Thanks for the quick history lesson the SD Gundam line ups. I'm still impressed that we went from BB Senshi kits to the MGSD line. I _really_ hope Bandai continues with more SDCS and MGSD kits.
sd kits are exactly what sucked me into gunpla. the chibi proportions make the kits so approachable to even non-gundam fans! I'm surprised there was no mention of gunpla-kun, although technically it is its own grade.
You are already my favorite Gundam profile on Instsgram, then you became my favorite Gundam store because of your customer service and help, and now you've become my favorite Gundam YT channel because of your tutorials, build videos and THESE videos with Ethan! More vids about the history of Gunpla please!!! OR maybe a short biographic video on Okawara or Katoki... Either way, I wish you all the best success and please keep the YT content coming!!!
Love this! I consider myself an SD afficionado. My love of SD Gundam began with me getting the SDGF Captain Gundam action figure as a kid, and when I grew up and got into Gunpla, my love for the chibi Mobile Suits was reignited. Sure, I build regular models too, but SDs remain my favorites. Even built one last night, the SDCS Gundam Calibarn!
I really enjoyed this, I barely started doing model kits for a year even though it feels more than that. I'd love to see more like these for high grade, entry grade, and so on👍👍
There are quite a few more than 6 that fire bbs. &/ or small missile projectiles, their own helmet, cockpits, fists, etc. I have more than 6 & am missing a bunch yet
1:18 To be fair, Mazinger proper, especially the manga, was pretty depressing and violent itself. Just ask Lorelei, but early video games and such turning her into a straight-up villain obscures that. Same with Getter Robo, Grendizer, and Zambot 3. But one could argue those were exceptions.
i picked a great time to watch the video with jimmy carter in the intro

They definitely will continue the MGSD line
Imagine what a PGSD would be like.

I never cared for the SD look but honestly they’re cute work desk ornaments I’d love to have one especially the way the MG ones look!

This is a great video! I love the deep dive into the history/background of the SD line as that's what got me into robots/gunpla at a very young age.
There are a few other offshoots of the SD Line over the years, such as the one that was based on various gundams from the SD-Gundam G-Generation games
I had a few of these as toys around the early 2000's.
I never knew where they got their name from!!! Great video!!!
Super kool, yes please, keep it coming, I had no idea.
I hope bandai could remake past sd bb model kits with today's modern tech
great video. looked the deep dive into SD development history
I've gotten a few BB Senshii kits recently. They're awesome!!
Dope

Does bandai still produce SDCS kits from the Mobile suit series?
We've seen the occasional SDCS come around, there are a few we'd love to see reprinted again though!
I have a small army of SD Fundamentals heroes I need to put together
Yeah! Doozie Bots!
