Only when Real faded at 2003 or 04 he cost them games a few times. I remember that well. And not by watching only youtube highlights. 8:24 Casillas was not the first choice goalkeeper straightaway. He was the substitute goalkeeper in all those Champions League finals in 1998, 2000 and 2002. (Although he started the 2000 final) And he wasn't the best goalkeeper of that era because you still had Oliver Kahn, Gianluigi Buffon, etc playing at that time.

You lot saying nobody saw Lev Yashin are funny, who actually saw Pele playing, but he is generally regarded as the goat. To not even mention Yashin, is a disgrace. To this day he remains the only goalkeeper to win a ballon d'or, and look at some of the all time great footballers playing at that time, to win it over them shows he was indeed special.
People tend to watch highlights of attacking players they haven’t seen over goalkeepers and defenders. None of us really saw Pele playing at the time but we’ve seen a lot more of him post career in comparison to Yashin.
