So inconsistencies are very observable. 5 consecutive seasons and only one of them he scored more than 11 goals..thats a red flag. Anyways, in terms of EPL great strikers, I'd rank Drogba ahead of Suarez. 2. Your arguments on Aguero are nuts. First, winning or losing a golden boot is based on who are you competing with that season. Tevez won a golden boot in 2011 with 20 goals. Guess what, Aguero has scored more than Tevez's tally in several separate seasons but never won a golden boot because there were better competition with better numbers like Kane, RVP, and Salah. For example.. i. Aguero 2012: 23 goals ii. Aguero 2016: 24 goals iii. Aguero 2017: 20 goals iv. Aguero 2018: 21 goals v. Aguero 2019: 21 goals Remember, Aguero never won a golden boot with these 20+ goals, but Tevez won with his 20 goals in 2011. 3. Why would Aguero need competition when he is delivering? The fact that he is the leading man upfront without the team worrying about a second choice striker is all I need for confirmation of his greatness. These players you are mentioning are either flops or injury prone or average players that left very quickly because they couldnt deliver or left for greener pastures. Great players dont get benched in the name of "competition". You are using Aguero's greatness to criticize him, lol. He stayed without competition for almost a decade because he was delivering. The rest needed competition because there was times when they were going out of form. Drogba is a good example of inconsistency and injuries. Aguero is a good example of consistency and reliability.
You can tell Rory was concentrating on acting during the 2010s coz he puts Zola ahead of Hazard and constantly underrates Aguero, both of which were the 2 best players of that decade. Aguero is the 2nd best striker in prem history

Debate the rest, Cantona won the league every season he played in the league the only time he didn't win was when he got banned I'd argue for him also Stop the bias Rory and drop Drogba, Drogbas best quality was his mentality he was a big game player and most of his big game moments came out if the PL so he's got to be out to get the others in.

Turned off and unsubbed not listening to this rubbish ever again. Aguero is easily top 5, arguably top 3 and even a shout for the best player ever in the prem if not for injuries. GPM King
Agree with you about Drogba Rory, he's also underrated by the new generation of footie fans, doesn't seem to get the recognition he deserves because of how long ago it was, but I'll tell you as a Man United fan, we had a great backline in Drogba's peak, and to be honest, he was the only player I felt would actually be a major goal threat when we had Vidic and Ferdinand in their primes..it's the pace, the strength, the height, headers, the man was unstoppable most days back then..his latter stage of his career didn't do him justice for those who only saw that.
Eric Cantona can't be in. He wasn't a striker, nor was he an elite goalscorer. I seriously love Bergkamp as a player, however, he can't be in there either, he wasn't a striker. Drogba can't be there either. CR7 can't be there because he was a winger. For the same reason, Salah can't be in because he's a winger, not a striker. Suarez has to be there. Andy Cole has to be there. In no particular order, Henry, Shearer, Aguero, Kane, Andy Cole, Rooney, Suarez, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Robbie Fowler and (this is tough and could be a number of players), but too many sleepers on Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. He was immense.
No chance he's beating Henry. I think Aguero got unfairly handled here but he's really not ahead of Henry and I'd say Rooney should be ahead for his qualities as a provider also with FAR more assists to his name.
1. Henry 2. Rooney 3. Aguero 4. Shearer 5. Kane 6. Drogba 7. Suarez 8. Van Nistlerooy 9. Bergkamp 10. Teves I’m a Chelsea fan btw… only been watching prem since 2002 These are the best I’ve seen… wasn’t lucky enough to watch the likes of Andy Cole, Ian Wright or Cantona
The fact that they didn't even try to argue a case for anyone being above Henry says it all, regardless of who you put 2nd, they are a long way behind Henry... Va Va Voom!
Salah and Ronaldo should not have been included in this list at all. Should have stuck to strikers, maybe 10s like Bergkamp. Opening it up to wide players makes it impossible.
People are starting to forget how good Cantona was, he was the best player in the league for his entire duration there and easily better than Aguero (who was also brilliant, obviously!).
It simply has to be Henry at #1. In terms of the complete package there has never been a more dangerous and ruthless striker in PL history. In terms of touch and technique few rival him, blistering pace to burn, strength, composure and the winning mentality that drove him on. The fact he had a signature finish that goalkeepers knew was coming but he was so clinical he'd still not give them a chance to get their hands to it. Holding the most assists in a season for 17 years before a certain lowkey KDB came in and matched it shows that as an attacking force he had it all.
Kane is ahead of Aguero - as a goalscorer at a vastly inferior team. Sure, Aguero's a better player, but goalscorer-No chance! You are the entire circus if you believe Aguero is a better goalscorer than Kane! I agree that he's a better GS than Drogba, FYI.
“With the new formation of 433” okay so you admit he’s a winger .. that’s the end of debate. Salah can’t go near a striker debate, drop Tryna force him in just so you can Liverpool are in that list. It’s pathetic.. if he’s in this list he CANNOT be in the winger list, choose one and stick with it
I wouldn't have Wright in and I'm an Arsenal fan, Cole banged in goals for Blackburn even scored the winner for them in the 2002 League Cup Final. Aguero over Cantona. Such a hard video to do lads everyone's opinions will differ. Rory definitely has a Shearer agenda 😂
It's so interesting to see how Rory's opinion has changed. He did one of these lists 2 years ago on a SDS podcast. The differences are immense, even between the retired players. Shearer was first (over Henry and Rooney), Cantona wasn't in the top 10....
Aguero without injuries gets at least one 30+ goal season in the league, could finish from any range or angle and basically had no weakness in his game, the disrespect is nuts

