostly ride in the city, sometimes go canyon have some fun, before was a 2021 ninja 650 with 4000 miles on clock, and I'm 6 inches 3 (192cm). I was really struggling about the leaning angle on this bike, worried if I can't go really hard in the corner, but thanks to your honest test and this amazing track day review, now I have my decision to finally get one if this!
As a new CMX 1100 owner still going through the giddy, new bike stage, it gives me a ridiculous smile to see how ecstatic you are over this ride after all the miles you've put on it. I do kind of feel like I might've found my forever bike and this video is like looking into my future. Track day might be debatable. lol I'll bet a LOT of guys were scratching their heads not just over the fact that there was a cruiser on the track, but that it was also blowing them out! 😂 This was a lot of fun to watch!
Hi Spryttle!! man it's good to hear from you!! Thanks for keeping in touch!! Yes i was smiling from ear to ear all alone in my helmet, no one could see my face so i was under the impression that no one could me making awkward sounds hahahhaa The KTM was chasing me around for laps as he couldn't understand how a bike like that could do what it did LOL, i still laugh every time i watch the video and remember the confused looks hahahha
You just reassured my fiancé and I that this will be each of our first bike! The Rebel was TEARING IT UP out there. Walking the street bikes in the straights and holding its own in the twisties! Great video, I bet everyone was asking "WHAT IS THAT THING?!"
Hi TJ, congratulations on making the decision to get the rebel 1100, you are going to love it, it's so much fun and so easy to ride! You are correct, many people were scratching their heads or even shaking their heads 🤣🤣 Thank you for sharing TJ! 🤙
Love this ❤️ you and birch are like brand ambassadors and should get all your Honda stuff for free 😂. Such a cool experience to see in your perspective.
So good to see you singing the praises of the Rebel 1100. Mine is my first bike and, while I have zero experience on another bike for comparison, I'm really enjoying it.
Hi Tanda! Great of you to stop by, thank you for your comment! Yes, if one keeps an open mind and understands its intended use, the rebel is one of the best motorcycles out there right now. For me at least, it is the best bike out there that serves my needs. Reliability, cruise control, DCT, low seat height, comfortable, easy to ride and own, and a ton of FUN! And guess what, all for $10,000. 🤙
You are very lucky you got this first... its so much better than many other bikes, its one of the best bikes ever made, and one of the best I've ever ridden. It might make you really dislike most other bikes you try out though, getting spoiled with a great bike.
wow!! Mr.152 good job - video production superb - really uplifting to see our bikes getting a good grade from you on the track - even compared to one of the best 600cc track bikes ever made…
Brand new (street) rider, here. the 1100T DCT is my very first bike-to-ride-on-the-street, and after seeing this performance I am so pleased with my choice. ....but I believe I'll wait a good long while before trying to ride her as hard as you did, here.
The DCT is incredibly capable, i am so impressed with the technology, let's face it, no one will abuse the bike like this in the real world! Absolutely brilliant!
Sooo Cool. I found your channel because I'm looking to get the 1100 for next season... You have convinced me that this is the bike I want. LOL The track day was the clincher.... I believe my sons have been to this track. I'm not saying I'll be on the track but, Hey you never know... LOL Thanks for a great video..
You just made my day! Thank you! This is such a great bike that I had to share my joy and hopefully help someone out! If you do decide to get one, there is an awesome community of owners on Facebook and on RUclips!!
Hi there, I'm enjoying your videos here in New Zealand. I to have a CMX 1100 DCT. I've only had it a few weeks and I'm getting it accessorized as we go into winter here
Congratulations Alan! Thank you for your kind words sir, you will love your bike the more you ride it! Once you dial it in to you, it is addictive! Literally just parked the bike from an amazing 1,300 mile trip, fell in love all over again and didn't want the trip to end! 🤙
This is just a great video. I have been wondering about how the Rebel 1100 would be on tight corners while being pushed. I commend your skills and willingness to have a track day in your everyday ride. Nice.
Very cool. I didn't know anyone would have taken a Rebel 1100cc to the track. I really enjoyed it. Just maid me to like my Rebel 1100cc even more. I got 13,000 miles on it and still love it. Really great video.
