EDIT: OOPS, looks like I said the Olaplex No. 3 has silicones and I was totes wrong 🤦🏼♀️ the No 4 and No 8 DO, but the Hair Perfector is totally CGM friendly if that is a priority in your routine!
Nr 3 doesn't, but nr 4 (shampoo) has some traces of it (lower half on the ingredient list) and nr 8 (mask) has dimethicone as the second ingredient, as per their website.
I know you posted this awhile ago, but I just found it now. Do you do this process each time you wash your hair or only after a coloring/bleaching treatment? I have gentle wave to actual ringlets in certain places. I've noticed after I get a coloring and highlights, I'm down to almost NO curl at all. The reason why I ask how often to follow this process is the bill for the products suggested is north of $150.
I have similar hair except the difference is my hair is low-ish porosity (probably medium). I was thinking to bleach and dye the bottom half. Will that change the porosity? If it does, will the two halves be a different porosity? How would that work haha. U currently don’t use much protein in my routine so how much shoukd I add? Sorry for long paragraph and idk if you’ll see this because the video was 8 months ago lol
Woops, totally messed up on the silicone discussion🤦🏼♀️ and that is a tough question! I may have to try them side-by-side to see if I notice a difference.
@@TheFitCurls I'd love to see a video of that. I have the Curlsmith Salve now, but I'm considering trying Olaplex once I run out. I'm wondering if it's worth making the switch. The only thing holding me back is the amount you get for each compared to the price.
@@Floridameerkat93 have you tried the olapex yet? I just bought the curlsmith bonder so going to start trying that this week. Will have to see which one I prefer. Hopefully the curlsmith works just as good because it's way cheaper.
My hair is low porosity and overall protein sensitive. I will be coloring my hair this month. Should I add protein afterwards? And what could be a good product to do that so I don't shock my hair that usually doesn't like protein?
If you are lightening your hair, then yes I would suggest adding some protein. If you’re just getting a demi-permanent color then no need! I would recommend looking for products with smaller proteins in them, like amino acids and especially silk amino acids. These will add the needed structure without building up on your hair or causing overload. If you still have issues with the proteins, stick with bond builders like the Olaplex products I used here.
When you use the number 3 hair perfecter, do you just dampen the hair before you put it on or do you shampoo? I was wondering because I feel like I would still have product in my hair from previous days so I hope that won’t affect the treatment
I thought when olaplex 3 says to use damp hair that we should wash our hair first and towel dry it. They want us to put it on dirty hair ? Another question I have is I thought only olaplex 3 is cgm safe and the rest have silicones. Idk if you follow cg or not strictly . I have that shampoo and conditioner in my shower from my straightening days but was hesitant to use because I’m trying to do cgm for now til my hair is in better shape curly wise
See my pinned comment about the silicone issue 🤦🏼♀️🤣 and it can be used on clean damp hair or just damp hair! The active ingredient works regardless 🙂

"....If that matters to you!"
Totally out of order.
@@florl.delgado4093 Poor phrasing - meant if using CGM approved products is a priority in your routine! I’ve edited the comment to reflect this.
Just wondering why you didn’t use Olaplex no. 0. Number 0 is the product that goes on for 10 minutes. Olaplex no. 3 is 20 minutes. 👌🏻
Your hair turned out 💣💥
I also use olaplex before and after dying my hair. Makes a huge difference!
It really does!! Science is awesome 🙌🏻
Thanks so much for your review! We love your curls!!
Thank YOU!! 💕✨
@@TheFitCurls Our pleasure!
Love the new color! Your curls always look amazing!
Thank you so much!! I love the color too 😍
So pretty! Love the results💕
Thank you so much!!
Love the results!
Thank you!! I’m thrilled 😁
The color is gorgeous. Olaplex is the best!
Isn’t it though?! Such fabulous products!
Correct me if I am wrong but olaplex 3 doesn't contain any silicones 🤔
Thats what I thought too. I KNOW it has no proteins. So I was confused if it DOES have silicones. 🤷♀️

hello beautiful if you could put substitutes I would greatly appreciate it
Very nice video! 😍 Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!! xx
Your hair is so beautiful!!! I have similar hair, but longer and not so much defined! :) Can I use the Olaplex 8 as a leave in conditioner?
I would not recommend leaving the Olaplex No. 8 in - it’s formulated as a rinse-out mask so if left in it might do more harm than good!

Do you prefer Olaplex or the Curlsmith Bond Repair Salve? Also, what silicones are in the No. 3? I looked up the ingredients and didn't find any.
I checked all of the olaplex products and the zero and 3 were the only ones that were “CG approved “ 🤷♀️
@@dustythorpe9625 That's what I thought.

I’ve actually used it both ways and didn’t see any noticeable difference in the results on clean vs dirty hair!
I really want to try Olaplex but I've heard some people say that Olaplex is a chemical and should only be used in the salon! Help!
Olaplex No 1 and 2 are only sold to licensed cosmetologists but all the other treatments are totally safe and encouraged for home use!!

I love this but girl ya need to clean that brush before the mask haha so the old hair doesn’t put any buildup on your just washed brush.
Looks amazing? But wow I wish there was a simpler process.
I recommend you check out fast hair growth fortified shampoo to double hair growth.
