Thanks for the tips! Here is one for keeping warping to a minimum for water coloring, wet the back side of the watercolor paper also. It warps because one side is dry. I learned this from my son, he does watercolor paintings and literally puts his large pieces of paper into a bathtub full of water before taping them to his board. Hope this helps someone.

I’m a watercolour artist. Here’s a couple of other things that help with paper warping….tape your paper down on all 4 sides with painters tape. If you still have warping, you can iron the paper flat. Check out the Frugal Crafter’s channel for a short video on how to do it. She just posted it about a week ago.

I have used Dollar Tree napkins for collage, their nail art embellishments for shaker cards, silicone hot pads for my glue gun, hair bobbin pins to embellish as journal clips, kids toys to use with a Gelli plate, use eye shadow as pastels. I use their faux Cricut mat for my stamping platform to hold my paper. Always ask for their empty small display boxes. They work great for stamp and die storage

Here's my tip. Save your craft garbage. The plastic packaging is a pallet, and the cardboard adds definition to die cuts. Cut the image once with paper and once in garbage cardboard. Adhere together, run a black sharpie over the edges. Bam!
Another is to buy used. Thrift stores and Creative Reuse Centers are an artists best friend.

I don't remember where I got this but it works. If you have something that's got adhesive on it but you don't want it to stick to anything, (like these stencils) cover the sticky area with corn starch, and then brush the excess off with a soft brush. Corn starch makes a mess, so do this over the sink or put down some plastic or something.

My brother-in-law told me that advertisers paid $7 million per 30 seconds of ad time. There was an ad or two against antisemitism. And then the ultimate - - there was an ad promoting Jesus. And of course, the ultimate was the absence of sleepy joe. I thought the political ad by joe kennedy was interesting. I wonder if he/his family paid $7 million?

Even though p, the other night, I stopped by the DT closest to me to see if they had any valentine twine. Which they didn’t, but that’s beside the point. They are the smaller ones and the bristles are brown kind of like the expensive OG brushes from picket fence...but they are a good enough option for someone to check out too see if they like them or not...(the actual brush size is about a quarter tall and nickel or dime wide) sometimes they even have the brushes that are round and the size is slightly bigger than a pencil eraser. Put the alcohol in a spray bottle or even the glass bottle in your video and pull the tip and the inside ink cylinder and put it in the alcohol. If you use essential oils and use a bottle up, the dropper top can be pulled out, the cleaned out bottle filled with alcohal, and its an easy dropper bottle.
If you color your own paste, or make diy glitter or mica paste, empty 1/4 cup spice jars work well. Mine are glass, but I assume plastic would work well. Just use it up within a couple weeks, depending on your base product.

I go there all the time, I like so many items from the craft area and other departments. I have not thought of the magnifier sheet. And your Dollartree has much more things than mine 😢. Who knows, in a few weeks?? Thanks for sharing👍

I love your cost saving videos! I have bought many supplies from Dollar Tree... sequins for shaker cards, bakers twine, poster board, 8.5x11" glitter card stock (love these - no shedding glitter and die cuts well). I definitely need to check out the dropper bottles and mirror card stock! Thank you for another great video! ❤❤👍👍😊😊

Can you give tips /hints about what aisle or department or area of Dollar Tree you find these things? Like the magnifying sheet and the towels? Where to look?