Thank you Andre! 13k that's impressive sir! I can't wait to go and ride, unfortunately it's gonna rain today, so I'm doing the next best thing, I'm watching this video instead 🤣🤣🤣
素晴らしい!! nice sharing of your experience. I am going to buy Rebel 1100 in Japan. This one can do more than I thought. Thanks!! *Currently I ride Rebel 250 which is small version. Would be nice to have 1100!!
Hi Y S! Thank you for your kind feedback, I'm happy that you found the video helpful, I wanted to try and demonstrate how much fun the rebel 1100 is! I still love my bike! 👍
Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm very happy to hear that you found the video helpful! I just hit 30,000 miles on mine and still love it! Zero issues! Congratulations brother! 🤙
Great job Gustav 👏 hope you don't mind me sharing your video with my few subscribers but I think you are able to explain the DCT and its capabilities better then I as I could never take those corners as well as you can 😂 see you on the flip side. Ride safe my friend.
Nice ride on the track, been following you a bit. , but today you really showed what this bike can do . I have one too, never have put it on sport mode scared to death of it
Thank you Jav!!! It's comforting to me to know the limits of the bike, that way we can operate the bike well within the limits with lots of room for error!
Hi George!!! this place is a hidden gem!! they have 3 separate tracks there, Summit main, Shenandoah and Jefferson. Back in my track years my favorite was Summit main.
I had an r6 track bike and did a wuite a few days. I. Looking st a rebek now because it's a modern cruiser that doesn't handle and weigh like a bus. You sold me! Im buying one and yes, I'll take it to the track, too!
Music to my ears, we have much in common and you would totally understand why i felt compelled to do such a video! I was so worried that i would find the Rebel boring and sluggish.... only to be pleasantly surprised by how much fun it is, i'm up to 34,000 miles right now and still smile from ear to ear after a spirited ride, and love the chilled ride when i just want to cruise slowly! I'm so happy to hear that you found it helpful bro! 🍻
I really love this bike. watching you do these videos of the rebel 1100t dct is amazing. i really want one. 11k is steep for me. thats going to take a long time to save but hopefully one day i will be a proud owner of one
Hi Paske! I highly recommend the rebel 1100 DCT, I'm they they have improved the technology from 10 years ago. Thank you for sharing your experience, it's comforting to know that the DCT has lasted that long!
@@ontherebel11 i had the first gen. and second gen. DCT, what was already a big improvement. Yesterday i was at the Honda dealer, to look if the riding position was something for me after those VFR1200F's...... i don't know.....need a testride to make a dicision. But there was no Rebel1100 DCT for the moment. I got to wait till the Honda testdrive tour will come to his store....to be continued ;) Btw: nice video, your joy and enthusiasm dripping of the screen (y)
Mad skills homie! I knew you weren't a regular rider like the rest of us when I first stumbled upon your video going thru the twisties demonstrating the dct. I was sold after that! Awesome video as always man. I was just actually checking out the ktm 890 duke specs and am betting that's what that bike was. Even lighter and more powerful than the rebel but no dct 😁
Hi James! I have the 2021 model as well!! As you've probably gathered I love my bike! If you would like a detailed review with all the possible issues you may run into, i recently posted a long term review video, it is quite long but covers quite a bit from my ownership experience, you might find it helpful before you make you decision. Please reach out if you have any questions that weren't covered brother.
Did I hear someone say trail breaking? Excellent content! Well done. I suspected you had some advanced riding experience after watching the riding section of your 6,500 mile update. I’ve been looking at cruisers with forward controls because of an injury that I’m still recovering from that has reduced my knee flexion significantly. I would likely need to install forward controls (De Pretto) if I go with the CMX 1100. I’m also looking at the X Diavel, and the Triumph Rocket 3 GT. I initially discounted the Rebel 1100 because of the hp specs, and the looks. Then I realized that the torque it’s making, and the weight, is comparable to my Yamaha FJ09, and the 0 to 60 time is pretty damn good. I also now find the DCT appealing - you have definitely opened up my perception to the benefits of it, especially with using the paddle shifters in manual mode. The looks have grown on me, and I love the murdered out black on black on black look. I think the new 1100T looks great. I’ve always liked the look of baggers, but never had considered one because of the lack of handling performance. You have some of the best content on RUclips with showing how spirited you can ride the CMX 1100 (and in general). I also found a video of a guy in France getting after it, but I couldn’t understand anything he was saying, lol. I found your channel from someone mentioning you in a thread on advrider. Too bad Honda couldn’t figure out how to engineer an even better lean angle. I guess that’s just the nature of a bike with such low seat height. It looked like you were hanging off the seat pretty well on the track, but it still sounded like you were scraping those poor pegs on just about every turn. Keep up the good work!