You should do us Favour, for those of us that didn’t watch Henry. Can you please make a video and tell us why everyone regard Henry as the greatest premier league striker.. we will love to know 😊😊
There are plenty of great videos out there which show why. In his prime there was simply no better striker in PL history. He had it all - strength, blistering pace, elegance, control, invention and devestingly clinical in front of goal. That's before you take into account his assists which he held the record for before KDB finally matched after 17 years.
Honestly what you should have done was top 10 STRIKERS (9’s and 10’s) who have at least 100 premier league goals. At least it takes into consideration longevity then, and you can look at titles and goals per game/ assists to split them. That’s what I would do.

iii. Aguero 2017: 20 goals
iv. Aguero 2018: 21 goals
v. Aguero 2019: 21 goals
Remember, Aguero never won a golden boot with these 20+ goals, but Tevez won with his 20 goals in 2011.
Rory’s agenda against Shearer is so strange
think it’s cuz of the whole fallout he had w tg
Rory is controversial on purpose it’s a bit tiring
You can tell Rory was concentrating on acting during the 2010s coz he puts Zola ahead of Hazard and constantly underrates Aguero, both of which were the 2 best players of that decade. Aguero is the 2nd best striker in prem history
10. Andy Cole
9. Cristiano Ronaldo
8. Ruud Van Nistelrooij
7. Didier Drogba
6. Alan Shearer
5. Harry Kane
4. Mohammed Salah
3. Wayne Rooney
2. Sergio Aguero
1. Thierry Henry
If Ronaldo is in there then Van Persie should be too. Of course Ronaldo is the better overall player but in terms of Individual performances as a Striker just in the PL then I'd have to choose Van Persie above Ronaldo
Why we putting wingers on a striker top 10?
This is much more credible than their list, Eric Cantona and Bergkamp over Aguero and Kane is criminal. We’re talking about goals… just read the stats
Shearer 6th is a disgrace, he’s the record scorer ever. Had the highest scoring single season till last year. Most 30+ goal seasons. Fastest to 50, 100 and 150 goals!
@@JL-uv9yjshearer isn’t a better all around player than the players above him in this list
Aguero was in conversations against Henry how the hell is he not in a top 5 let alone a top 10 and I’m a huge City hater.
No one is in a conversation with Henry. Hence why there was no conversation about Henry in this video. He's always going to be the GOAT
@@liammccolgan5706 Statistically he was because of his goals per minute ratio they were neck and neck for a while. Ultimately to me Henry in a league of his own but there was that stat.

