I think the Control Bugs were a retcon from the first movie. The first movie has that one sarge guy tell the Roughnecks, "the bugs got inside his brain and made him call for help". The one we're looking at is a guy obviously been hit with the claw thing the Brain Bug uses to eat their brains and gain intelligence. So, this really makes very little sense. You just chalk this up to being "the guy is crazy out of his mind with fear". But then, we get Starship Troopers 2... And suddenly, they've got bugs that infect your brain and control you. I think they were created in order to explain the discrepancy between what Brain Bugs do and what the crazy Sarge guy at the outpost says.
I remember watching this movie as a kid thinking it was like the first one. When that guys head was pulled off exposing the bug inside i couldn't sleep with the lights off for a week.
Similiar bug was used by Arachnids to control dead troopers in Starship Troopers: Terran Ascendancy (Operation: Recovery, and Operation Xenocide IV). Though never shown on screen - they had ability to reanimate corpses and retain their weapon handling capabilities
When offered food, he goes straight for raw sugar. Can't help it, always makes me think of MiB's space bug in the Edgar-suit: _"Gimme water! With sugar!"_ ^^
ray macul ugh . fuck i remember when i first saw it.. i was so excited to see it then the 1st battle scene happened . i was like dafuq is this shit?! those are fucking flashlights!
To Be honest, when i first saw SSTII i completely thought the whole movie to be a more horror/sci-fi film, due to well scenes with mind controlling parasites.....and murder
1st how does that work? How do you go straight to the 🧠 in da mouth? Don't think our mouth goes straight to the 🧠. And also if only these were actually real 😕 doesn't that hurt to swallow them? They're like ma fist being shoved down as it titanics you to rot
For years I could not for the life of me remember what that scene was from where the two guys are stuck in the room with the large brain one. Now I remember.
Starship Troopers 2 was actually a better than ok movie. The setting was very different and the dark tone set it apart from what the first movie offered. Now don't get me started on the 3rd movie...
I tried to decide if it was bad acting or a good script: it seemed that each person infected with a control bug would be stuck in some personality trait: the one girl was really kinda slutty; one guy was a bully, etc. I didn't know if it was supposed to be the bugs not getting us "right", or they didn't get good direction.
It was a mix of things with the characters. They were all hosts and I can only assume that the bugs brought on certain traits forward more that to aid in achieving their goal. So the slutty one would use that trait to get men alone and expose them to the bug. If the bugs were inside them and they just acted "normal", it would seem too boring in my opinion. We knew who the infected were, we just waited to see how things played out. Not everything has to be a mystery.

General Coma “They get in your head, make you do things. They made Farley call headquarters.” That can be an allusion to the control bugs or the brain bugs telepathy.
I just remember being pretty disappointed by the movie . General Poor quality and it seemed to stray away from the plot line But pretty decent for a parasite horror film
Drokla 47 just draw in tactics to the arachnids time is irelevent as long as the job is done. as long as the human race was destroyed time didn't matter.so for example if a host is close to death the control bug can make the host send out a s.o.s and bring in more fuel it's slower but job gets done regardless.
@@colinbrouillette304 how you even get to the 🧠 in da mouth? Don't think our mouth doesn't go to the 🧠. Doesn't that hurt to swallow a fist size 🐜. They completely shove down as a vore.
You need to make these at least a minimum of 10 minutes... 2 minute videos explaining basic shit that anyone would know just from watching or reading the base material is unacceptable and just not okay.... you need to make each lore video 10 minutes or more and cover everything about the subject. All the details, all the descriptions, locations, source material it appears in, speculation. There is just so much more to each thing you cover, and yet all you do is tell us what it is and what it did in the material it appeared in. That's just not cool and not gonna get you the views and subscribers I know you want to have... so work on that. You can find a way to stretch it out and add more info, just try a little harder put in a little more effort.
You really should change the word "explained" to "introduction" as all you're doing is covering surface info. I've already seen the movie so none of this was new. I was hoping you'd elaborate, or garner something from other media (books, comics, etc).

Nice catch

me 2
Same big fan of the first one but when I accidentally watched that scene on TV as a kid lol gave me nightmares for days
I watched it as an adult and figured the series was going to go more and more grotesque. I was correct. Watch the third one.

I believe the control bugs were briefly alluded to in the first star ship troopers.
They weren't created till after a brain bug was captured
General Coma “They get in your head, make you do things. They made Farley call headquarters.”
That can be an allusion to the control bugs or the brain bugs telepathy.
More starship troopers videos. Good work
Man these little shits are pretty OP, they may actually turn the tide vs the humans
Fire, my friend. Fire is your friend.
"Bugs are the good guys"

If the host quickly deteriorates how would they manage to complete their plan of infecting fleet command in time.

Drokla 47 got a host again

I feel like the 2nd film would've worked as its own movie separate from the series

Starship Troopers needs a new tv show.
They probably would show them on HBO or Showtime. Due to extreme graphic content.
