True firearm innovation is happening at home, and this video is indicative of that.
Competition should be designed to inspire innovation and that's just what happened with Handgun Brutality 2023 - Booligan Shooting Sports designed a gun from the top down to specifically fit into our Compact Carry Division but to perform like, or better than, a full size service pistol.
In this video we discuss the design and shoot this one of a kind unique pistol.

Thanks for inviting me out and challenging me to “think inside the box”! This was a ton of fun and while I’m bummed I didn’t run this actual gun in the full competition, I’m glad that I was able to bring it out and let you guys play around with it on the range! It’ll definitely get a few of the kinks worked out and you’ll see it again at another match!
One of the most aesthetically pleasing guns i have ever seen and i love the long tail!
Nice work dude! Been following your designs for over a decade since you were exclusively doing airsoft stuff and it's cool as hell to see you on inrange. Well done.
Put a built in flashlight where the tungsten weights are and I would buy one for CCW.
Awesome to see you here! You're stuff is awesome, and is a large part of the reason I got into printing
All of this stuff is kindasorta cool in a geeky way, but in the bigger picture it all just seems gross. It's gaming the game, when the whole point of these events is gaining real-world skills with real-world weapons. Otherwise it's all kind of 'masturbatorial'. Too many people are too mind-dominant, such that the game becomes 'hacking' everything, and that agenda doesn't seem to have the wisdom to stop when it comes to hacking the spirit of why any of this stuff exists in the first place. Instead of grown men developing a real skill-set for a society that is collapsing and going to hell, it becomes more and more like a bunch of kiddult geeks trying to see who's best at gaming and hacking the goings-on with clever little tricks. It's a loss of the plot. It's sad to see. We have SERIOUS problems wrecking society at this point, and the true spirit of the 2A is to rely on that failsafe to rectify things the hard way, if necessary. Instead we have 'boys with toys' who are merely fiddling while Rome burns.
this is why we need more manufacturing tools like 3d printers in the market. Innovation like this shows how useful they really are
The printers are becoming more prolific, the files are getting more refined, and the community is growing. Can't stop the signal.
The rebel forces opposing the military dictatorship in Myanmar are mostly armed with 3d printed firearms.
Not only is that a terrific designer and hacker, but what a terrific presenter! Excellent on camera, great explanation, enthusiasm comes through so well. 👍

Not the collaboration I was expecting but it's great to see Booligan get some more exposure, love his content!
The dimensions of the box are not unreasonable, but should also address grip thickness (the most significant challenge for carry).
Grip length is the more important issue, width is more for comfort.
@@MandoWookie Disagree. Depends how you carry. In Appendix Carry width causes more printing than grip length. With a good holster keeping the grip tight to your abdomen the grip just runs parallel to your body and extra length doesn’t really change printing, as long as it’s still between your hip bones. Extra width is what creates the very noticeable protruding “shelf” that makes appendix carry print.
@@sethrich5998 without going to a single stack you really can’t get any thinner, at least not enough to make a difference.. another 1/8th of an inch or so is insignificant.
I agree about keeping the grip tight against your body. A P365 Macro conceals just fine under all but the lightest clothes. My 1911A2 would be hard to conceal no matter how short its grip was.
@@srooster4410 A slim double stack is about 1” compared to 1.3”, that’s 30% more. Not insignificant and absolutely can make a difference.
Watched BSS for years, great to see a collaboration
🔥 Booligan has an awesome collection
Speaking of it being a '20 minutes into the future' gun, the movie version would need to have lasers emitting from the position of those weights
Lasers or microdot dispensers 😂
Honestly if you bring the block down so you distort the handgun shape and integrate a flashlight
Bringing back the ingenuity of IPSC Modified division. Maximize performance in a reasonably compact form factor. That’s the future of practical defensive and competition pistols
Not a crossover I was expecting, but I'm pleasantly surprised.
Booligan innovating more than Glock has in decades.
such a huge loss for glock and boom for open source freedom seekers
Glock's target market is LE and military not civilian. Those markets want shit that works and doesn't break easily. They don't care about wizzbang features and ergonomics.
