      It sounds like you may have developed a chronic issue in your foot, possibly stemming from the previous twist. Consulting with a podiatrist or orthopedic specialist would be advisable for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

    My ankles seem to stiffen up, I’m in mid 40’s. I’m not obese but slightly overweight. I really don’t understand the cause. I do have an upcoming doctor appointment. I wondered about a type of neuropathy because diabetes run in the family but I have that checked often and don’t seem to be developing that. Every morning when I wake I seem to have really work my ankles out of this stiffness and at night as well if I rest for long periods.

      i understand this all too well. i’m 19 and i work somewhere that has me on my feet all day. i try my best to get in at least 20-30k steps a day but honestly this ankle problem has it completely stiff. it hurts when i try to set it down normally like my other foot, it’s always tensed up and when i even try to force it to stay down? it just can’t. i hope it gets better for you ma’am. best of luck :,)

      It's wise to discuss these symptoms with your doctor as they could be related to early joint issues, inflammation, or other underlying health conditions, even in the absence of diabetes.

    My 50 years old mother's left ankle is swollen and it pains sometimes while walking for the last 2 weeks (she has high blood pressure and is on medications) what can be the problem?

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  2 месяца назад +2

      @lucifierlusi Swelling and pain in the ankle could be due to several factors, including fluid retention from high blood pressure or its medications, an injury, arthritis, or even poor circulation. It’s important to consult a doctor promptly, as they can evaluate for possible underlying causes like gout, venous insufficiency, or medication side effects, and recommend appropriate treatment.

    I had did a cartwheel and I told my sister if u don’t move I’ll do it anway so I did it and turned into the couch so I won’t it her and every since that my upper thigh and my ankle hurts and cramps up

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  5 месяцев назад +1

      @user-iz2mp4pw5o It sounds like you might have strained a muscle or slightly injured your thigh and ankle during the cartwheel. The impact of twisting your body to avoid your sister could have caused the discomfort you're feeling. Rest, ice, and gentle stretching can help ease the pain and prevent cramping. If the pain persists or worsens, it’s a good idea to consult a healthcare professional to rule out any serious injury and to get appropriate treatment. Take care, and give your body time to heal!

    mine keeps coming back every few months in the same spot and goes away in under a week

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  3 месяца назад

      @aleavian It sounds like you're dealing with a recurring issue in a specific area, which can be frustrating. Whether it's a skin condition, like a rash or infection, or something else, recurring symptoms can indicate that the underlying cause hasn't been fully addressed. If it goes away quickly, that's a positive sign, but if it keeps returning, it may be worth consulting a healthcare professional. They can help determine the cause and suggest treatment options to prevent future occurrences. Keeping track of any triggers or changes in your routine may also provide helpful insights for your doctor.

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  Месяц назад

      @tripsrajan If you're experiencing light ankle pain, it’s important to listen to your body and be cautious. Continuing to run on an injured or painful ankle, even lightly, can worsen the problem and affect your exam performance. Consider resting, applying ice, and elevating the ankle to prevent further strain. If the pain persists, it’s a good idea to consult a healthcare professional or physiotherapist for advice on how to manage it. You could also try strengthening exercises and stretching to prepare safely for your exam. Prioritizing recovery will help you perform better in the long run.

    How to get a quick relieve from it??

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  5 месяцев назад +1

      @hasseavedish6456 For quick relief from ankle pain, you can try the R.I.C.E. method: Rest the ankle, Ice it for 15-20 minutes every few hours, Compress with an elastic bandage, and Elevate it above heart level. Over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen can also help reduce pain and inflammation. If the pain persists, it's important to consult a healthcare professional.

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  6 месяцев назад

      It sounds like you might have a sprained ankle, which can cause swelling and pain. While it's understandable to feel anxious about visiting a doctor, it's important to get a proper diagnosis to ensure there's no serious injury, like a fracture. The doctor will likely examine your ankle, possibly recommend an X-ray, and provide guidance on treatment options such as rest, ice, compression, elevation (R.I.C.E), and possibly a brace or physical therapy to aid in healing. Going to the doctor can help you recover more quickly and prevent further issues.

