My theory is that the death of the god bug would chain reacted to an unknown number of Brain Bugs. Killing many, causing chaos among the bugs, giving the humans an advantage for years to come.
There's hints he actually had control of not just the bug but also the vegetation and fauna of the world as well, technically making him a physical god at least for the bugs.
One thing I'm certain: if there's gonna be more Starship Troopers movies coming, they'll keep inventing more "ruler-type" arachnids, and making them bigger, grosser...
"Are you a fan of ST3?". Are you asking that question seriously? Is this a joke? Dude, the "Starship Troopers" movie franchise is like the "Highlander": There can be only one....
I feel once they killed the god bug another queen would have the bugs under her command dig a protective cavern and the queen would start to transform and take root into the planet and evolve into a new god bug so that way that role would always be filled regardless of what the humans did
The Behemocatyl might be a caste There might be a few more of them; Or there must be either a lot of Queens or Hordes of Brain Bugs. Maybe the Behemocatyl/s (?) are a hybrid between Queens and Brain Bugs ?!
Silent_Stalker Even in starshiptroopers wiki it doesn't cleared up what this creature is; I speculate this Behemocatl seriously have to higher capacity of a Queen to Rule an Entire Race; so I thought it has to be a hybrid between two castes
if it is a hybrid of the queen i have to question the lack of Warriors, it seems as tho they are a higher class of brainbug, kinda like a Nexus they short the information, filter it kinda think of a radio tower or Camp Golf in Fallout New Vegas
So i guess an Arachnid vs Xenomorph battle would be nice to see, too bad Xenos don't have any counter part against Behemecoatyl, maybe the Empress Xenomorph?
i think one bug in charge is a bit dumb. i would prefer if the bug s had queens with something like an empress which was incharge of everything and could be replaced by a queen if it was to be killed.
Whos Nick i already knew there were queens. ive seen starship troopers invasion where we got to see one of the queens. im just saying i would prefer them to be in charge.
i ust rewatched the movie few hours ago, and one intressting thing he always speak from himself in We or Us and me and my i could be pluralis majestatis but i thing its more of a hive mind thing and he is just a hub that connects them.
The DORUK like i told someone else, i already knew queens existed. i haved seen starship troopers invasion. i was just saying i would prefer if the queens were incharge instead.
My theory on the God Bug is that its like the Graveminds from the Halo Games. They start small like Brain Bugs (who are adorbs as fuck) but over time as they eat more and more and more, they eventually become these God like monstrosities.
My hypothesis is that Behemecoatyl is a single entity but with many bodies, and that each arachnid ruled planet in the entire arachnid quarantine zone of the arachnid/bug empire has a god bug placed deep within the planets cores just like Oscar Miguel-1, and that the original one is deep within Klendathu. Another crazy theory I have is with the film universe and roughnecks starship troopers chronicles cgi series universe are two different but exactly the same occurring at once, and maybe the arachnids are invading both universes by the god bug since it has great psychic powers to do this, and both the United Citizen Federation and SICON have to work together, of course this is a lot more sporadic but could be credible since both were made by Paul Verhoven, and you never know, it would be a real game changer as well as frickin awesome, and I really admire the arachnids/bugs since they’re such a cool alien species, of course I don’t see them as the culprits since with all of the theories that fans have conjured up, and I don’t see why they can’t do both launch their spores out into space onto other planets by plasma bugs as well as have bug transports, super bug transports, and even ice bugs move their massive armies, plus it’s shown that in both the films and the cgi series that big can even survive the vacuum of space itself. Also it would be fantastic for toy companies like neca to make starship troopers action figures! Like have some mobile infantry from both the films and the animated series, and awesome may detail d and well articulated, and high quality arachnids of both film and series, have neca cinemachines do the federation starships and drop ships and marauder mechs of all types even from the miniatures game as special editions, and bug transports and ice bugs of both series and films, even large foam figures like the brain bugs, queen bugs, and the god bug like they did with the alien space jockey/engineer/mala’kak, and maybe even do that psychic sniper bug from the fan movie starship troopers deadlock as a special edition. Oh man the ideas, my imagination and ambition knows no bounds! 😆 does anyone agree to my artistic endeavours?