- Nice beaver!
- Yes, I 3D printed it myself!
sorry, I had to, came here straight from "Police Squad"/"Naked gun" scenes binge
sick build. booligan you did it again
The extended beaver tail solves my only major problem with that optic. I hated how it hung off the back. I personally would not use it as the plate as well, but I understand he had to fit in the box. Replace the weights with a intergrated light/laser unit, and I think there is a real viable and marketable handgun here. If I had the cash, I would be very interested in building my own of one of these.
This is really awesome to see. I love the concept of "following the letter of the rules, but abusing the spirit." No innovation without restrictions.
excellent design, I like that he didn't let chasing an aesthetic compromise functionality
Thank you for all the interesting content that you upload. The studies on the firearms philosophy are the most interesting to me.
The extended beavertail with the Leupold looks cleeeeeeeeeeean
Gamers gonna game. Love it, honestly I just love the "thinking outside the box" to fit the box. Looks pretty sweet on top of it too.
Love innovation like this, thanks for bringing this to light.
Yes! Innovation comes from enthusiasm for the hobby.
What an interesting design! Thanks for showing this
The crossover episode I never knew I wanted until it happened.
Great video. Thanks guys. Stay safe...
Love that design. If I could buy that frame I would do it in a heartbeat.
That is neat! Cool innovation and implementation.
Thats pretty cool! Happy to see you guys collaborating together, would love to see more content together!
Nice job! The aesthetics are cool, reminds me of the Steyr S series. I love my Steyr S40!
This design may actually influence the future... I tip my hat to this gentleman...
Very interesting. Thanks for the video.
I love these innovative designs
Based Booligan.
Im bringing my SG22 to the 2023 GMM this Saturday.
Awesome!
Well this is cool! Kudos for raising awareness of this efforts
That's just awesome in all sorts of ways!
This is great content. Intelligent and focused. Great work, all of 'yall. I'm inspired to get out and participate!
Love this piece!
Love the innovation.
Booligan needs tungsten to live! Tungggggsstteeeennnnn.
It’s like Mandalorians and beskar. I need it.

Blessed Wolfram: Heavier than God's thoughts on Gehenna, great for firearms and tool use
The crazy way of integrating the Leupold sight literally as a structural part is so cool. Love to see this innovation!
blessed crossover. Get Booligan back for more please!
That is awesome
Cool stuff, very thoughtful.
A perfect use case for printing
Thanks for representing the great state of Utah booligan
Very interesting !
Very cool.
I would love to see a KE arms serialized version of this.
Cool as hell!
Ha, love the Imperial grip texture
Death Star vibes are always my thing.
I was really hoping the weights under the barrel were a laser/light and battery combo.
That’s a fucking awesome little gun
The new super heros are tech cats designing firearms!
That’s cool.
i love it
Thanks for showcasing some 3Dprinted guns on your channel
Maybe a kf5 or a fgc or stingray next
Or the orca an entirely 3D printed AR
I always thought the Deltapoint Micro was a neat idea, that looked off-putting aesthetically. But the beaver tail really makes it look like it belongs there.
Oh hey! It’s that dude who made the e Aliens gun! So cool!
Looks a lot like the guns used in the anime Armitage III. Cool!
Excellent content, gentlemen. As I sit here farting around with my wwsd, I am definitely entertained. Great timing!
Can’t wait for the stl
Cool
Pretty cool. Personally, I've found in shooting USPSA with and without muzzle lights (even with tungsten batteries), that adding weight beneath the muzzle yields subjectively worse return to zero/muzzle dip. I've found that adding weight to the grip with heavy backstraps and/or magwells provides much better performance. Still, this is super innovative. Using the DP Micro in lieu of a backplate is such a cool idea.
YEESS!!
huuuuh. I was wondering what that end bit was all about. Basically just stick a weight there. Simple solution. Ah those compensating holes are well slick as well. Cheers InRange
Finally a a good crossover
Dang that's cool, I'd add a gas pedal and a pic rail under the weight block.