Thank you!!! I’m sorry to hear about your injury, I hope you make a full recovery brother, I’ve had a couple myself. What motivated me to make such a video is the questions that I had during the research phase that you are in, I stumbled upon the DCT while researching bikes and became intrigued by the technology so I spent countless hours trying to learn everything about it but no one had addressed/demonstrated what I really wanted to know, is the bike fun in the twisties? Even though I want to tour, I also want to have a little fun, but when I’m done with the fun I want to go back to being comfortable hahahaha. (getting old) After hundreds of hours of research and reflection, I made the decision to try DCT, I made a deal with myself that if I don’t like it, I will trade it in for something else, a loss I was willing to accept at that time. Once I found comfort in being able to eat a small loss and get a different bike, I was ready. I was expecting the rebel to be slow, poor handling and boring… I’m just being honest. I had no reference. So you can imagine the joy I felt once I rode it the first time and realized it’s potential, I had to share it with others. Like you I wasn’t a fan of the looks … but when I saw it in person, it looks so much better than in pictures, it muscular yet refined, it is odd, different, unique and attractive, there’s something there that is intangible. But it isn’t a Diavel nor a Moto Guzzi, or MV Agusta, but it is a third of the price however. The value is unbeatable, the adaptability is impressive, the functionality just works, and it is still FUN for a recovering track junkie after 2 years of ownership and 22,000 miles. You are right about scraping pegs, but keep in mind that the lean angle is the best in the sport cruiser class.
@@ontherebel11 Thanks, brother. It’s been over two years since I’ve ridden, and I’m going through withdrawals. Been geeking out on motorcycle research, and looking forward to getting back on a bike. I also love the versatility of a bike being comfortable enough for distance and competent enough to push it in the curves. Most of my bikes have been in the sport touring category, leaning a bit more on the sport side. Good power, upright riding position (or close to upright), luggage, and a good windscreen. You’ve definitely illustrated that the CMX 1100 is versatile. “Sport Tourer Cruiser Hooligan” :)
I know you tried automatic mode on the track for the purposes of your content, because you’ve already said in past videos that manual mode is the way to go for full control in the twisties, but I had to smile when you quickly realized that it was a bad idea, and were looking for the first opportunity to switch it back to manual. Btw, XDiavel’s lean angle is 40 degrees and Honda states 34 degrees for the Rebel 1100. Both are pretty good for “cruisers”. Triumph doesn't disclose the lean angle on the Rocket 3 GT, but I suspect it’s still better than most Harleys and Indians.
@@SuperChonus WOW!! I can't believe you were able to notice my Discomfort, I was very anxious and felt so out of control, i couldn't wait to get it into manual!!!! I wanted to make sure that people have a visual of why i am not a fan of riding in a spirited fashion while in auto, it will shift at wrong times, the software will never be able to predict every possible situation and have the bike in the right gear. There are situations where i would take the bike to the rev limiter between corners, but need to stay in that gear while negotiating the next set of corners, the software will never be able to se that based on the parameters it is monitoring: Speed, rpm, throttle position, G load etc. I'm not even gonna mention trail braking and other riding techniques. I'm not criticizing, just illustrating the Auto operating parameters so we can play within them. Not gonna lie, i secretly lust for the Diavel..... The Rocket 3 is very impressive, but i am way too small for it. Thank you for making this thread so educational for others that are researching.
@@SuperChonus Not sure if i had mentioned this, but i took 10 years off from bikes, the DCT is what brought me back to riding! What i would really like to try is the NT1100 DCT, that's a touring machine i'd like to try, i would have to lower it for sure.
