There's nothing better than driving that truck here in the tire saying feeling a vibration listen to the turbo whistle on an awesome Highway weather is East Texas Oklahoma Arizona so whole different feeling you're free the one down interstate late at night is it best time I enjoy driving trucks and doing it for many years and that's most like what I do die and to all the other truckers you're just like me may God ride with you

LyricsMy hat don't hang on the same nail too long
My ears can't stand to hear the same old song
An' I don't leave the highway long enough to bog down in the mud
'cause I've got ramblin' fever in my bloodI caught this ramblin' fever long ago
When I first heard a lonesome whistle blow
If someone said I ever gave a damn, the damn sure told you wrong
I've had ramblin' fever all alongRamblin' fever
The kind that can't be measured by degrees
    Ramblin' fever
There ain't no kind of cure for my diseaseThere's times I'd like to bed down on a sofa
And let some pretty lady rub my back
And spend the early morning drinking coffee
And talkin' about when I'll be coming back'cause I don't let no no woman tie me down
And I'll never get too old to get around
I want to die along the highway and rot away like some old high-line pole
Rest this ramblin' fever in my soulRamblin' fever
The kind that can't be measured by degrees
    Ramblin' fever
There ain't no kind of cure for my disease, yeah

For anyone who has never had this condition..you are a lucky son of a gun..it is incurable...and when it has you in it's grip...you're never the same...

Which version is this? There is at least one other studio version that seems more popular for some reason. This sounds better to my ears

This isn't the original, it's one of Merle's later remakes of his own material. Still an awesome song though.