    Hello sir i am from india
    I have a problem in my ankel... From 5 year this problem happens with me... Today my doctor said after saw my x ray report and said its a ankel syndesmotic injury and only one treatment is surgery..... So my question is is surgery necessary or any other treatment heal

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  3 месяца назад

      @dkssrimanjagmohan5098 Hello! I'm sorry to hear about your ankle issue. Ankle syndesmotic injuries can be complex, and surgery is often recommended when conservative treatments (like rest, physical therapy, or bracing) don't provide sufficient relief or when there is significant instability. It's crucial to discuss all your treatment options with your doctor, including the potential benefits and risks of surgery versus non-surgical approaches. Getting a second opinion from another specialist might also be helpful to ensure you're making the best decision for your health.

      @MedicalCentric  4 месяца назад

      @dyergirlsgang8455 I'm really sorry your ankle hurts! It could be a sprain, strain, or something else like growing pains. It's important to let an adult know right away so they can help you. Resting your ankle, applying ice, and keeping it elevated can sometimes help, but if it keeps hurting or gets worse, seeing a doctor is the best way to find out what’s wrong and get the right treatment. Feel better soon!

    Iv had extreme pain since I was about 18 I’m 28 now iv seen so many doctors tried so many different things . I won’t construction and I’m on my feet all day 8-13 hours and my ankles will start to hurt any time of day at any point and will not end . When I take my boots off when I’m home and rest my feet it gets worse and I some times have to crawl . And it only gets better enough in the morning to survive through the next work day . then on weekends I’m fine . I don’t know what to do . No doctor has ever been able to help me

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  3 месяца назад

      @brad6938 That sounds incredibly challenging, especially with such a physically demanding job. It’s possible that chronic inflammation, improper footwear support, or even nerve issues could be contributing factors. Since the pain eases on weekends, maybe experimenting with specialized work boots, insoles, or looking into a physical therapist for targeted exercises could offer some relief. Hope you find a breakthrough soon!

    guys can u help, i want to know if i sprained my ankle.
    so what happened was i was playing footy against some other school and someone from other school tripped me over and i rolled my ankle and i couldnt walk without limping and now i just got home and its swollen and i still cant walking without limping, and it hurts to move it in a certain way. My ankle hurts so much even when im not moving or putting pressure on it.
    to summarise
    - cant walk without limping
    - swollen
    -hurts alot even when im not moving or putting pressure on it
    well idk if its swollen, theres just a massive bump on where i rolled it.

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  3 месяца назад

      @leilanix-music It sounds like you may have sprained your ankle based on the swelling, pain, and difficulty walking without limping. A sprain typically involves damage to the ligaments, which can cause swelling and discomfort, especially when moving the joint. It’s important to rest, ice the area, compress it with a bandage, and elevate your foot. If the pain persists or worsens, you should consider seeing a doctor for further evaluation.

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  3 месяца назад

      @Art_2u It sounds like you may be experiencing a recurring issue, possibly related to muscle imbalance or joint alignment. If it has recovered before, there's a chance it might improve again with rest, but it's essential to address the underlying cause to prevent it from recurring. Avoid putting too much strain on your leg until the pain subsides. Cycling could be an option, but only if it doesn’t cause discomfort. Consider consulting a physiotherapist to get a proper diagnosis and guidance on exercises to strengthen and stabilize your leg.

      @Mystery_minder I'm sorry to hear about the sharp pain in your ankle-it's never fun to deal with that, especially when you're just trying to enjoy yourself. It could be a sprain or strain, which is common when you're active. The best thing to do is rest your ankle, apply ice, elevate it, and maybe use an elastic bandage for support. If the pain doesn't improve or gets worse, it might be a good idea to see a doctor to make sure everything's okay. Take care and hope you feel better soon!