I ride a 02 955i as one my regulars my newist bike is 03 oldest 52 rode my girls manual 1100 an was impressed the sport bike cruiser chucked her on back an hit the windies an it increased her confidence once she new her bike was very capable, on a rd she rides alot she caught a vrod i think on her own sat behind for bit then got board an passed....he tried to keep up but gave up,my girl only been riding road for 2 or 3 years now an is eyeing drag strip where they also kicking ass
Great video, prefaced by wise warnings to the potentially incautious. But I haven't scraped metal off footrests (and still stayed on the bike) since a Meriden Tiger in 1978, and am sure not about to attempt it on my cherished new 1100 DCT. I share your joy in the bike!
@ontherebel11 the Rebel is leaving the other riders on sports bikes in fear!! Great videos! This will be my next my 1st bike soon: a 2023 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT!
This just confirmed that this is my next and last bike. It does absolutely everything. Thank you for putting this through it's paces. it's all I'm ever going to do. :)
Hi John, thank you for your feedback sir, I'm happy we feel the same way! I just got back from a 2,000 mile 12 day trip, this bike absolutely can do it all! 29,000 miles so far and I'm still in love with it! 👍
Hi Gus, thanks for your terrific videos. I live in Australia and have the 1100 DCT. I haven't done any long trips or touring yet but am thinking about it. I would like to see your ideas about carrying spare fuel on your trips as I may need to consider this. Love your videos, love the DCT. Keep up the good work. Cheers.
Hi Andrew! Thank you for your kind words of encouragement brother! BTW, I love touring with the rebel, once you get the personal comfort dialed in, you can hit the road and keep going! I take a fuel bottle with me when I'm touring, the saddlebags I use have a molle attachment system that I attach a bottle carrier to, you can add more than one if needed, here is what I'm using ruclips.net/video/OB2BN5KR8VI/видео.html Go to 7:38 if the link doesn't take you there 🤙
I have been studying the Rebel 1100. I am wanting to get into riding for the first time ever and I'm just about to turn 55 OMG! I can't believe I'm even saying that but anyways I've stayed away from riding cause I'm so short (5'2") and of course my sons are over 6ft. 🤷🏾♀️ but they really would like mom to join in on the fun and actually I'm excited to just nervous that because of my height would I be able to handle a bike. THEN!!!! I see a bike that I might actually be able to touch the ground. So thanks for the video and rest assured I won't be driving it like I stole it well at least not right away lol.

Very nice track review with the DCT. How well does the DCT work in slow and short maneuvers? Stop and go traffic lines, evasive handling, starting off on a steep incline and the like.
Thank you Aeasus, the DCT is so convenient in traffic, it excels in any condition, it is faster in evasive maneuvers because the downshifting is instantaneous relative to pulling a clutch and changing gears with your foot, and so easy in steep inclines, piece of cake and no stress whatsoever!! Regarding it's use in slow maneuvers, please watch this demonstration, it might be helpful ruclips.net/user/shortspR38hy0Kj18?feature=share
Bonne chance mon ami
Thank you Greg! i would not recommend adding risers in the way that i did, i stacked 2 inch risers over 4 inch risers. As a disclaimer i can't recommend it. My recommendation is to install Helibars www.helibars.com/honda/honda-rebel-1100-cmx1100-standard-horizon-adjustable-handlebars/?srsltid=AfmBOopHtgmhWFv-80HxLfraZRGiWWgukb-RpliHXdCxHQeZwZB1TT0i You'll do it the right way and get the desired outcome, i wish they were available when the bike first came out... oh well
Coming from a sports bike myself. Getting older and wanting something a little more comfortable. Have wondered how it would handle at spped in the turns and you answered my questions. Thank you. Was really convmcerned about the lean angle and scraping the pegs. Is there anything to be done about that? Not that I mind some scrapes :)
We have a similar background! I was motivated to make this video for people like us that were considering the bike but worried about it being boring, i wish i had seen a video like this while i was researching, it would have made my decision a lot easier! Regarding the pegs, some owners have installed longer rear suspension which increased the lean angle a little bit, but for me it has plenty of lean angle for my riding style, i've done over 30,000 miles on mine and i've never wished for more lean angle on the street in that time tbh, i did on the track but this is not a track bike LOL
Hi Tim, it's hard for me to put a number on it as I wasn't timing my laps. But it is slower while in automatic, plus distracting since I was anxious about it shifting at the wrong time which in turn makes one lose confidence, not a good thing if you are riding at the limits of the bike. Sometimes it shifted similar to what I would have shifted, while other times it didn't... For the record, the automatic was never intended to be ridden in this fashion, this was an exaggerated demonstration of the capabilities / limitations of DCT. 🤙
I figured I would ask you this since this is the only video on RUclips of the Honda rebel on a track. A RUclipsr by the name of Moore Mafia (known for making custom bikes and Ecu) ,l. Would you ever consider flashing your Rebel and taking it to the track again. I results he showed are phenomenal and it would be great to see someone flash their ecu and tracking it.