The Aguero disrespect is getting out of control
Whats Rory's beef with Aguero? Easily the 2nd best striker in prem history
I think Rooney gets in 2nd. As a complete package he was more lethal in terms of goals and assists also which Aguero didn't match. I'd agree he's 3rd though.
@@marzipanmonkeythe top 3 is Rooney, Henry, Aguero. Regardless of how you rank them, those are the top 3
@@McfcxEz Henry > Rooney > Aguero
Genuinely turning off. List is invalid due to No Aguero. Geeza is easy top 3. Wtf. “City fans are gonna come for us” no. Football fans with knowledge are.
Making a list like this is really hard, especially considering the amount of player. depending on the person who makes the list, there will always be player left out that everyone else says should have been in.
I can't believe 10 mins into the video and Rudd Van Nistelrooys name hasn't been mentioned once! Arguably the best finisher on the list
I'm a Man Utd fan and I'm sorry but Aguero over Drogba all day long. Henry, Shearer, Rooney, Kane, Ronaldo, Cole, Aguero all have to be in for me. Debate the rest, Cantona won the league every season he played in the league the only time he didn't win was when he got banned I'd argue for him also
Stop the bias Rory and drop Drogba, Drogbas best quality was his mentality he was a big game player and most of his big game moments came out if the PL so he's got to be out to get the others in.
Henry always number one no doubt. I'd love you guys to do best keepers. I think would be very interesting.
Aguero has the best goals per minutes ratio in prem history, is 5th top scorer in prem history, won 5 premier leagues, hass the 4th most completed dribbles in Europe since 2006 (as a STRIKER)... This guy is 2nd only to Henry in prem history, what is Rory on? 🤦♂🤦♂
And most goals against the big 6 too
Delectable medley of footballing splendour
Andy Cole's got 180 goals in the premier league without a single penalty and also won the treble. He definitely should be on this list.
So you're telling me a player that beat all of Thierry Henrys goals scoring records, most goals in PL history for a foreign player, 5 PL titles, dominated the league for a decade, most goals against the Big6, most PL hattricks, best minutes per goals ratio in PL history, and he STILL doesnt make it in?
Aguero is HIM
These two are nostalgia merchants
Aguero is easily top 4, debatable top 3 with Rooney
When Ade joked about Kevin Phillips, I'd easily have him in there before Drogba in a heartbeat
Aguero is AT LEAST the 2nd best st of the 2000s in the prem
He ain’t better than Rooney or Henry sorry not sorry
Hes better than Rooney as a striker, fell off at the end of his career@@biz2055
Im an Arsenal fan who loves Ian wright but Aguero definitely is in the top 10 probably top 5... Definitely ahead of Cole, Wright, Drogba, Bergkamp rest is arguable
I stopped watching after they agreed upon no Aguero. Horrible Take. No excuse to not have Aguero in this list. His numbers are insane, top 3 in prem history, up there with Shearer and Kane.
I agree but u lost me at Kane
Perpetual losers dont deserve a spot
Kane has as many trophy contributing goals as my nan
He peaked later so I dunno what youre talking about?
Sergio aguero is closer to being #1 than not on the list at all, you lot don’t have a clue about footie wow.
No chance he's beating Henry. I think Aguero got unfairly handled here but he's really not ahead of Henry and I'd say Rooney should be ahead for his qualities as a provider also with FAR more assists to his name.

Drogba shouldn't be here. Aguero is better than Drogba
Well at least we’ve acknowledged that no player will ever be better than Thierry Henry 💪
Salah and Ronaldo should not have been included in this list at all. Should have stuck to strikers, maybe 10s like Bergkamp. Opening it up to wide players makes it impossible.
Last time Rory did this list he put Sterling and Mahrez on there 😂
He put John Barnes as a top 10 PL winger of all time. He's lost.
Drogba scored more than 12 goals in a Pl season twice. Aguero did it 9 times …

@@JackSpurstap in merchant? Aguero has one of the most attractive goal catalogues out of any player
People are starting to forget how good Cantona was, he was the best player in the league for his entire duration there and easily better than Aguero (who was also brilliant, obviously!).
Aguero has the highest goals per minutes of any striker in the prem EVER, and I'm a United fan.
Rory sneaking drogba in this list is criminal over aguerro Ian wright RVP
This old head disrespect of Sergio Aguero is getting soooo old
Ian Wright out but Drogba survives??? You guys never want to see us happy😂😂😂
whos this clown saying drogba and kane over sergio aguero

It's always 35+ y.o English men as well, James Lawrence Allcott also has a weird agenda against Aguero.
Is making sure you're fit and available for selection part of the criteria, just for for thought on the aguero exclusion?
The problem is the definition. If you’re doing goal scorer then Salah and Ronaldo can be there, but they are wide men not strikers.
they are strikers they play in a front 3 their main aim in a match is to score not assist like a winger

I love all ya videos Rory, but please keep ade in the thumbnails where he’s involved. I love rewatching these ones with the two of you 👍
This is one of the best videos ever. I just love the lack of tribalism, and the almost agonised, disheartened, defeated, buddy approach to this impossible task.
I think Drogba v aguero is a conversation to be had
@@JackSpursgot to say Aguero is a better player and scorer. I grew up watching Drogba and loved him, arrogantly classy and turned up on time in all the big games but he doesn’t have the speed, the measure of pass and anticipation or eyesight that Aguero does. Drogba was great at everything and Aguero was great in some things and excellent in others in my opinion.
@JackSpurs City make players look elite? Aguero was unreal at athletico madrid at 19yo scoring nearing 30 goals. He was argubly the hottest attacking property after messi/Ronaldo/Rooney at that time. You should rewatch agueros goal catalogue it is is elite. The type of goals his scores before his legs were gone were world class. Drogba at his best was unreal but drogba did coast throughout the season from time to time. He shouldve scored way more goals for a player of his technical/physical ability
Drogba is NOT a better all round footballer than Aguero. Aguero is a better dribbler, passer and faster which are the more important technical abilities to judge who's a better player. Drogba was a good hold up player but would be gasping for wind trying to move like Aguero or be creative/skillful. Good player to play long ball to though @@JackSpurs
No wonder you dont like Aguero. You're a Spurs fan who probably think Kane was better. Same argument applies to him@@JackSpurs
Aguero not in top 10 is beyond

Drogba ahead of Aguero???😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 What are we doing here?
Aguero not being in is maaaad
Drogba over Saurez never