3 was better than 2, but not as good as 1.. i kinda like the animated invasion one more than SST3. also if we keep killing every planet they are on, they will stop fighting and coming, if you kill enough of them or genocide the bugs, then they cant fight you anymore. If i was the super duper spaghetti (marshal) lol.. I would adopt a "Absolute destruction" strategy, and completely delete their infested worlds from orbit and leave nothing alive. then spread out and find new targets, once new targets cant be found, send in the MI to mop up our old worlds and retake them. but not with out heavy orbit and air bombardment support.
TheAngriestGamer Exactly, I still don’t know what the gernerals were thinking when sending infantry and infranty installiations in planets that have hordes or bugs, or in this case a god bug. Hard to believe humans stayed naïve for so long.
It kinda of depends. Bombing the entire planetary surface may destroy valuable resources for humans, and might not be very efective to the bugs, depending of where they are, on the surface or underground.
Vertebrates have single brains whereas many invertebrates have their 'brains" spread throughout their body in clusters that control various functions. I never liked the idea of a god bug or a queen bug for this very reason. What makes the arachnids scary is that even if you kill a brain bug that colony can probably still fight on (if only like animals and therefore easily destroyed) and other colonies likely have brain bugs of their own. In this sense colonies operate somewhat independently and therefore arachnid "civilization" has to be cleared out planet by planet. Considering the resources to take a planet that makes the Arachnids rather horrifying. That being said I don't mind the idea of something above the brain bugs that is more of a greater leadership caste, but it would need to be something not so analogous to what we consider leaders in human society like a queen or a god. The arachnids might be most analogous to Terran insects but they're still aliens. I think everything made after the first movie fell into the video game trap of just adding more breeds of more dangerous arachnid rather than explore the sci-fi angle they provide.
I enjoyed starship troopers 3,yes it was corny, yes it was strange, but any new lore on the unfortunately obscure franchise is greatly appreciated as there are no current books or any new source material to find right now
Man, these guys are packing some heavy rifles. I mean, you'd probably want some serious heat in these encounters, but those things are HUGE. Imagine what that thing must weigh.
Really, the only thing wrong with this movie is the budget. Rico was back, so was the news and the satire, plus we finally got the Marauders. The story was also interesting. Really, it's just too bad the CGI is atrocious.
Sadly it seems it suffered from low budget and people that didnt understand how to use Verhoevens movie or concept. That combination always turns things into crap
1st - Awesome! 2nd - Decent, has some good parts, great action, good FX. 3rd - Dafaq did I just watch? Animated - Refer to 2nd, minus Rico looking like the cross between Adam Jensen and Snake (Goofy af)
I like that the SST movie universe is expanding but I don't like how much they are leaning into the satire. We all know Film1 director didn't like the themes of the book and decided to poke fun at them. But I think it's best for the universe to lean towards straight sci-fi than satire. I do like how big of a threat the arachnid's are turning out to be and how the films have really hammered that Buenos Aires attack wasn't an inside job but that the Arachnid's genuinely hate us
never been a fan of SS3 but always loved the idea of the franchise. its biggest problem is the cgi and writing though. when cg in the 90s is better than its 21st century counterpart it leaves a lot to be asked for
The Starship Trooper book was a story of duty and sacrifice for your country ( or planet in this case). The movies were a scaving retacule of these kind of thing in the wrapper of a bad action movie.
good effort on the vid, but man, ST 3 left big hole in my heart... my regret is that i cant vaporize the memories of this movie from my brain, if only brain bug would end my torment. (OH GOD NOOO ITS SCORPION AAAAAAAAAA "pew pew pew")
Considering the "god bug" was on that planet, i would have expected a lot more "security" and defenders. Just a few handful of Mauraders and then a nuke made things seem a little too easy.....
I found it tolerable. It was far better then 2. Until the end, that prayer scene was fucking dumb. Literally killed the movie for me wit the "Halo" that appeared over the girls head while they were dropping down to the planet.
*desire to know more intensifies*
My theory is that the death of the god bug would chain reacted to an unknown number of Brain Bugs. Killing many, causing chaos among the bugs, giving the humans an advantage for years to come.
like when Kerrigan was turned back to human by xelnaga the swarm shattered
I was under the impression that the "god" bug was simply a really really big brain bug, play acting as a god.
Long have I listened, through rock and metal and time.