This was so interesting I didn't notice Karl's shirt until right at the end.
Again thank you for posting 3D printed firearms.
That's a cool
Neat
Make a gun that fills the entire box, like it's a brick with a thumbhole and trigger guard hole in it.
My Block 26 design is actually close to that and almost entirely unshootable, lol
That is RAD!!!!
using a better mouse trap to build a better mouse in a good way imo. better shooting carry pistol? yes please!
Thanks again gentlemen
It looks like it should have a taser underneath the barrel/ front of the frame.
That’s the magic of 3D printing. You can tweak the design to fit whatever you want!
Hello InRange. Long time no see.
What filament/material was this printed with???
Nice shirt.
🤘😁🤘
I can make a flashlight function and still have a bunch of tungsten weights in there
Oddball question for you Karl, but what style of head-wrap is that and where can I get one? Looks too thin to be a shemagh (and I've already got a few), and it'd be nice to have a longer head-scarf to tie around my head when I'm outdoors.
Can't get this one anymore, it's my favorite - but the closest equivalent is the Spec-Ops Recon Wrap.
@@InrangeTv Cool, thanks for the info, my dude. I'll look into that alternate brand.
dang
Got slide bite from a ppk. Almost had to get stitches.
When is Remote Brutality 2023?
Nice video and a really interesting ideas for a pistol
But I heard a flashlight has to work to be legal to be on a pistol
I don't shoot your style "Shooting Sport"
But I took a SureFire Light just for the body
I used a simple headlamp that ran off of a 2032 battery
I also added a lot of lead to fill the body of the SureFire light anywhere not needed for the head lamp parts
Resulting in a pistol mounted light that worked , but also added close to a pound to the pistol
But not in the pistol
I need that Utah hat! Where can I get one?
Tungsten weight! From the first look I thought they were LEDs
Oooo that power loss z axis layer line 😂
Luckily it’s just a tiny bit of z banding. No affect on strength, just a little bit of ugly.
@@booliganshootingsports well done sir. Still an amazing job! Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Iam curious if he can build big hole in front for more heavy weaights to fit, those 3 small holes not seems much to me.
Also why using tungsten if you can use cheap lead?
Price?
Tungsten is higher density than lead. The size was used because it’s a universally available item. You can definitely use lead instead, but in the limited space, tungsten is the better option.
It may not look like much but there’s about 4 oz of tungsten up there.
@@booliganshootingsports Thx a lot!
*cuts glock short* - "dEsiGn!"
I mean, there is more to it than just cutting it. The unique muzzle device, integrated red dot, counterweight, 3d printed body, and a different slide. It's a competition gun built to work around the restrictions of the division.
So just get a 43 add a red dot thing and boom accurate
Reminds me a lot of the P2016 from Titanfall 2.
Check out Booligan's other designs if you want to see something from Titanfall
@@Stout936 I've seen the RE-45 inspired one lol
I'm already a machinist...now I just need a 3d printer
Hey Karl! Love your stuff, love the Booligan guys too!
Hope all goes well with the shitstorm people are trying to drag your name through, I'll be here regardless. Keep making incredible content! ❤
I feel you can make a tongue twister out of the title. XD
Why is no one addressing the real issues!?!? Like where do I get a shirt with a scooting unicorn😂😂😂
11 minutes in....can we say Blade runner!
With the slide parallel to the box kinda hurts.
This gun is very Firefly
If you want to laugh look up big chungus Glock. I would say, having shot a big chungus it is hilarious. And chunky. Very close to a Desert eagle. In size and weight. But as a 9mm and fairly flat shooting. Of course built with zev trigger and loaded with tungsten weighs it doesn't move really. Squirting out guns is a Good time for the folks that take care and time to do it well
It’s funny because the Chungus started as a joke, but turned into a hell of a gun in the end.
@@booliganshootingsports gets a lot of laughs and what the hells at the range. And then they try it so they can say they shot a "printed gun" and then you can see them thinking "what they hell have i been doing my whole life paying for custom builds"
Make a gun that height and length fits in the box and is two feet wide.