Hi there! Great question! I don't think I'll ever flash mine tbh, I'm happy with it as it is plus it will void the warranty... My track bike on the other hand I did flash it and it made a huge difference in terms of throttle response, but those days are over for me. 🤙
Hi Gus, I have some news. Two days ago has arrived longer seat. I have ordered it from Aliexpress and in three weeks it has arrived. I have installed it on bike and i feel much more comfortable than with stock seat. Now I do not have feeling, that I am pushed into the tank. On Sunday I hope I will test it on a short trip and will let you know the result. Have a Nice day
Hi Miro! Man that's great news! Congratulations brother, I'm so happy that it worked well for you! Please update us after you get a chance to use it for a few hundred miles! It's a great option for people to consider! 🤙
Thank you Zantar! Inventory has significantly improved in 2023 compared to the previous 2 years, check the surrounding states, i'm sure you'll find one!
I just got at dct hood video enjoy watching it and which crash bars do you prefer and does the factor windshield do you think it is better than off market?
Thank you very much! These are the crash bars I have ruclips.net/video/ZRQFbUU_tmI/видео.html Yes I prefer the batwing to anything else tbh, I really like the look of it 😊
@@ontherebel11 ti ringrazio, sei sempre preciso nelle spiegazioni.

Hi Alex!! Than you for you r comment sir! I'm glad you found the risers video helpful, you are a gentleman, please join the rebel 1100 world facebook group, we usually have a meetup in Chatanooga, would be cool if you could join us Man!
WOW, cool !!!! You are riding a really special bike.
Gus wtf!! This was so fkn awesome!!! You can hear the pure excitement in your voice! So cool watching back on old track day memories and then seeing how that translates to the 1100 now…and it also makes much more sense seeing how we were riding in TN now hahah
Thank you Mike!!! 🙏I'm easily excitable 😅😅 but you already know that. 🤣🤣

@@shanelumsdon11112 Hi Shane, if cornering is what you love, the rebel 1100 will keep you smiling brother!
@@ontherebel11 I'm really torn between it and the scout
That to me looks like a KTM 1290 Super Duke. Such a fun video, thanks for sharing!
I am also leaning towards that, he converted the bike to a track bike and removed all the stickers. Thank you for your kind words! 🙏

In case I didn't make clear in all the videos, I love the bike! 😅
I am glad to see someone else bought the bike for their first bike. Did you start with the bike in Rain mode or did you just show the bike the respect it deserves? I am excited but it doesn't get delivered until the 10th.
You can get fuel tank add ONS that give it a cool look
I was shocked that it performed well on the race track...I am scheduled to purchase this DCT variant soon....happy you sharing a great experience for such a cruiser bike... bravo

Fantastic to see how good you and the Rebel is together...
Thank you Tor! The rebel is fantastic man! 👌
Thank you very much for your kind words, i'm happy to hear that the video was helpful!!!
As a new CMX 1100 owner still going through the giddy, new bike stage, it gives me a ridiculous smile to see how ecstatic you are over this ride after all the miles you've put on it. I do kind of feel like I might've found my forever bike and this video is like looking into my future. Track day might be debatable. lol

(getting old)
After hundreds of hours of research and reflection, I made the decision to try DCT, I made a deal with myself that if I don’t like it, I will trade it in for something else, a loss I was willing to accept at that time.
Just woke up on this, thanks so much for the vid \m/
Good morning Brother! I hope you have a great day Grubdush!
All i can say is Keep it Up man
Thank you! 🤙
Hi Mike!! love the story bro! my favorite part is when she got bored and passed the vrod LOL
Great video, prefaced by wise warnings to the potentially incautious. But I haven't scraped metal off footrests (and still stayed on the bike) since a Meriden Tiger in 1978, and am sure not about to attempt it on my cherished new 1100 DCT. I share your joy in the bike!