I'm not sure they can get much bigger
*Planet bug intensifies*
*starts drawing inspiration from the flood*
We already have the Brain Bug, Queen, and God Bug. Not sure how how much bigger you can get?
"Are you a fan of ST3?". Are you asking that question seriously? Is this a joke? Dude, the "Starship Troopers" movie franchise is like the "Highlander": There can be only one....
the only good bug is a dead bug
Grunt #16 blasphemy!
I feel once they killed the god bug another queen would have the bugs under her command dig a protective cavern and the queen would start to transform and take root into the planet and evolve into a new god bug so that way that role would always be filled regardless of what the humans did
The planet would need a lot of organic matter, unless it can transmute matter.
And now, the short-short version:
"What's the god bug? "
"The Overmind from StarCraft."
"Oh, got it. Thanks!"
overmind from starcraft who invade klendathu and rule the bugs
"Excuse me sir do you have a moment to talk about our killer and doom God bug?"

Silent_Stalker
True.
Also the hybrid caste could biologically be possible if you consider that the bugs could be male, female, hermophrodite, asexual
Silent_Stalker
There are hordes of warriors at the end of the film; by the way; to protect the Behemocoatl
i love starship troopers 3,it had the feel of the first film and had some good ideas,it doesn't get enough credit in my opinion.
The third movie stunk, but I'm digging the creature design. Reminds me a lot of the Overmind from Starcraft.
starcraft taking inspiration from starship troopers obviously
@@amzarsafiy8970 starcraft was made before starship trooper so its the other way around or just a coincidence
@No One Before that there was the Starship Troopers book (1959). The book also had 3 races: Humans, Bugs and Skinnies.
it wasn't to bad but the religion stuff did were thin quick
I agree, but still, much better than the second one which featured possessed humans as baddies & no Casper Van Dien
Omg the scene where the girl is freaking out that the guys worshiping the bug
DefiantBoris that's warhammer 40 k for you
I thought klendathu was the bug homeworld
It is, I think they only mentioned OM-1 being their homeworld because the God Bug was there.

That god bug just creeps me tf OUT 😬
Next video idea: How do bugs eat? or... Do bugs eat humans?
What do bugs eat their planets seem very lifeless
They may eat like some ants, some ant warriors can only eat by being fed from workers through regurgitation.
Human
Pest vermin
Bug is the fruit of the galaxy
You can barbecue em, boil em, broil em, bake em, saute em. Dey's uh, bug-kabobs, bug creole, bug gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple bug, lemon bug, coconut bug, pepper bug, bug soup, bug stew, bug salad, bug and potatoes, bug burger, bug sandwich.

The only thing I like in SST 3 are the power armors - sadly they have such little screen time

hafa adai from guam love your vids
No I didn't enjoy starship troopers 3.

İt was deemed to be better than the second one and it was pretty watchable tbh

starship troopers 1, was great, then it turned to shit when they made a sequel, after that it went shittier. waste of time.

Isn't Klandathu the big homeworld, that is pretty constant in each universe.
The only good aspects in Starship Troopers 3 were the God Bug and the Marauder mechs. They could have done so much more with those ingredients.
Yes, it was 3 that remembered that the Mobile Infantry were mobile because of their power armor.
ST 3 was not as "critic worthy" as the first 1 but I did watch it. I only learned of it's existence after I read the wiki of the game.

the godbug could be like the queen of the xenomorphs in the abscence of a queen a xenomorph would molt into a new one.
Don't think the Federation had much of a choice with the God Bug, it's too smart and powerful to be captured/quarantined.

I want more of that walking plasma blaster that was like an upside down all grey warrior!
Grenadier warrior I think
I wonder what would happen if an alien face hugger got a hold of a god bug or brain bug.
Starship troopers 1, 2, and 3 are linked. But are the CGI movies also in that same timeline?
They gotta start this movie again!!!
My thought was that the God bug was in fact a queen of some sort.
Wait... I always thought the first brain bug was caught by surprise, but the 2nd brain bug was on purpose.
Okay, is anyone else being reminded of the Over G Akrid from LP2?
Is "Starship Troopers: Invasion", going to link with "Traitor Of Mars?

This is where the tremors bug cane from
Another possibility - the Arachnids could create another God Bug.
I think killing behemecoatyl was the right move. Even if it did communicate to the other brain bugs before it died.
I've only seen both of them once, if I've even watched all of it, but 3 is definitely better than 2.
God Bug vs Gravemind
Raving Rando Gravemind or any flood spore wipes the floor with the god bug
Raving Rando flood bugs. Yikes
Raving Rando the highest ranking figure in the flood is a keymind

The prequel for Dead Space. (The God Bug reminded me of the Necromorphs XD)

The H A I K U K I N G Tyranids.
Geez, that's a big bug.
