Its true. The movie had the lowest budget of all 3 but i think in terms of bug cgi it is on par with 1. I think because there is so little bug action they managed to serve allot of budget for VFX
Hey I finally noticed. That leader is the Captain on the first Starship Troopers! She got killed by the falling door. And this one she shot herself. Wow who knew! First this lady and Raiden's character in Django unchained
B.O.S Ranger Hawke AND what this means is mankind obviously want something the bugs have. So they waged war with them for that very reason. The bugs showed no threat to them until they attacked first.
B.O.S stupid, the UCF discovered the bugs while exploring the galaxy, that's when both came into contact to each other. Human tried to build up colonies in the bug's territories despite warning and got wiped out. Because of the intrusion, the bugs sent a meteor to hit Earth and that created the long year wars between human & bugs. Bugs had never been the enemy of humanity, we just made one ourselves.
Ng B48 interesting I just came up with a theory that maybe the humans attacked first because they had resources they wanted, kinda like what human beings are doing to each other right now.
Bugs live on the other side of the Milky way. Consider the nature behavior as an invasive species (both human & bugs), we would likely meet them sooner or later. But due to the fact that bugs have millions of year of evolution, human has no chance against them that's why UCF warned everyone not to go near their territories to prevent provocation. In the end, they could not stop the inevitable and started a war that could've been avoided for at least thousands of year or more.
Phosphorous perimeter bombs, electric fence surrounding the base If they had more bases that well made, they might have had better chance of holding that planet
Pretty scary near the end of the movie where the Arachnid Swarm are all waiting on the other side of the electric fence. On All Sides of the electric fence.
Squirrel runs in yard Kid runs in yard Pregnant mother runs in yard to save the kid Police run in yard to arrest you Swat arrived Military arrived Homeless people start eating the dead that surround your house Nukes fall, your house still safe Chipmunk chews on wires The fence is down What do now?
We didn't, it let itself get captured so it could feed information back to its boss, the God Bug and convert Human leadership to their side, it's covered in SST 3.
sbugman thenoobinator To be honest, it could have done some amazing shit with the parasite bugs in the right environment, imagine ‘Hey cryo time’ and somebody finds something that tips them off
sbugman thenoobinator The Thing, make crew go missing as they develop and decay due to the parasite Maybe give them a neural toxin that paralyzes people to stop the ‘stop them all’ tactic once the bugs burst from a corpse
Silent_Stalker yeah but The main aspect of starship troopers is The struggle between an army of men against a huge fuckton of horrible alien inects that swarm all over The place , trying to change gendre in a format so succesful doesnt seem a good idea anyway
sbugman thenoobinator True, but it’s now soldiers, the buys and themselves that are the threat- kinda pull some red scare shit and spy stuff like some Cold War stuff
This movie has some real decent special effects and shots I should say!
Movie was decent but nothing beats the All Out Large Scale Warfare of hundreds or thousands of Soldiers vs a swarm of Arachnids. :)

The casting agents must not have realised the lady at 1:25 was in the first film as the spaceships pilot...
They did, they liked her so they gave her another role.
Separated at Birth? :P
Also. Pvt. Lei looks like a "discount" version of Denise Richards to me...
Plot twist. The humans were the ones who waged war with the bugs first

Ng B48 and just to clarify I haven't watched any further movies of SST after the first

That general actor somehow look like Patrick Stewart.
He's also "Lt. Dude" from Death Wish 3
Phosphorous perimeter bombs, electric fence surrounding the base
If they had more bases that well made, they might have had better chance of holding that planet
Plasma Bugs would just bomb the fuck out of them
That bug zapper sure took a long time to fry just one arachnid warrior.

it had just turned on and was powering up
Joe and Peck saved the General, a very clever deception
I need one of those.. :-:
Squirrel runs in yard
Kid runs in yard
Pregnant mother runs in yard to save the kid
Police run in yard to arrest you
Swat arrived
Military arrived
Homeless people start eating the dead that surround your house
Nukes fall, your house still safe
Chipmunk chews on wires
The fence is down
What do now?
I wish the kid survived in the movie he was good
bugs are smart how we caught their brain bug in first film?
We didn't, it let itself get captured so it could feed information back to its boss, the God Bug and convert Human leadership to their side, it's covered in SST 3.
Sleeping beauty 💡😍🐞
This movie is absolutely The worst of The trilogy

To be honest, it could have done some amazing shit with the parasite bugs in the right environment, imagine ‘Hey cryo time’ and somebody finds something that tips them off
Silent_Stalker mmm dunno man , maybe that way could have worked...
