His voice is so angelic, it’s beautiful
I know.... I could fall asleep to it... ❣
Yes I agree , i think his voice and he is beautiful. Ive been into Robert Smith ever since I was 8 years old...43 now. A very long time.
So must be you Kate ❤( also a veteran fan )
Robert is one of the most attractive people I’ve ever seen. His mannerisms, humor, expressions, way of speech. He has a delicately sensual way about him, you can hear it in his music too. Total heart throb!
Robert face when she says "gloomy"
😂😂
Robert is naturally funny. This is one of things that makes him so charming.
Always articulate, always gentle in his speech. Long live Robert Smith 😌
Hes very shy. He doesnt give eye contact well. Hes lovely.
Robert's voice is like ASMR. He's super adorable.
I searched this Robert Smith interview only for his calming voice. It really is like asmr😁
His voice is like soft velvet
Yeah! But he knows when to shout too. There's an old interview of him on a roundabount and he yells at a screaming kid. I bloody laughed throughout the video
@@askingforthemoon yeah, it was pretty funny :))
I love the cure and Robert smith is a musical genius
He Is so adorable, like a shy puppie attitude...
I love Robert Smith 🖤🖤🖤
His hair is it's own personality 🤣 I really want to touch it
I can listen to this for a billion hours
Omg I love him so much🖤🖤🖤
I know right. Such a beautiful person.
She’s a good interviewer!
Had this on VHS decades ago, but never saw this unedited version. Thank you for sharing! BTW I LOVE his voice. SWOOOOON :)
He mentions touring Texas and this was the first time I saw them and was blown away! This was there "Disintegration" tour. I was 15yrs. Thanks for taking me mom. Best band ever. ♥️🌞🙌
The Cure played Bronco Bowl in 1986. I saw the Cure in 1989 as well. Starplex. Brilliant. Perfect moment.
The Prayer Tour. Not the Disintegration Tour.
This is so sweet, I'm just getting into The Cure and I'm 14
Right with ya - saw them at Duke University, NC for the same tour. My dad drove me and four other friends - all bedecked in black, teased hair and makeup and, patiently waited for the whole show in the parking lot to drive us back to Winston-Salem. Thanks Dad, love you for doing that. 🖤
I'm sure I've read this interview but never seen/heard it. Good to have an interviewer challenging Robert, makes for a interesting conversation. Thanks for uploading.
Thank you for posting! I was always looking for an interview with him talking about morrisey 😆 I find Robert Smith so fascinating!! Really appreciate the upload 😊
His hair, his soft voice, his charm, his style, he is just amazing 🖤🥀
this woman is one of THEE BEST rock music interviewers I have ever heard/seen, kudos!
Lawl! Love the comeback about Lydon "I think HE's whimpy English disco" 🙃 And follow up by describing Lydon and the likes with describing them spot on.
He was also right about Morrissey and 30 years later he's still right about both of them lmao
@@Falxifer95 Exactly. And he's more musical than both imo
What a great interview, too bad the last part was only audio - thanks so much for posting!
4:56 enjoyed the comment about having a physical deformity “ I have a hump” and squirming in his chair and commenting “ it’s like being in a boat!”
That's a reference to young frankenstine
@@thunder_heads I love that Mel Brooks movie - too funny!!
Excellent interview. She asked some good questions. Good rapport too.
oh my....never saw this. congrats and thank youuuu
I love his voice, it’s so relaxing
Why am I drooling?
video came up on my suggestion feed, ecstatic to say the least, then I clicked the "subcribe" button after looking at the plethora of "cure" content.
SHE has asked here among the most trenchant questions. GREAT interview. and I know them all, you know. brilliant stuff.
Thank you for posting this interview. I've been looking for it for years. You are doing a wonderful job! :)
He is beautiful and the voice
A good Interviewer
Thank you! Amazing
Great interview!
She was a good interviewer
Have this on VHS Somewhere in the boxes. Love them still.
If you don't want to lose your VHS tapes, it is recommended to convert them to digital before they become unwatchable due to tape decay.
@@TCDB I have recorded some onto DVD but that was with an old converter. My old Cure stuff is somewhere! Funny that a lot of this stuff on youtube now I used to have to buy on bootleg vhs from indie record stores!
@@trey5667 Good for you! In my country I've never seen bootleg VHS tapes in any stores. Only records, CDs and audio tapes.
@@TCDB Well it is Illegal here in the U.S. to sell bootlegs, but it wasn't a top priority for the police and these shops were small independent stores. You would NEVER find a bootleg in a major chain music store! Where are you from TCDB?
Would you believe that I spent $105 for a bootleg record just to hear Ariel?! Crazy but I was an obsessed teen Cure fan :)
@@trey5667 Yeah, it was more hard and much more expensive to get these things in the pre-Internet days than today.
I live in Hungary.
he is such a cutie patootie honestly i adore him
her american mind implodes at his every answer
I love how Robert called out Morrissey early! He knew
Buenísimo genial muy copado, una masa. Gracias por compartir saludos desde argentina 🇦🇷 💙...
Great interview. The hostess actually knows what she is talking about and is asking intelligent questions.
he was gorgeous!!
Their early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
I thought you were talking about Huey Lewis! And you are. Ha!
He’s such a little weirdo!! I love him 😍
I thought it was Barbara Walters for a second based on her voice because I was doing the dishes while listening. Good interview
I believe it's Barbara's clone... at least the same petri dish or test tube!🤔
Kooky 😍
Robert is soooo correct about The Smiths mainly Morrissey being arrogant !!
I love their albums, but in terms of Morrissey, of course he’s correct.
Morrisey >> The professional intellectual haha he is not wrong!
I’m just big boned I caught in between pizza
Robert was so right then about Morris and even more so now, Morrisy is an arse
He is orphan??!!
Maybe I don't understand
He was just saying that he sometimes lies to journalists to keep things less boring so him saying he was an orphan was just a lie he was referring to 😊
@@affys7843 thanks...for a moment I believed it, he said it quite convincingly even if in a low voice like when he is ashamed ... and the woman was so serious and sad! 😊
@@mo_be223 ha ha yes, he has that dead pan humour, doesn’t he? 🙊
They are just jealous because they can't write songs like you do and actually sing and you make it sound incredible and you have lots of good songs not just a one hit wonder. Theirs lots of bands that are out there and still haven't made one good song. They still suck.
wow, this woman is so creepy and all over him....
???
I’m sick of seeing comments on interviews conducted by women and the claim that they’re being inappropriate!
@@sarcasticallyrearranged she werent being that inappropriate but she was touching his hand she definitely fancied him
@@bolegnese pay attention to the difference in the comments when it's a man interviewing and a woman. Supposedly every woman is flirting when it's just the usual body language.
Awesome, except Morrissey is god.
The feud continues to this MF day!!! Lmao
Ew no
Morrissey is trash lmao only good thing is his music
Morrissey is dependent on The Smiths' music.Still.
He trudges along.
Morrissey is great but he’s right. He’s
a douche
Excellent interview - her knowledge, choice of topics and ease of conversation seemed to really put Robert in a more talkative and informative mode.
Huge respect for slagging the Smiths off when the worship of them was at it's height.
Fr not just that but he clocked Morissey's problems early
Thank you! Wonderful
Always articulate, always gentle in his speech. Long live Robert Smith 😌
