    Lena's evidence is remarkable to say the least. It's hard to argue the great possibility she is right after watching her presentation. Did the New Testament Gospels shift the times of certain characters and events? If so, then why? This is not a minor concern if they had. In fact, there are a number of late ideas that need to be reconsidered if this is true.

    • @RalphEllis
      @RalphEllis 5 лет назад +9

      The reason for the shift is Roman politics and propaganda. The real King Jesus led the Jewish Revolt, which was put down by Vespasian. When he became emperor, Vespasian did not want the history of this King Jesus being linked to the Revolt (he did not want copycat revolts). Likewise, the later Christian scholars did not was their new pacifist (King) Jesus being linked to the Revolt, let alone be the leader of the Revolt. (Even though Jesus was jailed alongside those who had committed murder in the Revolt - Math 15:7) And so in an unlikely alliance between Rome and Christianity, the date of Jesus mission (Revolt) was moved back by 40 years.

As I see it the authors of the Gospels and the authors of Josephus are the creators of christianity whatever existed before was chrestianity a form of Serapis worship. The Egyptian escaping on the Mount of Olives may be referenced by the young man wearing nothing but a linen cloth. Mark 14:51 "They seized him, 52 but he left the cloth behind and ran off naked."

      The parallel Atwill finds to this in the sequence of parallels with Josephus is where Titus escape

      @@cameradanblack The parallel is with Josef fleeing potifar's wife. actually it is a star-myth; astrotheology, reason why it is told over and over again. So is Germanicus (Paul) to compare with the zoodiac-sign of Ophichius the snake-bearer and sea-fahrer. Germamicus sons were exiled to die to Pandateria (bandit-island). Paul travels in a storm to this same island were he shakes off 2 snakes in a fire after been bitten. the symbolism (by author Luke) is clear.

    What's interesting is that Irenaeus stated in his _Against Heresies_ that Jesus lived to be almost 50 and was crucified by Pontius Pilate under the Emperor Claudius! That would be between 41 and 54 CE. So we may have outside Christian evidence of this time shift.

  • @RalphEllis
    @RalphEllis 5 лет назад +16

    Dave and Glen. .... I have likewise proved that the gospel timeline is later, in my books “King Jesus” and “Jesus King of Edessa”. I initially did this back in 1997, by proving that Saul was Josephus, and therefore the events of the Gospels were actually the events surrounding the Jewish Revolt. Since that time, a whole torrent of data from the Talmud, Gospels and Josephus Flavius, has proven this to be true. In short, King Jesus Em Manuel, was King Izas Manu VI of Edessa, a real king who led the Jewish Revolt, but lost to Vespasian and was crucified (but survived). This is real history, but a history that has been buried and forgotten for too long.

    • @RalphEllis

      This time-shift (the chronological chasm) even effects Arthurian Legend. These early Medieval stories say that Joseph of Arimathaea was a soldier working for Emperor Vespasian. But to get Joseph from the crucifixion to AD70, they make him go to sleep for 3 days, but wake up 40 years later, having not aged at all. This are the absurdities that this chronological time shift has created.

      Ralph Ellis, I am very familiar with your work and appreciate your dropping in to view and comment on this video. These types of thesis and hypotheses are so rich with data and possibilities awaiting validation and further discoveries. I find it unfortunate that most are unwilling (possibly due to fear) of having their paradigms shift too far for their comfort. I love the simplified term taken from the Hindu texts, "There is no greater religion than the truth." I appreciate your work and major contribution to revelations of possible lost history. This is very intriguing, but let's do this to Elvis. We shift him to the 1930s; we call him Millard; we say he was born in South Bend but lived in Mississippi for a while, we say he had an orchestra & performed amazing acrobatics, & we say he was sent to the electric chair when he refused to go to WW2, but he returned briefly as a ghost. Is that still Elvis? I think that’s just a character we made up who shares a couple of minor traits with Elvis. It's hard to differentiate him from a similarly mythologized Carl Perkins or Benny Goodman. Worse: we have all kinds of possibly fake songs from Millard but none from Elvis. What does it _mean_ to say they were the same guy?

    To put out the claim that the time shift was done to avoid competing accounts does not make any sense like this. One must also say why they wanted to avoid competing accounts. Where they not content with the behaviour of that Egyptian? Or was the Egyptian of a dual nature, both violent and melancholic?
    This way it makes the "new testaments" complete lies.
    If the Egyptian was violent insurgent and rebel against authorities then why try to make him into something else? Something he wasn't?
    Is this a gnostic influence?

    I think there was a rebellion triggered by the heavy taxes collected by the Pharisees for the Romans. They were hostile to the city and the temple.
    Pharisees had disowned them and were not performing any of the religious services like circumcision. I think the Romans interfered
    after they burned the city and destroyed the temple. Josephus refuses to provide refuge to some rebels because they were not circumcised,
    which means he was a Pharisee himself, loyal to Rome. His account of participating in the rebellion must be incorrect. Rebels must be rounded up and sold as slaves.
    I think the word Jesus may actually mean 'rebel'. Arabic version of Jesus rhymes with the Arabic version of 'rebel'. Probably similar in Aramaic. If it is a generic name though,
    there could be many people tagged with that designation. If Jesus was a rebel, why would Pharisees like Paul would oppose and then
    embrace Jesus? I think the Romans commissioned them to write the Gospels so that tax payment becomes a religious duty, which it was already for the Pharisees.
    I think Josephus may have had a hand in writing the Gospels for the gentiles. I think they had a blueprint to used in different geographical areas.
    If I were an emperor, I would do that too.