Thank you M2 Menuiserie, love the way you worded that! It is such a joy!!!
Awesome Video!
Thank you Anthony!
Very cool. Looks like fun!
Thank you! It was so much fun! 😅
@ontherebel11 the Rebel is leaving the other riders on sports bikes in fear!! Great videos! This will be my next my 1st bike soon: a 2023 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT!
Yes it was making people scratch their heads! 🤣🤣
Congratulations, you made an excellent choice! 🤙
@@ontherebel11I loving my 2023 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT, thank you for all your videos! 🥇
@@OnlyTheStrongSurvive416 I'm so happy to hear that! Congratulations! I have 31,000 miles on mine and still love it so much! 🍻
I take a fuel bottle with me when I'm touring, the saddlebags I use have a molle attachment system that I attach a bottle carrier to, you can add more than one if needed, here is what I'm using ruclips.net/video/OB2BN5KR8VI/видео.html

It's so good to hear from you! Thank you for commenting! This subject is near and dear to me! This bike is ideal for shorter riders like us, I urge you to join the Honda rebel 1100 world group on Facebook, you will meet thousands of owners in exactly the same situation you are in, many are much shorter than you! Heck a friend of mine is 4'11 and rides a rebel 1100 manual! Get this, she did 2 cross country trips all alone! From the east coast to the west coast and back again! She made us so proud! Please join us in the Facebook group, you will meet the nicest people there that have taken your journey! Don't hesitate to reach out to me and ask me anything you want, I am passionate about helping!
Excellent video!
Thank you very much sir! 🙏
Love this Video !
Thank you brother! It was so much fun! 😅
loved this
I'm happy to hear that Terry, thank you for your feedback brother! 🙏
I LOVE this, thank you!! When are we doing a Summit Point Rebel track day?!? 😁
🤣🤣🤣 The LEGEND is here?!! All you have to do is point! BTW, you will absolutely love it!
I second the Summit Point Rebel 1100 day
Very nice track review with the DCT.
You're the man Gus!
Thank you Nathan!! 🙏
Bonjour monsieur,
Bonne chance mon ami
Nice change 👌 ride on brother.
Thank you RedHawk1, appreciate it brother!!!
Great review and great ride! Where did you find the 6 inch risers? I have short arms like you do! Thanks in advance.
Thank you Greg! i would not recommend adding risers in the way that i did, i stacked 2 inch risers over 4 inch risers. As a disclaimer i can't recommend it. My recommendation is to install Helibars www.helibars.com/honda/honda-rebel-1100-cmx1100-standard-horizon-adjustable-handlebars/?srsltid=AfmBOopHtgmhWFv-80HxLfraZRGiWWgukb-RpliHXdCxHQeZwZB1TT0i
You'll do it the right way and get the desired outcome, i wish they were available when the bike first came out... oh well
here in colorado do use the paddle shift mode in the mountain twisties
Hi Juan!! That is ideal my friend, well done!!
So what is the difference in track time between DCT, DCT with paddle shifters, or manual???
Hi Tim, it's hard for me to put a number on it as I wasn't timing my laps. But it is slower while in automatic, plus distracting since I was anxious about it shifting at the wrong time which in turn makes one lose confidence, not a good thing if you are riding at the limits of the bike. Sometimes it shifted similar to what I would have shifted, while other times it didn't... For the record, the automatic was never intended to be ridden in this fashion, this was an exaggerated demonstration of the capabilities / limitations of DCT. 🤙
Nice job 👍
Thank you Manuel! 🙏
Looks fun AF!
It sure is man! 🤙
That was a joy to watch.
Thank you Susan!!!!

Awesome video. I want a rebel so bad but I can’t find a Manual one. I live in Maryland and it seems like there’s none.

These are the crash bars I have ruclips.net/video/ZRQFbUU_tmI/видео.html
Yes I prefer the batwing to anything else tbh, I really like the look of it 😊

@@ontherebel11 ti ringrazio, sei sempre preciso nelle spiegazioni.
@@ontherebel11 ti ringrazio. Io peso 75 kg. Sicuramente farò come mi hai detto tu.
